If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I hired them for a deep cleaning service before a cross-country move, trusting they would deliver quality work while I was out of state. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. What they called a "deep clean" was something I could have done myself in under an hour. Many surfaces were untouched--there were still visible smudges, dirty corners, and watermarks left behind. I contacted the company to express my concerns and was denied a refund or credit. Instead, they offered a reclean. Since my home was full of moving boxes, I couldn't schedule one immediately, and they told me to call back when I was ready. After settling in and unpacking--which took about two weeks due to starting a new job and caring for small children--I reached back out. It took them 10 days to respond, only for them to tell me it was too late and I'd now have to pay for a reclean. At no point was I told there was a deadline to schedule the follow-up. We called and scheduled to have their cleaning service. Based on the conversation on the phone at the time of scheduling, we were told the house would need 2-2.5 hours with two women. One woman showed up and after asking where the second worker was, we were informed that she was having lunch in the car. They informed us that one person does the vacuuming / dusting and the other does the kitchen / bathrooms. It took them 1 hour to clean 1 bathroom with hair still remaining on the floor. When asked why it was taking so long, they replied "the bathroom was dirty". We live in a home where the house is cleaned every weekend. The areas requested for dusting still had dust even after they indicated the room was completed. The corners and edges of the rooms vacuumed still have crumbs. The corners in the bathroom was not cleaned and there was still dust. While using the industrial vaccum, they hit and damaged the footboard of the bed in multiple areas. When requested or instructed of areas where they missed, Irma would get on her phone and make a "phone call to the company". This happened at least 3 times. Instead of cleaning she'd be on the phone not knowing if she was on a personal call or a call with "the company". We reached out to the company while this was happening to address our concern of the lack in quality of the service and we were informed that the person in charge would return our call. Out of the two workers, Ana did have better work ethic and took her job more seriously and cleaned better. The lack of professionalism and the low quality of job done was very disappointing and we would not recommend their service. read more

They tried charging me an extra 30 minutes because their maid arrived earlier than I was told and yelled at me on the phone when I was trying to understand the miscommunication. (They let us know that they have recordings of our conversations, as a threat). First, I want to say that the cleaning staff are friendly and have always done a good job cleaning. The issues we have experienced are with the management. We used Next Day Cleaning for a few years. When we first used Next Day Cleaning there was miscommunication about their rates being based on person hours instead of actual hours. We also had issues about not being able to actually get cleaners the next day. The latest issue we experienced was regarding pricing. When we called we spoke with somebody about a coupon we saw for $169. The person agreed that we could get our house cleaned for that price. However, after the work was done, we were quoted a different price of $240. We called and spoke with the same person who agreed on the coupon price and he claimed he never agreed to that price. We also talked to the manager who stated several times that there was no $169 coupon price. We had no issue paying the different. Our frustration was that there was clearly a pricing miscommunication on Next Day Cleaning's part and the manager offered no apologies. If there was no $169 coupon, then the person taking customers' calls should have known this and communicated this to us. Also, the manager should have at least looked into the issue and offered an explanation instead of seemly blaming us for the miscommunication. Because of these issues, we are unlikely to recommend or use Next Day Cleaning in the future. read more

I asked for deep clean to put my house out for sale and they did a light wipe down of everywhere, leaving all residue, nothing was cleaned correctly. I can still see dust, stains, watermarks in bathroom, kitchen, appliances. They didn't bother to clean out the lightings(spider webs/dust). I can see the vacuum marks but nothing was vacuumed. The closet with the washer and dryer was free of all lint including the awkward to reach spots. The balcony area, which I wasn't expecting them to clean, was completely scrubbed down. It smelled strongly of lemon, which impressed the landlord during our move out inspection. I deducted 1 star because I paid $40 more than the higher end of the original estimate. I let it slide because they cleaned for longer than they were expecting and I was willing to pay for the extra time they put in. We had Next Day come clean after not having had cleaners for over 3 years. We tried to get the house ready, and were quoted an estimate of 2.5 hours for a 2 person team - depending on the house condition. It took the team closer to twice that, but it was well worth it. Our floors are now sticker and marker free, which hasn't happened in a long time, and considering they got most of the one area where someone drew on the hardwood with permanent marker, I was impressed. The old-fashioned chandeliers that are original to the house are sparkling again, and they even cleaned the dust off the vent covers. They have made it easy for us to try to maintain the clean, and we will be setting up regular service. They even neatly arranged our tween's room so the bed is no longer surrounded by stuff and impressed our youngest with how neatly the stuffies were arranged. I requesed a move-in/move-out cleaning service. The service was awful, mostly because one of the cleaners refused to clean, was sassy, and would talk back when I merely asked her to clean an area. For example, one retort was "maybe you need to hire a professional." I don't think I could have been any more kind and polite in requesting that the property be cleaned. The sassy cleaner called her manager and said she doesn't feel comfortable and has to leave. It took me a while to realize the economics, which is that the base cleaning was for 2 people for 2 hours each. At 1 hour and 20 minutes they told me they were done. I believe at that point, I would owe for 2 hours each. I didn't notice that it was not 2 hours at that point, and I said I'm willing to pay for 3 hours each. Now that I think about it, why would they want to actually work for 3 hours and get paid for 3 hours when they could work for 1 hour and 20 minutes and get paid for 2 hours. I was cleaning the washing machine myself as they were trying to get by me and exit through the front door. I feel that if I'm willing to pay for time for a cleaner and a cleaner is there, then why do they argue about cleaning. There were major things that they missed and they started to take pictures after they would clean those areas. I had hired Next Day Cleaning to come clean my house this week before leaving for a work trip. Bev's team was sent to my house and was so nice and friendly. They were at my house promptly and did a great job cleaning my house. From kitchen to floors to bathroom, my place looked ready to sell after they cleaned it haha. What was really great was a couple smaller points (but I'm a stickler for details) they put trash bags in my small trash cans (bathroom and game room) and lifted the blinds on all windows and cleaned them (which other cleaning companies have skipped windows when blinds were left down).
