I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. Something I was so scared of and postponed for 5 years turned into such a smooth and positive experience. Thank you to everyone

When we visited their office in person to make an appointment, we had to wait 8 weeks to see a doctor. When that time came, InSite scheduled a colonoscopy to be performed. They did this shortly afterwards, and my wife experienced heavy bleeding a day later. As my wife's condition became much worse, I had to take her to the emergency room at the hospital. The hospital found she had an infection in her colon, and advised it was probably caused when InSite did the colonoscopy. When I tried to make a follow up appointment at InSite, I tried calling their office. They wouldn't even answer their phone! After becoming irritated trying several more times, I decided to drive the 7 miles to their office to see what their problem was. Upon entering, I see two employees working at the front desk. One was doing paperwork, and the other was just sitting there staring into space doing nothing. I did manage to make an appointment, although it was another 2 weeks away. The story gets even worse from this point; but, I'm not going to make this review even longer by going into specific details. The care my wife received at this Insite office was unacceptable. The amount of blood my wife lost from the internal infection almost caused her to die in the hospital. Insite didn't seem to care enough to give her timely follow up care. Bottom line is this: Do yourself a favor and find another better qualified provider.

I saw Dr. Youn about five years ago and had an incredibly negative experience. Now that I have…read morereceived the care I needed from a more caring doctor, I feel it is important to share my experience with Dr. Youn so others can make an informed decision before seeing him. I scheduled my visit to discuss complications following a surgery in another state. Upon meeting Dr. Youn and telling him about this issue, I had my medical records in hand, which he refused to review. When I asked questions about how I can rectify my issue, he claimed he couldn't provide answers because he didn't know my medical history. If a doctor doesn't take the time to review records when offered, how can they provide adequate care? Beyond the lack of professionalism, his bedside manner was shockingly cold. I was met with dismissiveness and impatience, as if my concerns were an inconvenience. The entire interaction was incredibly rushed, with Dr. Youn giving a quick exam and giving little answers, seeming eager to leave the room before I even had time to ask questions and get dressed. Adding to the frustration, there was no patient portal or direct way to communicate with the doctor outside of limited phone hours, which is highly unusual for a medical practice. It's possible that this has changed over the past few years. Shortly after posting my review on Yelp and writing a letter to Dr. Youn, I received a call from him. He did not apologize for his behavior, but he did spend thirty minutes speaking with me. He asked me to read some information to him from my medical history (something he refused to review when I saw him in person), and he gave some insight. I found it convenient for him that he gave me the care I needed after sending him a contentious letter and publishing a public review, rather than providing the care I needed when seeing him for an appointment. So why am I deciding to publish this review now? Accountability is important. Seeing that others have had similar experiences, it is clear that Dr. Youn's aloof behavior has not gone unnoticed. I encourage him to make a significant adjustment.

5 Stars for Dr. Youn 1 star for his admin…read more I'm writing as a family member who picked n took him home from the clinic. I HATE waiting when he's ready to be picked up. Half an hour was counted after he sent me a pls pick me up text. He sent it after Dr. Youn's review, changing clothes, etc. I hope people in the clinic know waiting is not just waiting. I was thinking bad result and failed procedure (happens I hear). It's like I love my Dr, but I don't appreciate her calling me directly after running my tests. I now have a second thought after this experience and bad Yelp reviews, knowing there are other good Drs. FYI~~~ There were all kinds of refreshments in the waiting room (not for patients I assume), and I tried to indulge myself with H2O, ended up with carbonated kind. Dr. Youn performs Colonoscopy on Thursday only, not for just one patient.
