Went back to Newk's with BF, having told him about the pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. The menu is really well-rounded! I can't wait to go back and try the Salmon Caesar! Heads up if you have coupons: You can only use one per visit, not per person, and actually can't use them at all right now. They're "not in the system." We had the Newk's Q, the cheesesteak, and pepperoni pizza on the cauliflower crust. BF loved everything! The cheesesteak is different from the usual. The caramelized onions add a sweetness, and the pimento cheese, too. The steak was actual sliced steak, not shaved. And the French bread is yummy! The sides are VERY tiny, as you can see. There's an upcharge for the fruit salad. The pasta salad was good, but dry. Needed a little more dressing. We were a little surprised by the tiny sides. Chips are also an option. The fruit was fresh and very good. The pizza was crispy and cheesy. A perfect small pizza with minimal pepperoni and tiny diced tomato, with a couple of shreds of basil. Portions aren't huge, but we didn't leave hungry. I took half my sandwich home. The sandwiches are a good size, if not stuffed with filling. The soups look really good. And the salads that I tried during the Elite event were awesome. The desserts look really tempting, but BF was craving ice cream. I had a business lunch here today and was very satisfied with my experience. This is the only Colorado location. It's located in a strip mall. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. I was impressed with the amount of seating. Restaurant is clean as well. I ordered the Black & Bleau salad. It's served with medium-rare tenderloin steak, mixed greens, bleu cheese (not imitation), pecans, grape tomatoes, red onion and tossed with creamy bleu cheese dressing. Salad was excellent! I would definitely order it again. For fountain drinks, they offer one size and it's a large plastic cup. The sodas are Coca-Cola products. They also have sweetened and unsweetened iced teas. I was impressed to see Stevia used as a sweetener for one of their sweetened iced teas. I was impressed with the overall variety of their menu. Service was good. The staff member who took our order and the server who delivered our food were professional. After you order and pay for your food, they provide you with a number to place on your table. I also like how they have a separate table with plenty of napkins (not the cheap type), mini bread sticks, crackers for soup, and various condiments. This table is located next to the beverage area. Make sure you visit the table. I love the setup. It didn't look cheap. It had a nice elegant look to it. Last bit not least, I noticed they're offering Coconut Cake for dessert. Being that this is a Southern based company, the cake must be delicious. I will try it next time. They also offer a good sized Rice Crispy treat, Peanut Butter Crispy treat, Brownie, Strawberry Cake, Caramel Cake and Chocolate Cake. They're all baked by Newk's. I recommend visiting this place! Good food in the suburbs. I was here for an event last year and visited their since closed location in Arvada several times. Their 10 inch pizza's are just the right size for 1 person. I got the Supreme with pepperoni, sausage, red & orange peppers, tomato sauce and not much cheese. I added a full size Greek salad with a glass of Dark Horse red blend wine. The salad was served in a large bowl with plenty of black olives, artichoke hearts, feta cheese and romaine. I chose the Greek dressing. The wine was a good wine to go with pizza. Just enough body and flavor to not overpower the food. You order at the counter, get a nunber tag and the staff delivers your food. I got my wine when I placed my order. Very light music was playing inside and everything was clean. I spoke with the owner and Newk's will be opening locations in Greeley & Ft. Collins this year. read more

I'm sure COVID has something to do with this. Pre COVID we have gone and had great food. This was...blah. I ordered the Newk's Q and a side of Lobster and Crab Bisque. Hubby got the Cesar chicken salad. You order at the counter. I normally don't mind that but there wasn't a soul there. Waited for awhile and then a young woman came to the counter. She seemed confused, tentative and frazzled. Not good training on management's part. Not her fault. We ordered our food, but she wasn't old enough to ring up the wine and beer we ordered. Had to wait some more until someone of legal age could ring up the alcohol. Again, not her fault. Food is delivered to your table. My Newk's Q was burnt and dry but edible. Hubby's Cesar was seriously underdressed. I honestly don't think there was ANY dressing on the salad. He had to ask for more. It's not near home for me, so I don't get to eat here often unless I am in the area or make a special trip, which is why it is reaaaalllly frustrating that they never get my food right. But every time, I get home with my order, it isn't correct. The ticket on the bag matches how I placed my order, but seemingly what I see on the app and on the ticket attached to the bag isn't what the kitchen is getting or for some reason it is not understood. **Their food is great. Great quality and taste. The ordering process is great.