Like most people these days, these people don't want to help if they have to put in any effort. They give me no choice but to request a buyback on my car that I love but no one can fix. And, they treat me like a crazy person because I think I should be able to go over a speed bump at 7 or 8 miles an hour without the ABS coming on, the vehicle lurching and being inoperable until the ABS stops. In a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Even showed them multiple videos of the issue occurring at these low speeds but still it's in my paperwork that I go too fast. We have a jeep in our family. They went to the drive in there across the street from new berg jeep. Unfortunately the battery died during the movie. That was on Saturday April 30,2022. We had to leave it inside the drive in until today Sunday May 1,2022. The tow company first told us they would be there at 9 am, mind you this started at 1:30 in the morning. So we go back and wait for the tow. Then they said it would be between 12:30 and 2 pm. Before they would get there. I seen the jeep dealer sign and thought maybe just maybe they could help. I went over there and asked the three very nice young men wait to go inside if they knew where I could get some help. Told them what and where and the young man said we can help. He grabbed the charging box they have and come with us and helped us get it started. Man what a wonderful thing. My sister who's Jeep it is is disabled and on oxygen. I don't remember his name but he was wonderful with very blue eyes. He is truly a gentleman. He saved the day. He said he use to be a mechanic there now he has another job there. I wanted to say how much we appreciate what he did for us. We live in SE Portland so it's not like it was within walking distance. Thank newberg for having such awesome associates. I bought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee at Newberg Jeep RAM on July 23rd, 2020. When I bought the Jeep I was NOT informed that it needed to pass DEQ. This apparently was what held up the registration coming to me from the DMV. My Temporary permit ran out oct 21st So on October 20th I went in to the dealership to get a new temporary permit. This was when I was told in a very rude manor by the sales manager that I had to go to the DEQ (news to me). So next I leave the dealership and go to the DEQ in Sherwood and the car doesn't pass. I call Newberg Jeep to schedule a service to fix whatever is making the car not pass DEQ. The earliest they had a rental car available was October 31st. Not a big deal because the car was functional it just wasn't passing. Saturday, October 31st I drop the car off first thing in the morning and go back home in the rental. Ed otter the service manager from Newberg Jeep called me that same day and told me the filter is installed they just need to complete the drive cycle and it might be 2-3 days. Not a problem. Wednesday morning Ed calls on his cell again saying a few of his techs were out sick and it's taking longer than expected. I call Ed back Friday and Saturday and leave voicemails asking for an update and get no response. After I call him Monday (November 9th) and get no response I call the dealership to ask why he's not responding and they initially put me on hold and hung up on me before I ever spoke to anyone. Then Finally someone in the service department answers and says Ed is no longer is with the company. Then for the past 11 days it's been me calling for an update....getting placed on hold...getting told they will call me back and then they don't... and then saying they still haven't been able to get the drive cycle complete. I called them Monday November 16th and was told they would call back and they never did. When they told me they would call me back when I called yesterday, Friday November 20th I told them their services were no longer needed. Today is November 21st. 2-3 days is not the same as 20. If you are struggling to accomplish the repairs that's completely fine. You need to be better about communication. Not keeping a customer informed of the status is ridiculous. They didn't charge me a dime and I wouldn't have paid them one. The sad thing here is I really enjoyed buying my car there. The salesperson Michael I dealt with in July Was awesome. The service department not so much. I'd recommend someone who answers the phone and uses it. read more

The most pushy, annoying, scum bags on the planet. I had gone there with the hope of finding a new jeep grand cherokee for my wife. Well going there was a horrible experience. We had literally become surrounded by salesmen. What a joke. Ended up in Beaverton at northwest jeep dodge Chrysler. Much better selection and way better experience. Ask for Vic, he was very nice and patient with us, which ended up good him, seeing we got the jeep and I traded in my truck for a new mega cab. read more

Went by to look at some vans. The salesman told us the price of one 2014 was $22,000 with 43,000 miles and the 2013 was $18,400 with 87,000 miles. We test drove them both. I asked him 3 times how much for the 2013. He even went inside and came back out several times and said $18,400. Well I had pulled it up on the Web via the phone. The 2013 was $16,700 and the 2014 was $18,700. When I showed it to him he seemed to already be aware. We really liked the 2014 and would have purchased it from them had we not felt they were deceiving. We dislike the whole car buying scene and this just confirms why. read more

