Mitch has helped me to move 3 times since 2016. We met him when our realtor referred us to him when my senior citizen mother and I moved into our home. He was really wonderful with her, even helping her up the stairs and assisting with getting her settled while the move started. We rescheduled our move with Newman Moving just a day after our original moving date, keeping us on track for our move-out. I used Newman Moving Services last month for a pretty straightforward 1 bedroom apartment move - from upstairs to downstairs. They knocked it out in a little over an hour. They were on time, efficient and very careful with the furniture and other items they moved. There was a 3 hour minimum to be paid, but it was worth it to not have to ask family or friends to move furniture from a second floor unit. My realtor encouraged me to get a quote for moving from Newman Moving Services in Monrovia. I spoke to Mitch the owner about my move from the Inland Empire (IE) to San Clemente. He was very friendly, asked me numerous detailed questions about the move and told me his approach and explained how his 4-man crew could efficiently move all my belongings in a much shorter time than a 2- or 3-man crew, resulting in dollars saved. After sleeping on it I called Mitch back and scheduled a moving date. Mitch seemed very knowledgeable and gave me a sense of trust and care that I had not felt the other movers I spoke with. A few days before the move I had an escrow issue that triggered a red flag requiring me to delay the move. I talked to Mitch and he was able to rearrange his schedule to move me 3 days later. Up until move day, Mitch regularly checked in to check my progress on packing and to give me advice on how to be ready when the truck arrives. The truck arrived and we were immediately given a warm greeting by Mitch and introductions to his crew. It did not take long to see these guys really knew what they were doing, working fast and organized, each member knew what order to load boxes, furniture and quickly brought items to the back of the truck when one crew member carefully organized then densely loaded the truck leaving little airspace to maximize the available volume. I was impressed that Mitch the owner was not just supervising, he was working side by side along with his crew. It was truly poetry in motion as I observed them loading. They were a well-oiled machine moving in unison with a clear understanding of what each member's function was. It was clear these guys took pride in what they were doing, it was also clear there was friendship and respect for each other that carried beyond a day at work. It was almost as if Seal Team Six had showed up for the mission. Well maybe not, but I will definitely use Newman Services for my next move and highly recommend them. The movers from Newman Moving Services showed up on time to pack up our house for our move. They were so professional and polite! Each mover came up to me, introduced himself, and shook my hand. They communicated everything that was going on, and asked questions if they weren't sure about something. Mitch and his crew were incredible, attentive, and handled our furniture-intensive job in an affordable amount of time. They were gentle with all of our fragile items and treated everything like it was their own. They moved our two enormous flat screen TVs and all of our furniture (for an overly furnished 1 br apt) in about 6 hours. They took apart our bed frame and put it back together where we wanted it. Mitch even took the time out of his day before we committed to using his service to run us through how to pack to be "mover ready" in an effort to make sure we maximized what we were getting out of his services. When he saw we had enough to cover the total cost but not a tip, he agreed to a slightly reduced overall rate to ensure his guys would be tipped appropriately with the cash we had.
