This use to be my place to go due to convenience and generally a decent service experience. Sadly, things have changed enough where I will not be going back. Service a year ago = Dry Cleaning done and provided back 36 hours later Service typically these days = Dry Cleaning done with at least a 60-72 hour need to turnaround. This was fine and I was more than willing to work with that timeframe, but now it has happened twice where I come to pick up items after the time promised and the items were not ready. Now, the reason I write this is because this past visit, I tried to pick up my items after the first time trying to pick up and told to come back tomorrow. I did and one of the shirts (5 total) was STILL not ready. Makes me think it was borrowed over the weekend or something very odd. They said it was due to a stain. If that was really the case, then why wasn't that shared originally on the first time I tried to pick up this past Monday, 8/20? All in all, I am going to take my business elsewhere as this one is losing their commitment to good service which they use to have, and also I have never been a fan of them not showing itemized receipts. read more

I love this place! I've seen many dry cleaning businesses come through this location, but these guys have stuck around for a while now. The owners are super friendly, and my dry cleaning is always done on time. They are really sweet people and provide the best dry cleaning service possible. One time, my dry cleaning got mixed up with another customer's but they were able to figure and arrange everything out within a matter of days. I haven't had the need to take my clothes to the dry cleaners since covid because I've been working from home. For the past couple of months my company has asked us to come in a few times a week for in-person meetings so I decided to take my suits to a dry cleaner. A few of my suits had major stains on it and I was scared they wouldn't come off. My cleaners had gone out of business so I decided to search and find another dry cleaner. I found "Next Door Cleaners" on Ocean View in Montrose, read some of the reviews and decided to give it a chance. I'm pretty picky about my dry cleaning so I hoped and prayed they would do a good job. My experience at Next Door Cleaners was Superb!!! 1. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a young lady with a great smile. She was so pleasant and asked how she could help me. I told her I had a few suits that needed cleaning and that this was my first time at their store. (later found out she was the owner's daughter) 2. She thanked me for bringing the items to their store and proceeded to examine the suits and made sure she tagged the spots on each suit paying close attention to detail. Then she took my name and phone number and proceeded to ask if I needed this as a rush order. I told her that a few days would be ok. She gave me a two day turnaround which I was super excited about. 3. Next, she gave me a receipt with the details of the transaction along with the due date. She thanked me again for my business. I left the store feeling really good about my interaction and especially loved the attention to detail. 4. On Thursday, as promised I received a text on my phone from Next Door Cleaners stating my items were ready. This was definitely another big plus as I love technology and the fact that they sent me a reminder to pick up my items. 5. I visited the cleaners on thursday and was greeted again but this time by both the husband and wife (owners - Mirna and Shahe) of the business. They introduced themselves and knew that I was a new client and again thanked me for my business. They also greeted me with a smile and were super pleasant. 6. They brought out my items and asked me to inspect them to make sure it was to my satisfaction. I couldn't believe my eyes as all of the spots had disappeared and the suits were like brand new. Amazing work... I thanked them and said you are now my official dry cleaners for life. To sum it up, I was very impressed with the entire client journey from the time I walked in to the time I picked up the quality work they had done. The fact that they were pleasant, addresssed all of my needs, paid attention to details and delivered in a timely manner. A big plus was the automatic reminder (text on my phone) They are definitely a keeper. I'm not sure why this place has 4.5 stars. The first time I took 10 shirts to be laundered I had to bring 6 back because they were not well pressed. An iron NEVER touched certain parts of these shirts. Very upsetting! They were very non apologetic and asked me to come back in a few days to pick up the re-pressed shirts, which I did only to find a yet again mediocrity. The second time I left my linen shirt to be dry cleaned and yes it was pressed, but it still smelled like my body odor--you guessed it ..they never dry cleaned it, and charged me $5.95 I guess people don't take pride in their work anymore read more

I took a dress shirt in to be pressed for an upcoming wedding. I'm a groomsman so I wanted it to look great. Their service was great, I picked the shirt up the following day and it looked amazing. When I was checking my outfit a couple days later I noticed a small scuff mark on the collar of the shirt that I really wanted to get out. I tried a couple things at home to no avail. So I brought the shirt back to Next Door Cleaners and the generous man who helped me worked his magic in the back, and 5 minutes later the shirt came out looking as good as new. These owners are the nicest individuals in the world. They will help you take your items to your car, and just plain pleasant when you visit. That said, they drycleaning is sub-par. I had an order of over $150. I went to them, because although they are a little pricey they are environmentally friendly and a friend recommended them. When my husband and I started wearing items from the order we realized the armpits smelled (not one item, but the vast majority). I mustered up the courage to call and notify the owners. They kindly offered to re-clean. We went through our order and brought back the ones that smelly that we had not worn. Unfortunately when we got those back from the cleaners the armpits still smelled. While these folks provide terrific service. If my clothes aren't clean I unfortunately cannot continue to patron their store. read more
