Outside they have fire pits and heaters so you don't have to worry about getting cold during the winter. They even have a stage with occasional live music. The beer always taste fantastic and they have a huge variety to choose from. Sometimes the lines can get long, but the beertenders are quick and knowledgeable. First time in the Golden area of Colorado. I wanted to hit a local microbrewery before we headed out of town that was family friendly. Decided to try New Terrain based on the pictures of the location and beer they had on tap. Was very impressed by the setup and the quality of beer they served. Great food truck options gave you a variety of types of food to go along with your beer. The live music was an added bonus. The staff was friendly and the service was great. It is a very family and pet friendly place. We really enjoyed wrapping up our evening here. We would love to come back next time we are in the Golden/Denver area. read more

Such a fun place. Was in town visiting and was a very clean and modern brewery. My only complaint was I asked one of the bartenders if we could turn on the outside heaters that were on the patio and she stated flat out no. It was cold out but wasn't bad. The only downside is the parking and crowd, especially in the winter when outdoor seating is more limited. However, they do have ample fire pits and warmers at that time. Now for the good: quick service, AMAZING beers, and the atmosphere/scenery is perfect. They have several flight options that I would highly recommend, as MOST of their beers you have to try at least once. I love this place! We come here all the time when we're out in Golden for a hike or round of disc golf - and it's a great place to bring visitors too. They have ample outdoor space, so even though it's always incredibly popular on weekends, you never have to wait long for a table! They have such a great beer selection - there's something of almost every style, so this is a crowd-pleaser for everyone! To top it off - we haven't been able to go, but they have lots of exercise-related and live music events throughout each week. This is clearly a community spot & a crowd favorite. This spot is hopping! We came here on a Saturday afternoon after a hike and oh my gosh...the lot was completely full and we ended up parking down the street! I do appreciate that they have 2 bars--helps disperse the lines. We went to the outdoor bar at the front to grab beers. I love that they have 4oz tasters, so you can try a variety of beers. I thought that all of the beers I got were interesting and pretty good. Bummer that they ran out of some of their more popular beers on tap. We managed to find seating in the outside area (there's the main patio and spill over space). Wish there were a few more umbrellas, especially since Denver is so sunny! Folks were friendly and willing to let us share tables with them. Seems like there is a mountain bike trail nearby? Lots of people had their mountain bikes with them at the brewery, and they even have a spot for people to lock up their bikes. In the future, I might look for a brewery that is a little less crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but the weather was really nice so maybe everyone else had the same idea as us to get a mid-afternoon brewski. read more

Apparently my fiance and I are the last people who knew this place existed, because this place was PACKED when we stopped by on a sunny Saturday after a hike in Golden. New Terrain literally has the BEST location - walking distance to hikes, mountain views, and a huge piece of land allowing for plenty of outdoor seating. There were so many people (and dogs) waiting to drink beer at 12:00 on a Saturday. We were told it would be an hour and a half wait - it ended up being about an hour and 15 mins. That was fine though, since the brewery backs up to a path and a beautiful neighborhood that was explored while waiting. When we finally got a table, we got to sit on the patio and enjoy some delicious beer. I wasn't sure if there were so many people there due to this spot's great location or the beer, but turns out they're there for both! The beer was great (we both got dark beer because it was technically still winter) and we even took some home with us. We'll definitely be back here to enjoy New Terrain's environment and beer! read more

This spot is inadvertently set up perfectly for social distancing. A massive brewery with a huge outdoor footprint, it has killer sunset views as well as a location in between a dog park and a bicycle path. Needless to say it's popular! Really loved sampling their beers - especially the IPAs. Such a great selection of quality to choose from. Unfortunately didn't try any food. They had a number of tables spread out throughout the parking lot too - each with their own heater or mini fire place. Super cute! Only down side is no way to make a reservation and you have to be close by for when they call you to get off the wait. All in all would highly recommend! read more

