One of my colleagues mentioned this place to me so I came here for lunch with some coworkers. I kept hearing how good the sandwiches were and was honestly a bit skeptical because of all the hype. I decided to try the steak Philly and wow, this sandwich was amazing. The cheese was perfectly melted over the seasoned meat and the thousand island dressing, pickles, and matchstick fries made it even better. The service was great and it's a nice spot for all day breakfast or lunch. I definitely recommend trying this place if you're craving a good sandwich. read more

Such an awesome find for me! I love a good deli, and this is a great deli at that! It's hard to spot as its back off the main road a bit in a strip mall, and I've passed by it for 15 years now without knowing it is was there. The people working here are friendly and treat you like family and it's got such an anti-Santa Fe vibe to it that I love it! The menu is huge, and the sandwiches are great, but you have to check out the salads! They are total works of art, and priced super reasonably. Now that I know about this awesome little deli I will stop here often moving forward. read more

First time here. Very extensive menu including some greek items. I ordered a Little Italy, as I love Italian sandwiches and got fries for the side. My sandwich was excellent, I would definitely come back and get their other options. At the time, their soda machine wasn't working but they had canned soda options. This place is a diamond in the rough. The food was so good, we went two days in a row for lunch! First day I had the tofu scrambled eggs with perfectly crispy hash browns and a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. The tofu scramble was ok but the hash browns and bagel were perfect. My husband had the matzo ball soup and a tuna sandwich on rye. He said it was absolutely delicious. The second day, I had the matzo ball soup and a toasted plain bagel as I needed something a little more bland. Very delicious and satisfying. My husband had the portobello mushroom sandwich on sourdough with coleslaw and he said it was excellent. The star of the show, however, is Shannon. She remembered our names from the first visit and treated us like family. She is a tremendous asset to the business! She is extremely efficient, professional and fun! We will be back! read more

Not sure what happened to this place. For years they served decent reliable classic deli foods and the staff was wonderful and friendly. The last two times I've tried it have led to sadly inedible meals. I had one bad experience, but decided to give them another chance and was even more disappointed the second time. See the attached photo of what was supposed to be a toasted Sesame Bagel with Sausage, egg and cheese. Has anyone ever seen a bagel that was so bizarrely tiny and undercooked? It was tasteless, powdery and yet tough as rubber, while the mess of sausage, scrambled egg and cheese were disgusting. The cheese tasted like some industrial byproduct, and the eggs were just plain gross. Have heard from other friends who've eaten there recently and also reported that it just isn't the same anymore. Broad menu choices, excellent service, reasonable prices, comfortable ambience, easy access off two major streets, adequate parking mostly near the entrance, outdoor seating in season, clean restrooms, carryout available, fresh bagels and very good coffee. There's always hot homemade chicken soup. The kitchen does a top not job and is agreeable to variations on menu choices. I'm a spoiled, regular customer there but will recommend it without hesitation. It can be busy around noon and a brief wait may be in order but instant seating is the norm. I've gone there regularly for over five years because the food is always good and the service is always as good as you'll find in Santa Fe. If you like eggs Benedict, there are several variations and the deli sandwiches are larger than life. Good fish and chips, crab cakes and fresh made deli salads too. Excellent traditional French fries as a side for most orders. I've never had a bad experience there. The crowd can be friendly and is quite varied, everything from business suits to workout clothes,casual is just fine. In my opinion, it's our towns only real Deli. read more

If you are looking for a deli that does not place condiments on the table...nope this isn;t it. But if you are looking for a New York style deli serving good food....THIS IS IT! From the Scrambled Eggs with Nova to the Rachel Sandwich; both dishes were well prepared and the plates were empty by the time we were done. However I should have ordered a little cream cheese with the eggs and nova... but that was my fault. It's a cold rainy day....what does a Yid do to prevent getting a "cold" you ask? They eat, drink and slurp the best chicken matzo ball soup in the city different (like their kin restaurant..:). The soup was hot, tasty, full of scrumptious chicken and broth with nice matzo balls. This is Jewish Penicillin at its finest. I have tried to order from here and after always waiting and seeing how understaffed they are, I always walk out. One can wait in a line to order and the girl at cash register continues to pick up phone calls and orders and leaves those waiting in line to just stand there and eventually leave. Decent food but horrible service. Once you sit down you're basically on your own. I've been here at least six times in the last year and it's always the same. One of the two female severs is especially rude. You can say thank you while trying to be friendly but she completely ignores you. The young man working on the weekends it's also very inattentive. This place has a great menu selection of bagels, breakfast dishes and sandwiches. I had the Blackstone Benedict plate, poached eggs on an English muffin with guacamole, and tomatoes covered in Hollandaise sauce, with home fries on the side. I left the home fries on the plate (they were mediocre) but the Eggs Benedict was perfect! Our waitress Debbie was a good sport and an excellent server.
