We found evidence of dry wood termites working on our garage frame around the door opening. I was looking for a company that can inspect, treat and repair the damaged wood. Went to yelp my usual go to find a quality service and came across Fowler Pest. Contacted thier call center and arranged for an inspection/estimate within a week. Mike came out and we discussed my termite situation and came up with a reasonable estimate. Due to prior commitments and real estate inspections it was about two weeks out for my work. Which was fine. Guys arrived on time. Set to work removing the wood. Treated the area and installed the new wood. The best part is unbeknownst to me they came by the day before and got a sample of the paint. So the new boards were pre primed and then painted to match my house paint. They even sealed and caulked all the edges. All part of the deal! The paint and sealing saved me a bunch of work. The guys worked clean and fast. I highly recommend Fowlers Pest Control. read more

After getting 3 quotes for termite fumigation, we decided to go with Fowler. They were $400 more expensive than the other two quotes, but our preference was to go with someone local and we also had a better initial experience with them. Everything leading up to the fumigation went well until we were scheduled to return to our house. FYI, they subcontract for tenting, so we ended up having to deal with both Fowler and the subcontractor (Andy, the owner of "The Fume Company" ). The first issue is that we were never given a confirmed time to return home. Chuck at Fowler said that we should be able to get back by noon, but I wanted to double check so I reached out to Andy the night before the fumigation should have been done and he said that his team would be at our house first thing in the morning and we could be back in at 8am. That morning, before we were about to leave our Airbnb, we checked our Blink cameras and the tent was still up at 11:20. We called Andy to ask what the deal was and he said his crew couldn't remove the tent because it was wet and they would be going there ASAP to remove it. He said that his supervisor didn't notify him about the delay which is why he didn't call us.  The second issue is that we had to keep going back and forth between Chuck and Andy to get updates or confirmation on when we could actually return to our house. At the end of the day, I paid for a service to Fowler, they should be responsible for everything relating to that service, including anything outsourced to a subcontractor. The third, and biggest issue, is that once we were finally able to return to our house (after the time both companies promised we would be able to return), they had left falsified clearance documents at our house. Andy's company had posted a notice on our door that it was cleared to re-enter at 12:40 when we had videos of his crew still taking fumigant readings up until 12:58. Do I think we're all going to drop dead because of it - No. But I have a huge issue with the fact that since they were under a time crunch to be out of the house by 1pm (which was the new promised time we could return home), they decided to cut corners. If they were okay with putting false information on legally required documents, what confidence should I have that they thoroughly checked my home before I reentered it less than an hour later with my entire family and 1 year old baby?  After bringing up these issues to Chuck at Fowler, he first had me confront Andy about it. Again, not my problem, I was paying Fowler for this service so that should have been Chuck's job. Plus all I got was excuses from both of them on why they lied on the documentation ("the supervisor was lazy,"  he must have filled out the form before checking," etc) but both acknowledged that it was done inaccurate intentionally. At the end of the day, I got an apology from both of them. That's it.  So unfortunately I wouldn't recommend Fowler, especially for termite fumigation if they are still using The Fume Company as their subcontractor. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Fowler Pest Control. My tenant called them out for a severe mouse problem under the house. The technician sold them a monthly plan for $350, but all they did was set two small mousetraps and leave. This was clearly not enough for the problem at hand. My tenant could've done that themselves! When they expressed dissatisfaction and canceled the service, the company still demanded the full monthly fee. Very unprofessional and unhelpful. Glen Fowler and his team did an outstanding job on repairing the extensive wood rot on our home. Full replacement of headers, beams, and joists were required. The team was professional and caring of our property and worked diligently to get the job done right. They worked cohesively in parallel with other construction teams doing different repairs of our money pit. This repair was part of a permitted job and they passed inspection at every turn. I am an out of the area Realtor that listed a Murrieta home requiring an honest termite inspector for the elderly owner. As such, I took a chance and hired a local company with good reviews. Chuck was outstanding from the start and did a thorough inspection. He found dryrot on the huge wood patio shade cover as the primary issue as it was not maintained well via proper Painting and staining protection over the years. I would say these are very dishonest people who came to do inspection. There were nothing wrong with the wood, but they wrote it as rotted to repair. We were selling our house and were pressed on time to get a Termite Inspection.  The first company we hired did not find anything.  However our home inspector found one spot and we hired Fowler Pest Control to give a second opinion.  The inspector arrived, looked at the whole house and allegedly found "many areas" outside the house that needed to be repaired.  He claimed that even though he found no termites inside our home, we STILL had to get a tent and quoted us an outrageous price of $4100 (!!), fully aware that we were in a time bind and HAD to get a clean report.  Thankfully our buyer's agent, out of all people, said their quote sounded outrageous and referred us to a third company, who only found minimal termites (similar to the first guys we hired), and quoted us repairs costing about $1100 and no tent.  These people take advantage of people and honesty is definitely NOT be one of their strengths.  He tried many high pressure sales techniques on us to get us to sign the quote quickly without having a chance to shop around.  We did not.  Our agent also specifically instructed the inspector that we would be paying them via check and not out of escrow, but when he was notified that we went with another termite company, he tried to screw our buyers and notified their escrow company.  Thankfully he wasn't able to screw them over after all and both home sales closed on time.  LOOK AT THEIR GOOGLE REVIEWS!! For several years we had a bi-monthly contract with Fowler Pest Control to treat for ants with a guarantee. In June 2017 Fowler treated our property and two days later we were invaded with ants. Despite several phone calls Fowler ignored us and did not come out to retreat. We refused to pay the invoice because they did unsatisfactory work and did not honor their warranty. Fowler had the nerve to send the $85.00 account for collection. We are senior citizens and have lived our lives believing services are paid for when work is performed satisfactorily. Fowler NEVER even had the courtesy to telephone us. Very unethical way of conducting business. We would not recommend this company. read more

I contacted Fowler Pest Control and spoke to Mike, the owner regarding a pigeon problem that we were having. He was very kind and professional. He even gave me free advice on how my husband could take care of the problem himself to save us money. However, since my husband is in the military I had to tell him that we really need someone to take care of the pigeons for us since my husband is gone a lot. Mike quickly reassured me that he could help us out, and he sent a technician out to us the next day. Randy, the technician was very knowledgeable and installed spikes and sealed the nesting area so the pigeons couldn't return. Since then we haven't had any more pigeon problems.