We own a Jeep & a Dodge truck, and I have stopped in a few times for service. It has always felt like, If have to help you I guess I can. So I have never give Newberg Dodge very good praise. Today, my husband and I stopped in to look at purchasing a Jeep Compass. I am a give another chance kind of person. NOPE. We pulled in, looked around, spotted a couple we would have liked to talked to someone about. No one came out so, we wondered inside. There was no greetings or acknowledgement. Waited a little bit then went back outside and looked at some of the trucks. One other customer insight. We were there for about 40 minutes. Being a recent transplant and searching for a new trust worthy auto shop, I gave Newberg Dodge a shot ( I am NOT a fan of Dealer Service Departments). Expecting Dealer Service Department pricing to be slightly higher than a smaller Service Shop I previously used, I would like to say that Newberg Dodge has taken great care of my car during it's regular service visits, and have found that the pricing was far more reasonable than expected. The service department has been had my car done within the time frame quoted with courteous and friendly service. I am also surprised at the horrible comments regarding their Service department, had I checked Yelp prior to the recommendation I received, I would have put Newberg Dodge in the same round file as everyone else I checked out, luckily I have been pleased with Newberg Dodge Service Department. read more

The service department is terrible. If there was a no star option they would have gotten it. I took my truck in for work on recalls. I called several days in advance to schedule and make sure the parts that were needed were there. When I scheduled the appointment on the phone they told me it would be a 6 hour job. I had also asked them for pricing on a remote start and they were going to call back with a price. A day went by and I called back only to be told I would be called back again in a couple of days. Once I dropped it off for appointment i planned on it being done by the end of the day. I received a call that evening stating there had been a complication and a part was broke and they were having one delivered in the morning and my truck would be done shortly after that. No call the next day. I had to call again and when you call for service it seems like it goes to a call center so they dont seem to know whats going on. They found out the part never arrived and it would be yet another day. I had asked that since it was going to be another day to go ahead and do an oil change and I was told that would be done. Finally the 3rd day I had to call again and was able to find out that my truck was done, once I arrived I was extremely dissappointed that the oil change hadn't been done. I will never return to this service department, I will go out of my way to avoid ever coming back. Definately a communication breakdown somewhere in this organization. read more

Honestly we went to this dealership because we wanted to get a caravan since we have to infants and we needed more space for our family! Granted we went in to trade in our 2016 Corolla which we owed more then it was worth but thought we could figure something out. We were there for 4 hours and we asked multiple times how many lenders they were running our credit through they said 2 so we thought! All the time there and all they wanted was to get us into another vehicle at a horrible rate! Not sure why we couldn't trade in but we could get a second car? Then after we left we nothing we checked our credit reports and we had 10+ hard inquires??!!! I just can't believe they lied and had us there for that long to try to get us into a bad deal anyway to get us out of there with a vehicle possible! I don't like shark sales guys who just want us to buy something. All this and we went back to the original dealership we purchased from and we were able to trade in get a great rate and got rebates! May I add they didn't run our credit through every lender they had they ran it through only one! read more

I told the staff here (Kyle Walker and the finance manager were two) that I wanted a car to use for my business and they ended up selling me a $3,000 warranty that voids if it's for a business vehicle. They knew my plans the whole time and still pushed this product. My bad for not reading the fine print. Goes to show, you cannot trust the folks at this dealership. It's too late to get any money back but hopefully this saves someone else from my mistake. The salesman (Kyle Walker) also made some pretty inappropriate comments about my living situation. Very bad business practices! Unprofessional in every way. Emily contacted me to buy my card. Told her I didn't want to drive all the way to newberg with my husband if she couldn't give me what I wanted. She said she could get pretty close or she wouldnt have contacted me. Drove all the way there with two cars to be low balled on the offer and no Emily in site! She made up stories and there was a lie in every email. Fake person they made up? What a bunch of crooks. Took my Durango there to have a radiator hose repaired. Left the car overnight and I signed a release for them okaying them for up to $55 for diagnostic. They used the hole half hour to look for other things to repair on the car. I took the car in for radiator hose to be repaired and these crooks pulled the wheels off of the car and told me that I needed to have the brakes replaced. I was also told that there was a crack in the airconditioning line plus I needed new spark plugs and wires.CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS! The jerk even had the audacity to tell me that if I did not get the air conditioning hose repaired that "I would be seeing him later when the weather turns hot". read more

