I have to say, the new General Manager, Kelley, is TERRIFIC! She makes sure the place is clean, well stocked and makes sure the employees are doing the job they should be doing. She eases off, once everything is set to go in case of another rush. As a long time customer of this location, I truly appreciate her and her commitment to the customer's satisfaction. I have been going to this Panera since 2016. A group of us used to go twice per week. After COVID, we are there once every other week. During the past nine years, there have been a few managers who didn't take pride in the cleanliness nor service. We actually stopped going for about six months due to the unkempt restaurant. Due to the location being good for most of the people in our group, we kept going back. (A few just refused to eat there.) Back to current management. Kelley's hours have changed and there are other managers working most of the time we are there. You can really tell the difference. When Kelley is not on site; after the rush, employees (including managers) are hanging out talking or looking at their phones instead of cleaning or restocking the self-serve drink areas, bathrooms and/or the trash/dish bussing areas. Having worked in Customer service for forty years, I notice things like that. My idea of customer service is similar to what I have witnessed when Kelley is around ... Once you take care of what needs to be done, THEN you can kick back and relax. Admittedly, we do go right at the beginning of their lunch rush, so I may be a bit harsh. Panera is a casual restaurant and I do have high expectations when it comes to cleanliness in food establishments. Through the years, there have been a few excellent managers at this location. They do have good food and you are able to customize almost any dish. Sometimes there are off days, but for the most part, they do a very good job. There is rarely an issue of the orders being wrong, and Panera offers many perks if you join their loyalty club. Check it out. And if your first visit is one of those "off days", give them another chance before writing them off. read more

I frequent this Panera quite a bit for lunch because it's close to my workplace. They rarely get my order wrong, the food is always good, and the staff is welcoming and helpful when I arrive. I've never ordered to eat in -- I always opt for pick-up, simply because they're usually so busy during lunch hours. I genuinely like Panera. That kitchen sink cookie, especially at this location, is delicious and I'm gearing up to go again just to get another one. Their kettle chips are delicious, the chicken salad is good, their salads and soups are great, and when you get that bread and throw some butter on it, it's so good. However, the prices do not justify the portions. My friend bought a smoothie, half sandwich and chips and it cost him $23. What in the world?!? Their combo deals aren't really a deal because even though the prices seem fair, you're getting half a sandwich or a small side salad or a cup of soup, so do yourself a favor if you're hungry- buy full izes a la carte so you know you're getting as close to your money's worth as you can (even though even that is overpriced). Clean location, decent service (no one is rude, but no one is happy to see you either. They are a safe neutral in the friendliness category). They fire out your food at a good pace. The day we went the place was packed around 2pm anbd even the cashier was surprised at how much the place is hopping. This is also a good place to meet friends because they have lots of small tables that can be assembled together to accommodate eveeryone in your party and the employees are cool with you moving the tables for that. read more

Their breads are awesome and their bagels too (except noticeably smaller over the years). I recently tried their BBQ chicken sandwich and there was barely any meat at all, it was shredded chicken that was so thinly spread on the bread it was like no chicken. I will never order that again. Small servings and painfully slow! Do not try and walk into this place and expect to place an order at the counter in less than 10 minutes if there are three or more people in front of you. I typically always order their chicken frontega sandwich, which has good flavor, in my opinion, but always light on the chicken. Today I tried their new southwest chicken melt sandwich because the picture looked so good. The flavor was good, but true-to-form, there was almost no chicken on the sandwich. Well, to begin with both sandwiches I ordered they didn't have the correct meat for one (they didn't have roasted Turkey) The Second sandwich didn't have Gouda cheese for the other one. For what a loti made they are skimpy on the meat.(big time) place was clean. The service was ok.. felt as though being rushed when ordering You would think it being a new item they would have the correct items... there is barely any chicken on this sandwich, and hardly any of the cheese that I had to substitute which was feta. Food was dry . Needless to say, Panera was not a good choice and would not recommend.. just went to their website and took their picture of their sandwich. I came to Panera Bread to dine in and ordered a sweet pastry and a tea. They handed me just the sweet, and I had to remind them that I ordered tea too. On top of that, when I asked for the sweet to be warmed up, they told me they couldn't do it because of their policy. Instead, they pointed me to the microwave and didn't even offer a plate to heat it on--I had to go back and ask for one. Once they give you the item, they won't take it back to warm it up, which makes the dine-in experience feel very "do-it-yourself." You know it's not a bad place to come over for a hot cup of coffee and some lunch. In my opinion, it's not really good for hot breakfast items (except maybe for its soufflés). It is though.. good for variety of sandwiches, salads, and soups. Best to try the "pick-two" If this place is new for you. Also their Panera Plus program isn't bad... but you'd have to be a frequent customer that likes their coffee (alot) to make it worth the monthly fee. Don't bother with curbside. I've had over 5 experiences with horrible curbside pickup here. This is one of my favorite "fast food" chains and this location provides great service just how panera is known for. My biggest issue here is just cleanliness. I came here the other day after school with my 2 boys on our way to the children's museum for a quick and fresh bite. Service was good but it was extremely dirty for a Panera. Also is it me or have food sizes drastically shrunk?! Panera has been a go to for me for years but with prices staying the same or increasing and sizes shrinking and the store being dirty I can't tell you when I'll return which is such a bummer. read more

No, no way.! That does sound like weird way to start a review but that is the answer to if I will go to this location again. The portions were small on my steak sandwich and the macaroni -n- cheese. The macaroni was not hot it was a little more than room temperature. The sandwich like I said had a small portion of meat and cheese on it, I was asked if I was ok with horse radish on it, I said yes. This too seemed to be a small portion. The only large portion of anything I got there was the free water. So the answer at the begin of this review stands. For a quick inside of the place review it looks like all the others I have seen , from the counter set up to the pictures on the walls. There were not many people in there. From my guess the only they were there is because the lime the food from other locations or die hard customers. It's not portions or prices. read more

This evening my husband and I ate at Panera after our pickleball tournament here in Lacey. I watched a young lady (asked her name and think she said it was Adriana) work tirelessly....refilling items, taking time to show me where the salt/pepper was/ sweeping the rug and rolling it up, sweeping the floor, taking a huge number of dirty dishes to the kitchen. This worker, with her ponytail bouncing back and forth as she went from one item to the next, was amazing. I'd love for the corporate office to notice her work ethic and reward her. With her efforts, I hope she dreams big dreams because she is the kind of person we need in our society! read more

It's rare that my husband and I get a day off together, and so we decided to have breakfast together. This has got to be one of my favorite places and I definitely missed it while we were living in Hawaii. Today, I got my usual, Asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese. I was disappointed they didn't have loaded potato soup. The lady who took our order was nice and pleasant. Although, her card machine wasn't working and we had to swipe numerous times and finally, I had to enter my card number manually. We sit down and wait for our food. My husband got a lemonade to drink, and I got a blended caramel drink. He takes a sip of mine and tells me it tasted more like mocha. A waiter comes by a gives us another drink with whip cream and caramel drizzle on it. I guessed that was my drink. Anyway, we never ended up getting the lemonade. My husband hates correcting people because he is shy. And so no matter how much he knew coffee would cause him to have stomach issues, he still drank it. The food, of course was good as always. Always a disappointment and I dont know why we subject ourselves to this every few weeks. From the grill (steamed?) cheese sandwich (pictured) that isnt grilled at all, to the $9 scoop of macaroni and cheese in the giant bowl that they pawn off as a 'large' to the steak sandwich with barely enough steak to fill half a sandwich, this place is sure to leave you wanting more.
