Ordering was easy and food was in the table fairly quickly even though it was packed! The overall experience lead us to return the next day as well to try other items on the menu. This was my 2nd time coming to Mad Chef!…read more The first time I came here was about 2 years ago (before doing yelp reviews). I was not very impressed. This time around I cannot complain! Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

We came across blue-collar restaurant, but when we pulled in, I was surprised to see it was located inside a golf country club. I almost turned around, but my daughter encouraged us to give it a try--and I'm so glad we did. The restaurant was beautiful inside, with a peaceful view overlooking the golf course that made for a really relaxing lunch. The food was excellent. I ordered the salmon with vegetable risotto special, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really stood out, though, was the service. My daughter is nursing, and my granddaughter has soy and dairy allergies, so we had to be very careful with her meal. Our waiter, Matt, was outstanding. He went above and beyond, checking with the kitchen multiple times to make sure everything was completely free of soy and dairy. He helped put together a custom salad bowl for her, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, we had such a lovely experience--from the food to the atmosphere to the attentive service. I would absolutely recommend this spot and would gladly return.

Would appreciate some better bourbon's to choose from for an old fashioned. Staff were super friendly and on top of our drinks and food orders! Will definitely be back!

Rise and Vine…read more Microbrewery and pub located in quaint Mount Joy, PA, that's been in operation since 2018. They specialize in brewing small, batch seasonal brews and a farm-to-table dining. The Good: *Friendly service *As mentioned above, the beers are seasonal so they're always changing. *Poor Life Choices Hazy IPA was very interesting. Probably the sweetest Hazy I've ever drank and, while I wouldn't kick it out of bed, it's not what I'd prefer. *Cheesy Beer Fries upgrade is a must! The cheese was perfection, with a nice flavor of beer without it being overwhelming. *Large space which is great for large parties. We had six people and it was no issue. The Meh: *Free street parking but it can be difficult to find at times, believe it or not. There are a few free lots close-by, tho. *Interior can get a bit raucous *The Rachel (basically a Reuben w/ turkey instead of pastrami) was very underwhelming, a touch greasy, and the ratio of turkey to bread was way off. The Ugly: *The Chicken on the Chicken Nachos was hammered hard--as if Chicken breasts aren't dry enough. Conclusion: Overall, it's probably 3.5*, but I'll round-up because I'd still most likely be back to give them another go next time we're in the area.

I enjoyed their "lampin" German Pilsner - clean, crisp, went down entirely too easily with some fries that they sprinkle with some sort of seasoning that make them incredibly easy to gobble up Space is open with plenty of tables and a rather large bar in the center - perfect for either large groups (I have been here with 12+) or 2.

I don't know how something made with orange juice tastes like a tootsie roll, but it does! My sister had a tequila sunrise and said she enjoyed it. The bartender was super friendly and the gentleman (who we assumed was the owner) was also very nice and talking to everyone! We felt welcomed there, which is always a plus!

Service was quick and friendly at the bar and there are nice variety of beer styles to suit most tastes. I enjoyed a River Rat IPA (yeah, I know, boring!) which was nicey flavored and with a bit more malt than typical IPA. Food is also available, but we did not sample the menu--hence my "personal limit" of four stars for a drinks-only review. Starview has somewhat limited hours--open Wed thru Sat--so check befiore visiting. The bar was reasonably busy during our Saturday evening visit with what seemed to be a nice mix of visitors and locals Starview is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in lovely Columbia, PA.