I stopped by to look at a slightly used dodge ram and was ready to buy when a female sales person immediately came out and yelled at me for where I parked then claimed she didn't know how much they were asking for the vehicle and that it had just come in that same day as she was leaving for a test drive in the vehicle with someone hood parked right next to me ....I had seen it there three days prior so I know that was a lie. She then told me I had to move to the back of the store Where the "customer parking" was... I was very reluctant to use their services after reading the four reviews on here, but I am glad I gave them a chance. My own experience was great. I was greeted on the phone with a very pleasant receptionist as she transferred me 6 separate times to the service department before getting to a live person. Kudos there. Ben in service was very polite in setting up my appointment for the next day. I arrived at the dealership the next day at 10 am and was greeted by Ben after his phone call as I waited. As I waited I went into the main entrance and was surprised that the dealership did not have a showroom. Anyway as I waited I was talking to a salesman about my car and was introduced to another salesman Dave. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable person and was just fun to talk to. Overall it was a fine experience re: the people I met while being there. The dealership is a bit dated and needs improvements or a new location which I was told is in the making. read more

The dealership overall was pretty car sales typical. Turns out they had the pickup of my dreams, in perfect condition, in stock, and it was very rare. So I was willing to put up with a little sales tactic garbage due to that. I did however have a very good experience with the salesman I worked with directly. His name is Jerome. He is definitely worth working with if you do end up doing business there. He was nice, professional, and very knowledgeable about the vehicle despite it being rare. All in all, I ended up paying a little over kbb book price, but am happy I got the vehicle none the less. Also, the service department seemed pretty good. I will most likely give them a try regarding my maintenance. read more

Worst experience ever. We hate the car we were pushed into buying but have no way to get out of it. They couldn't and wouldn't get us what they originally promised in the deal. Supposedly did the front brakes but only did the brake pads. Weren't willing to do anything to make us happy at the time of purchase and because I drive a lot for work refuse to do anything about the brakes. This car was the worst decision we ever made and all I want is out of it. Don't ever go here. They will talk you into a horrible deal just to make a sale. One star only because I have to. read more

We have had our Dodge Ram 3500 serviced for many years with Newberg Dodge. It takes a lot of Maintance on a vehicle when you live on a gravel road. We appreciate the support from the service department for all the little things from changing a bulb, the quick turn around of an oil change to the repair of following thru on recalls. I was very happy with my experience at this location. I live in Beaverton and have tried an few other Jeep dealers around town and have had nothing but bad luck. One of them still hasn't called me back. I figured I'd go the extra few miles and check out Newberg Jeep I'm so glad I did. I dealt with Aaron in the service department he was very nice, he called me daily to tell me the progress on my car. Working on my car took a little longer then they expected and were nice enough to give me a discount for the trouble. Made the mistake of going to their website and trying to get an appraisal on my current car, the site said they couldn't appraise the value of the car as it is 'outside their normal trade in market.' The next day I received a call from the manager, Mike. I told him I was just looking, I didn't have much money to buy a car and was just kind of browsing around. He said to come on down at least and take a look and that I might be surprised at what I could afford. So I had time to kill and went down there. We discussed my budget, and I gave him the same number I gave him over the phone, and he became annoyed. Saying that I had already told him that number. (obviously it was too low) they got even more passive aggressive, accusatory, as time went on, and in general acted like I was being an asshole for not wanting to spend enough money, despite telling them I had a very small budget and not really expecting to buy. from the beginning of the whole thing. When I told them at the end of the test drive I was willing to look at the numbers and go home and think about it before I bought anything. They all but kicked me out of the dealership. They never told me what they were offering me for the trade on my car, nor what price they could give me on the car. But before I left they proceeded to inform me that I shouldn't go looking anywhere else, because I probably wont be approved and it will damage my credit score. While that may or may not be true. Ending your sales pitch with a scare tactic is a game killer for me. Never returning there and would highly recommend you shop anywhere else. read more

I came to this dealership because Terry, a service writer, helped me with my old Jeep on two occasions over the years. I can't say enough about his professionalism and customer service. Recently, I stopped in to check out used trucks. I found out that customer service in the sales area is not the same as in the "service" area. They had the truck I wanted, but there were issues...not going to go into detail, but suffice it to say it wasn't until I got to talk to Ben and Terry that we could resolve the issues satisfactorily. The sales department has to catch up to the service department in my estimation. I liked working with Kyle and Jerome, but they do not have the final say...you know how those games are played. Anyway, after some discussion the dealership did the right thing....finally. So the question is: Would I go back? Probably.... because I now know who you can count on. I have to say I got a nice truck at a fair price that suits my needs. read more
