Went there on a Sunday about 11 AM. We had a brief wait with other hungry but nice people. One man suggested the corned beef hash. I had it. Superb. Service good and friendly. Very attentive. Stopped and had a great lunch today. Cozy atmosphere, with tasty food which was fresh and well made. Thoughtful, attentive staff. If you're up for the challenge, ask about dessert. This place was great. It was a breath of fresh air to go just outside the tourist areas and to come to a food establishment where it didn't look like everyone hates their job. The waitress was easy going and attentive, as were the other staff members. The food came out very quickly (or maybe I was used yo the slower service in Bolton Landing). Placed an order to go. Grilled chicken sandwich and two hot dogs. Food was so bad it wasn't edible. Chicken was like full-on rubber, obviously frozen then microwaved. I have good teeth and could not bite through the rubbery meat. Hot dogs were also rubber and shriveled. I think that indicates they were over cooked. So though they to had to be thrown out. Rating 5 stars because of the service. Folks who work here made me feel right at home and ensured I left full and happy. What impressed me most is they have a girl on staff that knows sign language and was able to serve a deaf couple. Love that! The place has a limited menu, so check that out on Yelp before going. I don't get to Warrensburg frequently. Last week, I was driving through during lunchtime. Just as I was thinking about where to eat for lunch, I approached the New Way Diner. It is an old-fashioned looking diner, but from the outside looks very crisp and "re-done". I pulled in and used my Yelp app to see if I could find some information. Nada, but I decided to take a chance. I walked in and the place was bright, airy and spotlessly clean. I sat down at a table for two and opened the menu. At first, I was dismayed. They had burgers and hot dogs on the menu, and that is not my lunch of first choice. I was about to leave when I saw Greek Salad on the menu. I ordered it and it was at my table in abotu 5 minutes. Wow. The lettuce was very abundant, crispy, fresh, lovely-looking romaine. The salad came with a delicious greek-style vinaigrette on the side, an abundance of kalamata olives and cheese, and two delicious dolmas. As I ate, I couldn't get over how delicious this salad was, how well proportioned in ingredients, and how reasonably priced. (I think $7.99) As I was finishing my salad, I heard another customer ask about the soup. Soup? I hadn't even noticed that. Today's was minestrone, so I asked my waitress for a cup. It was great. Homemade, not out of some 'mix" or base from Sysco. The vegetables and beans were abundant and perfectly cooked. (The veggies were not too mushy.) A nice cup of coffee to finish, an efficient, friendly waitress, and quick service made it a great experience. I was not familiar with New Way in Glens Falls or Queensbury, and haven't tasted their hot dogs, for which they are apparently well know. But my impression is that this diner is what a small-town diner should be like. Fresh, quick, HOMEMADE, tasty food, clean shop, good service, good price. They have everything. Now I need to find another excuse to get back to Warrensburg. read more

We were looking for something quick and inexpensive after a day of hiking. We found new way on Yelp and had the bonus of really tasty food, in addition to being quick and reasonably priced. Love this little locals breakfast spot not far from LG. The place is a little small, but does offer some outdoor seating too. But I wouldn't suggest this place if you have a large party. Most seating is for 4. The food is sooo much better than what you get in town and a fraction of the price. I almost never eat in the village anymore. Don't assume your only options are those touristy places everyone knows and they put all over the magazines. Foodies can find lots to appreciate in the surrounding towns. I would give this restaurant a zero if I could, but since I do like the food and not all of the employees are rude I guess one star will suffice. My fiancé and I moved to the area a couple of years ago and have been coming to this restaurant as long as such. We do not go every week, but we are pretty regular customers. Staff recognize us and even our orders. We have had a couple of very negative customer experiences but after the first it didn't entirely deter us. We are pretty forgiving and we don't demand much. The first incident occurred quite some time ago. We were at the restaurant on a busy Sunday morning and we stood at the front desk awaiting a table. As people continued to pile in behind us, we decided to sit at the one available table although it was dirty and had not yet been cleaned by a waitress. It's a pretty small restaurant with not a lot of space, so we weren't sure what other option we had. At the time there was no sign indicating that we needed to wait to be seated and it is a pretty casual place. After sitting down, we reviewed the menu and waited to be served. This didn't happen for about ten minutes. We didn't really care that much, we were just glad to be served, but when the waitress came over to our table, she asked us if we had been sitting there for a while and when we said yes, she simply and very rudely stated "well it's hard to tell if you need to be served when you sit at a dirty table". As I mentioned, we continued to go to this restaurant. After today, we will not be returning. Today we brought my younger brother, who is visiting us, for lunch. It is the 4th of July weekend, so pretty busy in the area. We had to park alongside the museum next door as the usual spots in the parking lot were filled and a tow truck was also blocking various parking spots. We had taken two vehicles as we planned to go to different places following lunch. We go inside, are greeted by our waitress who is quite pleasant. As we are waiting for our food, a man comes into the dining room and calls out our car makes, models and colors as well as a truck that belonged to someone else. He informs everyone that those vehicles need to be moved so that the tow truck can get out of the parking lot. Slight inconvenience, yes. But we comply and go outside to move our vehicles. He indicates where we will need to park, my fiancé parked in one spot and the other spots were immediately taken by cars that were pulling into the parking lot. So, although we have at this rate already been at the restaurant for 30 minutes, have already ordered our food, I now have to again find a place to park my car. As Main Street was very busy, I was forced to pull out of the parking lot entirely and drive around to find somewhere to park as my food is probably sitting on the table and cold. Once that ordeal is completed and I found a parking spot on the street, I went inside where my brother and fiancé were waiting for me as they ate. I felt too angry to even stay there. After a minute, my fiancé states he will handle the check if I want to step back outside. I said "I would like that" and left. Later, my fiancé tells me that although the staff were aware of what occurred because he told the waitress, she is the only one that apologized. He waited for sometime at the counter as he tried to pay the bill and the staff still accepted his money despite the complete inconvenience they caused to our meal. I hope the owners of this restaurant learn that if someone is paying you for your service, you should treat them with respect. It is not your customers fault if a bread truck is stuck in the parking lot and needs to be towed, and their afternoon should not be ruined because of that. I have not ever been at a restaurant where I have been disrespected as such and I will ensure that I continue this message and not recommend that anyone I know pays money to eat at this restaurant. read more

Not much is open in this area in the morning so there weren't really other places for us to go at 8:30am. But this place is a nice sweet diner-type establishment. I got the simple egg, meat, and home fries combo and had a friendly server who made sure that I had everything I needed. Nothing extraordinary but the atmosphere and service was great. read more
