Noodles and Company is located on Meridian Boulevard amongst hotels, apartments and a few other eateries and shops in Franklin. If you are unfamiliar with this chain, think Chipotle for pasta, but it is not made in front of you. They have a bit of prepared pastas, but you can also create your own. Noodles and Company is a quick serve spot that serves purpose when the regular rotation of week night dinners runs a bit stale. The location itself needs some TLC as it is worn from ripped and torn seating, cabinet doors falling off of the drink station, stained ceiling tiles and dirty floors. The place needs some conditional love. Cleanliness was decent throughout with the exception of filthy entry windows and doors. Food wise I went with the Pesto Cavatappi and a side of garlic bread to go. Portions could be a bit larger, but that is why I added the garlic cheese bread. Pasta's are priced as is then there is an additional charge for protein. Your average pasta with protein will run you around $12. I enjoyed the pesto pasta and the chicken was lightly breaded and portioned well for the pasta. The garlic bread was a bit soggy and the cheese came off with one bite, and not in the cool "cheese pull" kind of way. Service was "meh". They were on their phones watching videos loudly while customers waited to be noticed at the counter. Overall, Noodles and Company is just okay. Definitely has potential to be added to a quick and easy weeknight dinner rotation, but they need to make a few adjustments. read more

On my first visit, I wasn't sure since I'd ordered the Spicy Korean Beef. It was definitely spicy, but also extremely strong cilantro overpowered the dish. So for my next visit I switched cuisines to Italian flavors, and found that more palatable. The toasted baguette side was excellent and I appreciated the Freestyle drink dispenser. This place isn't my top choice -- it's a chain and as a result lacks the charm, personality, and character that visiting a local place can offer. BUT. My kids were asking for butter noodles. Butter + noodles. And while we were out of town this ended up being the perfect place to get them. I had the pad Thai and I was disappointed with mine. I ordered the leanguini pesto with chicken and pot stickers and it was delicious! They give you a generous amount of noodles. After eating the chicken and broccoli alone I was stuffed. I am very disappointed in my first visit to this Noodles & Company location. I frequent the Green Hills location which is always above and beyond. My husband and I were out shopping in Franklin and stopped here for lunch. Everything about the food was fine but the customer experience and cleanliness of the restaurant was horrible. We were waited on by a gentleman named Geoff who quite frankly seemed to be annoyed we were visiting the location. He did not smile once and rushed us through our order. The restaurant was not overly busy but was steady so I was curious if maybe he was stressed that they were possibly understaffed or about something else but regardless if he is going to be a public facing worker, he should be welcoming, polite, and friendly. He did do a table touch though to ask how our food was but still neglected to smile. Though these are small details, they are important details. The restaurant was dirty. Spilled liquid all over the floor near the drink machine. Very muggy and had kind of a stale scent. The food was perfect. No issues. I tried the Truffled Mac & Cheese for the first time today. The noodles were not fully cooked and my immediate reaction to the portion size was "wow, they didn't fill up the bowl". My first visit (a Tuesday night at 6pm). Order taker greeted me when I walked in and was helpful in going over the menu with me. I ordered the 'Whole Grain Tuscan Linguine", small, with a grilled chicken breast. I don't always go the healthy route, but this item sounded tasty, and the two customers ahead of both ordered it, so I figured "when in Rome..." Despite being 'healthy', the dish had a lot of flavor. The noodles and veggies were NOT overcooked, but had just the right amount of firmness to provide different textures. The grilled chicken had been squeezed completely flat, but still had a touch of good flavor from seasonings. It still tasted fine, especially when cut and mixed with the noodles. I just tend to prefer chicken that tastes and looks more fresh [natural plump?] Overall, the restaurant was clean, the staff friendly and the food good. read more

This place was terrible. We really wanted to eat at Fazolis, however there wasn't one anywhere close. We thought we'd give it a try. My son had the BBQ pork mac, which he thought was pretty good, but not great. My husband and I had the steak stroganoff. I'm not sure what kind of meat it was, but it did not taste like steak. Got Mac n cheese. Was cold. Then found a hair in it. My mom was with me and also had cold Mac n cheese. Wouldn't have even said anything about the hair if it hadn't of been cold. Good potential that just misses in several areas. First, what's good: tasty food:), nice people, clean restaurant in a good location. So..What's your beef? Well, there's not much of it. A "regular " portion comes in at $10 ($13 with a drink), and you get a bowl of noodles with stuff and a fountain drink. I got the beef stroganoff, which was pretty strong on the garlic, but light on the beef and noodles. Yeah, the portions are small. Same for spaghetti and meatballs - Tastes good for a chain, but kind of skimpy on the portions. The zucchini noodles look interesting, but I left still hungry for lunch. This was our first time at a Noodles and company- and we loved the concept and the food! However the service here was terrible. It was the end of the night, so I understand that workers are tired, but they were hours away from closing time. The workers were rude, and annoyed that I had never been there before when I admitted this and asked for help with the menu. The two ladies that served me were really rude. There was one manager there that showed us kindness when he noticed this. They were 100% out of all soft drinks. They refused to let us use real silverware (which was sitting clean behind them on the counter) they were out of several types of noodles, they were out of potstickers, and the bathrooms were completely our of toilet paper - paper towels, and very dirty. I was not impressed and will be seeking other locations next time I'm craving some noodles. read more

We came here in Halloween night. We had a kids eat free coupon. So my husband and I both got entrees and our kids are free:) It was completely dead inside. But the staff was still kind, cheery and helpful! I like noodles, I usually get the same things... but I tried the bacon Mac and cheeseburger. It was good. Not my favorite. But I think the "burger" in the title was misleading. I had to add that for a separate charge. It had noodles, cheese, bacon and tomato. No beef. I chose to pay for steak in mine. They have so many different dishes with a variety of different flavors so no matter what kind of food you are in the mood for, you can pretty much find that flavor of noodle (or a noodle inspired version of that dish) on the menu!