** The handling of the order and making it is NOT. Pretty big problem if you have all these great elements but can't put the food together right and don't have a better system of someone else checking the order before bagging it. These were issues I saw before Covid - but now more than ever, the to-go process has to be better than this. If you are going to order from here - CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PARKING LOT. First, they have a large selection of various options for all types of cravings. I appreciate that in a restaurant. I immediately noticed the Mac n Cheese with the bacon and my friend ordered a personal pizza. First of all, OMGGGG it was so good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the cheese was not overbearing, and it had the right amount of bacon. One of the creamiest Mac N Cheese I've had in a long time. Newk's is a very solid fast/casual restaurant in the Lone Tree area. I have been here a few times now and tried a bunch of different things on the menu. Margherita pizza: this was honestly pretty good, and I didn't realize it had a cauliflower crust until the aftertaste. It's a very convincing substitution. Chicken caesar salad: very standard chicken caesar, but the chicken itself tasted pretty good. Chicken salad sandwich: pretty strong sandwich, I think it's one of the better chicken salads I have had in a while. Would definitely order it again. Newk's Q sandwich: probably my favorite item on the menu. The sandwich is super flavorful and a great blend of flavors, and the bread it's served on is quality. Newk's cheesesteak: this is probably the weakest item I have tried so far. It's not bad, but I would rather go to a cheesesteak place if I wanted a cheesesteak. Overall though, Newk's is a very good choice for a casual lunch with a variety of different options for different people in your group. Would definitely visit again! read more

I tried Newk's for the first time recently and it reminded me of places my family used to frequent growing up. I tried the Margherita pizza with cauliflower crust and was pleasantly surprised! I don't normally seek out gluten free options but this was pretty good! I also tried a few sandwiches including the chicken salad, white bbq "Newk's Q", and turkey. The standout sandwich was the white bbq "Newk's Q" which had chicken, onions, and a unique tangy white bbq sauce. Yummy! Seems like they really put in effort to make quality food. The staff explained that they marinate and prepare all of their chicken in house and you could tell! You'd probably expect dry chicken from a large chain restaurant but the chicken at Newk's was thinly sliced and juicy. The chicken came on the Caesar salad and chicken sandwiches and it made the Caesar salad way better than others I've had at similar restaurants. They also use special bread for sandwiches that's made in New York and only sold to Newk's. I enjoyed the whole wheat molasses bread! The staff were also very friendly and helpful during my whole meal. Overall, I think Newk's would be great for a family looking for an easy meal. There's something for everyone, portions are decent, and the food is tasty. It would also work well for groups. Stopped in for a fresh salad after a 6 mile hike and Newk's did not disappoint! Our order was taken swiftly at the counter and delivered in a timely manner! My favorite part about this whole place is the sautéed garlic they leave out for guests to grab. I put so much on my salad it was amazing! The little free breadsticks//croutons were so yummy too. Friday: the day to treat yo'self for lunch - am I right? After hearing the buzz on this local joint and realizing how close it was to home, the hubs and I decided lunch was in order. The sweet girl at the register gave us the run-down of the establishment (think Panera, but BETTER), offered plenty of time to choose our meals, provided us with our drink of choice (wine!) and gave us the number for our food to be delivered to us!  STAR #3 = Drink selections are on point! Soda, tea,  beer and wine are offered at just $5 a bottle/glass! That's better than most happy hours in the area! I opted for a crisp white pinot to accompany my meal, while my guests ordered a beer and chardonnay. The pours were large and the price was right! STAR #4 = Yummy eats! While the menu is a little daunting (only because it's so massive), everything looks and smells delicious. I opted for a 1/2 chicken salad sandwich (which was served on the most delicious wheat bread and a zing of mustard) and a 1/2 Caesar salad, both of which were large in size! My mother in law ordered a personal pizza which was full of toppings on the most perfectly crisp crust. Needing a warm up on the cold day, my husband ordered a bowl of the broccoli cheddar soup, which was creamy and delicious! Best part - the island of crackers, breadsticks, dressings, pickles, peppers, and to-go boxes situated in the middle of the restaurant - making it accessible to anyone needing anything additional. You can also order online for pick up or simply hit the grab-n-go area for premade items! STAR #5 = All breads and desserts are made in house - and available for purchase near the grab-n-go section! First time here and I have to say, Newk's isn't great, but they're certainly well above average. Here's the rundown: 1. The place is very clean, which is always a huge deal when it comes to restaurants. 2. Staff was friendly and courteous. 3. They have an open kitchen so you can see what's going on "behind the scenes". It appears they are running an efficient operation and my food came out fast, tasted fresh and delicious and the serving size was satisfying. 4. They're a little pricey for a sandwich/soup/salad joint. I ordered a Turkey Avocado sandwich with Baked Lay's and drink. Total set me back about $14.50. 5. Presentation and quality control needs a little work. My sandwich had one slice of turkey on one side and no Avocado. However, the other side was loaded with both. It almost seems like they were making a half sandwich and then noticed it was supposed to be whole. Not sure, but, for $14.50 I shouldn't have to rebuild my sandwich once it has been served. Overall, I'd say Newk's is a good spot to have an occasional meal. At nearly $15 for a lunch, there are other options nearby that won't cost as much if you're looking for a regular place to grab some grub on a lunch break. I just recently did a delivery order with DoorDash for this place and it was awesome! The service was speedy from the moment it was ordered. I had it delivered to my work. My coworker and I split the spicy shrimp pizza which was phenomenal! I had never tried a shrimp pizza before and it was totally worth it. I also ordered the mac n' cheese, coleslaw, and loaded potato soup. I wasn't the biggest fan of the mac n' cheese because I thought it could have had more flavor. The coleslaw and loaded potato soup were great though. I loved both of them, especially the soup! This place is cute and I had no idea it existed until I went on DoorDash.
