I reached out to them via dm to place an appointment, but you can also do it yourself on their website. I asked whether we would need to commit to anything during the appointment and they said no. This made me feel a bit at ease, as we were just planning to go in to explore our options and become educated in picking out engagement rings. They responded very quickly to my dm and helped me make an appointment, answered any questions I had, and added me to a text chat where I could send in some ring inspos and what styles I was looking for. We came a bit early, but they were able to accommodate us. We were guided to a table reserved especially for us and were offered champagne or sparkling juices/water and some cookies as snacks. Our jeweler, Lyn, was very easy to talk to and she made us feel very comfortable during the entire appointment. We told her that we didn't have much knowledge about picking out a ring and what to look for, but she was able to help us through the entire process and guide us through all of those steps. We had a ring design in mind already and we showed her the photo and she was able to show me the similar setting, diamond shape, and carat size, against my finger. We tried on different band widths to see which one I liked better, went over the 4 C's (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight), and explained to us what they meant. She showed us different diamonds in different carat sizes and the differences in clarity grade between them. My bf and I really learned a lot during our consultation and are very glad we booked an in person consultation with Hung Phat. A friend recommended that I go to Tony to set a new loose diamond into the engagement ring my husband (then fiancé) proposed to me with. Since our style had evolved during our two-year engagement, we decided to update the ring- switching from gold prongs to white gold and adding a hidden halo. We trusted Tony to handle both the new diamond and the updated setting at the same time. I did receive my ring later than the originally agreed timeline, but at the time, I didn't think much of it and assumed everything was fine. However, when I later brought my ring to a reputable jeweler in the Bay Area for an appraisal, they examined it under magnification and pointed out multiple issues. The basket and prongs were poorly constructed, the diamonds were improperly set, and there were visible cracks throughout the setting- issues that were clearly not caused by normal wear and tear. I contacted Tony shortly after to address these concerns, and he asked me to bring the ring back for him to inspect. At that point, however, I had already lost confidence and did not feel comfortable returning, given the time, money, and trust I had already invested. The photos speak for themselves- this level of workmanship was extremely disappointing, especially for something as meaningful as an engagement ring.

I talked to them about what was going on and how I also wanted to smooth out the side prongs because they were digging into my finger. They suggested I run it all through insurance first so we could get as much of it covered. I came back when I got the okay from my insurance and Dom helped me out! We discussed what was going to be done, he gave me some tips on things we could do for my ring in the future to prevent it from bending a prong again, and then we got the quote. Hands down the best place to get your jewelers fixed! They finished it in about a week and it looks better than when I first got it! The prongs on the center stone are perfect, and the ones for the side diamonds look amazing! They were able to smooth them down a bit but then add more material to make sure they are nice and snug!
