Newks can be amazing, but honestly it's about 50/50. All the locations we've been to outside of Mobile are amazing, with good portion sizes and fresh ingredients. Too many times though we've paid $9 for a sandwich that is wrong or has wilted ingredients on it. The prices are a little high for just a sandwich, and they don't put that much meat on them either. Their side items are really small too for the price. I've ordered fruit cups several times only to find a couple grapes and a piece of honeydew melon. For $2 something, that's a bit much. I think the Mobile locations could really turn around if they just worked on consistency and maybe their staff. They really could have the potential to be really good! read more

A good place for lunch. Newk's never disappoints. I got the 1/2 Newk Q Sandwich and lobster bisque. The sandwich comes with sliced chicken, bacon, swiss, and white bbq sauce, on a perfectly fresh French roll. The bisque had great lobster flavor and was perfect on a cold day, but I don't believe it contained any lobster. My bowl didn't anyway. Still a great soup. I'll be back! read more

When I confessed to some friends that I had never eaten at Newk's they gasped and looked at me as if I had stolen the Hope Diamond while pushing and old lady into oncoming traffic! LOL I knew right then that I had to try it! So much on the menu it was hard to choose. I decided on the Shrimp and Avocado salad with Shrimp Remoulade dressing... OMG.... I could kick myself for missing out on this fresh yummy goodness for all this time! Let me start off by saying Newks is absolutely one of my favorite sandwich, pizza places around. I just feel like they don't get the recognition that they deserve, because believe me when I say you will not be dissatisfied with anything you choose from their menu. They even have such a great childs menu, which is a big problem at some of these little cafes and restaurants! LOVE THEM! read more

Delicious, fresh, simple. This location is always clean and staffed with friendly faces. Newk's is your standard deli eatery, with creative menu offerings. The food tastes fresh and makes for the perfect light, healthy lunch, making it the perfect quick office get-a-way. My first trip here, I had the Newk's Turkey Club paired with Broccoli Cheese soup. It was excellent! Today, I am feasting on the Turkey Avocado Sandwhich and Loaded Potato Soup. Yet again, I am 100% satisfied with my meal. Overall, absolutely no complaints! read more

They don't have Newk's where I'm from. I liked it and went back the next day. Newk's Q and the Boss Q were great. Loaded potato soup was really good . I like this place as an alternative to Panera . Better tasting and more selections read more

I've been here a few times the food is very good an always fresh an the people,the staff that work here are very friendly.Theres only one problem , I stay in New Orleans an we don't have one. I go to the one in Gulfport but its not as good as this one.Its still is good but i prefer the one in Mobile read more

My friend ordered a loaded potato soup and clearly asked for no bacon. When we got home, we checked and there was bacon anyway. If there's no way to take out the bacon, then please say something instead. :) read more

I had to take my husband to the airport so we stopped in for lunch. This i s the new store by Academy and UJ Chevrolet. The service was quicker than the McGregor store and we ordered the usuals...Mediterranean Pizza for him and Black & Bleu salad for me. The pizza was very good..lots of toppings and those delicious Kalamata olives. My salad was big and full of fresh ingredients. My only negative was the dressing...It was bland...very bland. Bleu cheese dressing needs to have a "bite" and this barely had a mayo flavor. No crumbles either. The sirloin was cooked perfectly and generous. Tweak that dressing and you've got a winner! I'll be back for sure.. read more

At 6:30 no pizza came, despite my receipt showing a delivery charge of $6+ plus a $5 dollar tip. When I called to ask when it would be arriving, I was told they do not deliver. To which I replied, I paid for delivery and ordered the pizza from your website. At this point my pizza was sitting there for 30 minutes. Apparently they third party their deliveries. The website should state this fact. If I pay a company, in this case godfathers pizza, they are responsible for the delivery unless otherwise stated in an obvious way. We went round and round and the only way for me to get my pizza, was to drive there myself which defeated the whole point of ordering a pizza to be delivered. The young lady on the phone grunted uhhuh instead of yes or no. I finally had to tell her to use actual words as her grunts were not coming across clearly. What a disaster. I drove over and at this point my pizza was sitting for 45 minutes. If you third party out delivery, and no one shows up to pick it up, why would you not be calling someone, anyone or the customer or anything. When I arrived, three people standing around doing absolutely nothing, I told them I was here to pick up my pizza and I want to talk to a manager. James came out and asked how he could help? I would have thought he would have already known what was going on by this point. He was calm and friendly. I told him I would like to have the delivery fees and tip removed from my check. He offered a fresh pie of I was willing to wait but, I was not as I was ready to eat at 6:00 and it was nearly 7:00. I told him it had been decades since my last visit to godfathers pizza. It will likely be decades before I return. I will not be back here. He ended up removing the entire charge from my credit card. For corporate Godfathers pizza. If you are not going to actually deliver pizza, remove it from your website or have customers order through door dash or grub hub or some other delivery website. At the very least, this is dishonest marketing. Shameful. Your marketing tactics cost this franchisee business owner a bad review and a customer forever.

But this was the first time I was picking up for myself. I got the pizza home and took this single photo, and it was pretty darn good! The extra cheese was the icing on the cake! The crust was perfectly browned and crispy, the pepperoni was seasoned well, but not overly spicy. I will definitely be trying other items on their menu soon!

The person at the counter gave me updates on the progress. While waiting I noticed one person sitting down. I grabbed a Lagniappe and started flipping through the pages. As I stated earlier the wait wasn't long at all. When I got in the car with my pizza I could smell all ingredients I named before. I was starving. When I took a bite of my first slice I realized I made a great decision. The pizza was hot and though the pizza was full of toppings they didn't immediately fall off the slice when I bit into it. They eventually do as does with all great pizza but the cheese did a great job of sticking together. I loved all the toppings but for some reason the onions tasted the best out of all the vegetable toppings. I was not sure why the onions stood out but they did.