New Terrain Brewing is one of the many reasons why I love Golden! I've been here a few times already with a good friend, and it's the chillest place to catch up over an assortment of delicious beers. The first time we visited was sunny and warm outside, so we each ordered a flight tower and enjoyed these in addition to the Dumpling Deli food truck parked nearby. The second time was on the brink of winter, so we ordered beer and sat by the fireplace. I've seen New Terrain get crowded, especially on nice days. People bring their pets and kids to chill on the outdoor patio. The beer itself is fantastic, sorted on the menu in columns according to type. Lots of cool swag available too. I really enjoyed the several beers that I purchased from New Terrain lately! Two specifically stood out in my mind. I really liked the Pillow Drops pilsner. Pilsners have to be done just right for me and this pilsner was as it had just a right amount of breadiness yet was crisp for a perfect summer beer to recline with. The other beer I enjoyed was the Mojito Sour Ale. This too was light and perfect for the warm weather and had all the features of a mojito that you hope to see including that touch of mint. New Terrain was a real treat and I'd love to try additional beers that I didn't get to try the first time hopefully in the near future where we can all travel freely again. read more

Location is prime, right at the base of Golden Gate Canyon, perfect for you to take a hike, enjoy the outdoors and swing by the brewery on the way home. It is a hot spot!! We pulled up and it was a bit crowded but weren't waiting longer than 15 minutes or so. The space they have is HUGE. Plenty of outdoor seating, including great open space inside as well. They had two food trucks during our visit, The Road Runner (mexican street food)  and Shawing (fries, wings & sandwiches). The food was bomb!! Great burrito bowls and parmesean garlic fries. Their Hazy IPA was delicious. Great flavor and kept you coming back for more. Definitely recommend checking it out!! read more

New Terrain was a great spot to get a drink or 2 with some friends on Christmas Eve. I'm not a huge beer drinker but the fact that they had 3 sours on tap was such a pleasant surprise! I really enjoyed my blackberry currant seasonal sour and didn't mind the raspberry whit I shared with my husband. New Terrain really has the ski town brewery vibe even though we were in an industrial park in Golden. They had a great outdoor area as well that unfortunately we didn't get to check out due to the random rain on Christmas Eve. My only real knock on this place is we got their at 3 because their website said they'd be open till 6. Sadly, once we got there the doors said closing at 4. Totally get that on a holiday weekend but it was a bummer to have planned a get together based on our prior knowledge and our time being drastically cut short with friends. read more

Great beer, great service, great environment. My fiance and I were looking for a brewery post hike at the Mount Galbraith Loop Trail and stumbled upon New Territory Brewing Co. We were wary as we drove through an commerical park to the address in our gps, but were pleasantly surprised with a packed parking lot and lively brewery at 3pm in a Thursday. There were several seats still indoors but we decided to sit outside by a fire pit. My partner was thoroughly impressed by the beer that we tried, "best draft beers I've had, right up next to [favorite brewery in BC Canada]". We started off with two of their award-winning beers, Suntrip (Belgian Wit) & Mirage (Dry-Hopped Mosaic Sour), before also trying Rubus Deliciosus (raspberry wit), Against the Current (blackcurrant sour), and Golden Haze (New England IPA). I'm a fan of sour beers and I had plenty of options to choose from! We also advantage of the food truck situated at the edge of the property by ordering jalapeno poppers and buffalo wings. We loved seeing people come by after their bike ride or with their pups; there's a massive dog park just past the parking lot. Overall, New Territory is only a short 25 min drive from downtown with great beer and a fantastic set up. Great place to spend the late afternoon! read more

Always love a brewery with a view! Don't be fooled by the industrial park on your drive in, you will feel like you're up in the mountains once you arrive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options and a new stage for live music on the way! Huge garage doors open up to the patio on nice days and cozy stone fireplace to keep you warm on chilly ones. The beer, while not my favorite in the area, is definitely solid. Some hazy IPAs, experimental sours and browns, and some standard drinkable lagers and wheats. Ask them about their beer combos! The beer tree flights allow you to sample the menu while impressing your social media following. They have some great events and food trucks so keep an eye on the schedule for the highlights. This is a great place to visit, there's a ton of room outside, and there's misters for the hotter months. There's a small stage where they have music on the weekends. They have all kinds of beer, you'll definitely find more than IPAs here. When I went there was quite a line but it moved really quick. I don't know what their system is, but they have it down and your wait time is really short. They also have canned beers you can take with you. There were a few food trucks when I was there, they have food trucks every day, they have a calendar on their website for which food truck is there when. The outside area is dog-friendly. The location is great, at the bottom of a hill, many people visit after a hike. The beer was really good and it's a great location and the service was great.
