My experience here was just OK. They have a pretty broad menu, which is great. The service wasn't super attentive, in part because nobody was at the counter when we walked in. I will preface this review by saying that I usually avoid Newk's due to some not so favorable experiences at locations in Georgia, but this week I was out voted in the office for lunch, so to the website I went to order for the crowds. Positive thing is, at least Newk's is consistent with their inconsistencies between locations. Location is great for this Newk's. They sit on Cool Springs Boulevard in a small plaza that is connected to the larger Cool Springs plaza. This means that parking is plentiful and never an issue. As mentioned above, we decided to get Newk's for lunch and ordered via the website for an in-store pickup. This process was easy and the time quoted for pickup was spot on. No issues with ordering or pickup. All together we ordered (3) full salads, (2) full sandwiches, a few bowls of soup and a few sides to go with everything. All three full salads featured brown and sad looking lettuce, while the Salmon Caesar was missing the Salmon and the Black and Blue with no onions featured onions...The sandwiches were as expected, but the sides were missing. While we overlooked the sad lettuce and the missing sides, I rang to have them prepare the missing salmon so I could come back and pick up. At no time during the phone call or pickup was there an apology or even acknowledgment of the issue. I was not looking for or expecting anything other than the salmon, but basic customer service would have been nice in the moment. Overall, I gave the second star based off of my coworkers feedback relating to the sandwiches and the one salad that was correct. They enjoyed. However, I think I will fight a little harder during lunch voting in the office next time. And I feel pretty confident stating that I will not be back to this Newk's or really any Newk's in the future as there is only so many chances you can give a brand before you move on. read more

Great soup and sandwich place. I had a very tasty bowl of Corn & Crab Chowder with a Newk Q sandwich. The soup is a cream base but was chunk full of lump crab meat. Awesome flavor!!!! I was pretty excited to have lunch at Newk's. I first tried them while vacationing in North Carolina. Their customer service blew me away and for a fast food restaurant they really deliver on quality. On this visit I ordered an Italian Sandwich with a bag of chips. The sandwich is made with Genoa salami, provolone, capicola, pepperoni, mortadella with pistachios, tomatoes, onions, hot cherry peppers, creole mustard, mayo and Italian sauce. It's the perfect sandwich all the way around. When I was ordering the cashier commented that I had a bag with a couple of newly purchased Nothing Bundt Cakes. I told her the flavors that I picked up and asked her which one she wanted. After I handed over her choice she turned around and paid for my lunch. I was trying to do something nice for her and she turned it around to do something nice for me. I was humbled by her kindness. This restaurant has great food and employs awesome people. read more

My colleague is a huge fan of soups and he always spoke highly about this place. So, today, we all came here for lunch.... finally!!! Let start by saying this, I LOVE IT!!! Pros: large salad portions. Vegetable elements are fresh Cons: add-on chicken tastes like it was boiled with no seasoning, and then left in a refrigerator for a week. Terrible texture and the only flavor I could discern was "freezer burn". The "Greek" salad I ordered came with grape tomatoes (hard and tasteless), artichoke hearts (again, boiled to perfection), feta (must have been low sodium), red onion, chicken (see above), and kalamata olives. Of all those ingredients, the olives were the only thing with a pleasant flavor. The dressing that came with the salad douched everything with oregano and black pepper flavor. Not even a healthy spike of feta from my fridge could save this salad. Conclusion: unless you really love a bland salad with unflattering dressings, I'd suggest a pass. read more

I eat at Newk's pretty regularly during the work week. I LOVE the Newk's Q sandwich, and I usually get that along with soup. It's a step up from other sandwich chains. That said, this place gets super busy both on weekdays and with weekend post-church crowds. There isn't good line/crowd control at the front, and parking fills up fast too. I'd love to see them staff up for rush timing with more personnel at the register, and staff to keep up with turning over dirty tables. You often have to wait for a table while you wait for your food. 4-star food, would have a higher rating if they could keep tables clean and turning over, and maybe even expand to have more seating or organized registers/line direction. A very busy restaurant. Arrived at 1 pm and our order was taken immediately and we had our food in 15 minutes. The restaurant is easy to get to and right across from a Starbucks for a coffee on the drive home. We had the grilled chicken sandwich on a toasted bun; it has bacon and Swiss Cheese- it was delicious! Our side was mac -n- cheese- it was just right! Drinks are self help with large plastic cups. The food is good and fresh. Perfect portions. We both had the half sandwich and half salad. We ate outside and it was clean and ice. I wish i would have gotten the ladies name that came out to the porch to check on everyone. We've been to this location a number of times. It's a great half way point to meet the family for casual celebrations. We're able to get a good variety to meet the various likes of everyone at a reasonable price. We're never had anything but great service and satisfying food. The Newk's Q is a favorite. The salads, soups and pizzas are an overall satisfactory choice. We've even tried the desserts a couple of times and were pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure where they're made but they taste like they're homemade. The selection of desserts does vary by location and days. Give them a try if you're not too full. Overall, great experience.
