This is great fresh fare. It is comparable to Panera bread but slightly better. I had the greek salad with salmon and my wife got the come back shrimp salad. Stopped in on our way home to TN. We don't have a Newk's close where we live so this was a treat. This one was quite a happening spot but the service was still quick. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the chicken salad sandwich. Both were delicious! My husband ordered the chicken tortilla soup and the chicken bacon club. He said he enjoyed it immensely and will definitely get it again! My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because all of the tea was so weak. It's like come on guys, the cheapest thing on the menu and you can't make it correctly?! If I hadn't put lemon in my cup it would have tasted like water. 7:30 this evening; I watched the 'manager' as he walked the floor, pickup a few items of trash on the floor and then took the container of pickles from the round table of condiments to the Kitchen counter. It's similar to Panera, but better (in my opinion). We were a party of 6. We came in and ordered at the kiosk. Everyone ordered a different combo, 3 of us did choose Mac n cheese as the 2nd item. Took our number and found a table. It was clean and they did keep up on clearing tables as people left. Back to the mac n cheese. It was served hot, had a nice crust on the top and was actually cheesey! 3 of us also ordered a half sandwich as the 1st item, all different. They were fresh and delicious! My husband ordered a pizza and it was definitely enough for at least 2 people! Definitely recommend trying them out! read more

We like this location in the Asbury Park shopping area. On this Sunday afternoon, my husband and I ordered the spicy chicken pizza. It's no longer on the menu but you can still order it. We prefer it over the spicy shrimp. It was delicious and had the right amount of spicy kick to it. If you're looking for a traditional pizza, this is not it. The crust is cracker thin with a good crunch and plenty flavorful. There is indoor and outdoor dining with covered umbrellas. The restrooms were and are always clean. The tea and sodas are DIY, along with the condiments. The staff is always friendly. We especially like Newk's because of the support it provides to cancer thrivers (like me). read more

I know this is the slowest Newk''s in the state once waiting 40 minutes for a sandwich at lunch .There were two people ordering in front of me . When it was my turn I asked the young lady " I have to be somewhere in 20 minutes , I am just ordering a veggie sandwich, will it be ready ?" Her response " I don't know " so you can't tell me what the wait time is on a veggie sandwich " I don't know " . She was by herself and the line was growing . I said never mind I'll order from Jimmy John's . The newks in PTC my order is out in 10 minutes, and I never have a problem.
