We made same day reservations a few hours in advance because we figured it would get crowded with Elon parents visiting their kids. I'm glad we did because it was packed 15 minutes after we sat down. Hostess was kind with greeting us and sat us down right away when we arrived. My husband ordered the shrimp & grits and I ordered the pancakes with sausage. Food came within 15 minutes. The pancakes were fluffy and the sausage was nicely cooked. Service was great and one of the servers made sure to keep my water glass filled. The Mark at Elon is very pretty inside. They have a private parking lot outside reserved for Inn guests and we were able to park there because we were at the restaurant. I would recommend this place if you have guests in town and want something slightly nicer than your typical breakfast diner. They do serve lunch and dinner here too, but I can't speak on that food just yet. I'll have to return to try it out!

The casual but polished ambiance fits perfectly into the charming, throwback small-town feel of downtown Graham.. which feels like something out of an earlier era with its historic courthouse, independent movie theater, and locally-owned boutiques and casual restaurants. The menu offers a wide variety of made-to-order savory and sweet crepes, as well as several toasts and waffle dishes. On my last visit to PRESS, I had the seasonal Blue Ridge crepe ($16.50), which was excellent -- a savory, blue-tinged shell filled with a great combination of sweet maple syrup-glazed ham and tangy granny smith apples and topped by a scrambled "hurricane-style" egg and a spicy maple mustard drizzle. YUM! The beverage menu at PRESS is equally impressive, featuring everything from made-to-order hot and cold coffees and tea-based beverages to a carefully curated cocktail list. I really enjoyed the soy maple pecan latte.

I do know the last time I was here a good while back, I left satisfied, so I'm adding an extra star to offset all the one star reviews. Typical Denny's decorum, nothing out of the ordinary. I came in, and my waitress seated me almost immediately. She was super nice and attentive. I ordered an appetizer of boneless wings with extra sauce, and for the first time in a while, the cook gave me exactly what I asked for. I had enough sauce to pretend that I was eating boneless wings cereal, with sauce as the milk . I ordered the mac and cheese brisket sizzlin skillet. It came out somewhat sizzling, but my only complaint is if you look at the close up shot, there's not really a whole lot of mac and cheese on there. I mean I understand not putting on extra onion rings or extra meat, but mac and cheese is relatively inexpensive. So that disappointed me a bit. Other than that, my food came out fast, it was fresh and it was hot. Wait staff was great, and the gentleman that rung me up was also great. I'm sure I'll be back through here again at some point, and I'll probably eat here for breakfast tomorrow morning.

No one seemed to care and several people standing behind us left my suggestion is you not come here if you need to be handled in a timely manner. She was very rude.

Angelina's European Cafe sounds like a chic spot to enjoy black coffee and finger sandwiches while…read morewearing a beret and reading existential poetry, but it's actually a typical New Jersey-style diner through and through with plenty of tasty, made-to-order options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - as well as a full bar - served by attentive and competent staff. The menu offers something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for traditional breakfast staples like fluffy pancakes and eggs benedict or more robust lunch and dinner options like Philly cheesesteaks and burgers. The food is competently executed and very reasonably priced considering the portion size. I saw plenty of folks at tables seated nearby bringing their leftovers home for a second meal. My dining companion and I both had the Breakfast Special ($9), comprised of two eggs as-you-like-them, your choice of bacon or sausage, grits or potatoes, and a slice of bread. We both commented that our meal was pretty tasty and the portion size was reasonable for the price. As others have noted in their reviews, the host/hostess could be a bit friendlier and customer-focused. Angelina's doesn't take reservations and diners are seated on a 'first come, first serve' basis - when the whole party is present. When two of the three folks in our dining party arrived for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning, the hostess insisted we step aside and wait for the third diner to arrive in a few minutes before agreeing to seat us - even though there was no one in line behind us and plenty of open tables. It would have been nice to be seated and have a coffee to pass the few minutes until the third member of our party arrived. Solid 4 stars for a reliable, no-frills meal served by (mostly) friendly staff in a bright, airy space. PRO TIP: The space used to be a McDonald's restaurant, but they've done a great job with the remodel.. especially the dining room located in the former playground area which is now an open, airy space with tons of natural light.

I wanted to be seated so that I could order before she arrived so we could eat promptly after she arrived. We were only a party of two! There were plenty of open tables and booths at the time. It is very obvious that management doesn't trust and hasn't trained their staff to make good, sound decisions that are beneficial to the both the business and the customers. After 30 min a different employee came out of nowhere and offered to seat me. I expressed to her that I was told they were allowed to seat me yet, and it was clear that she had the authority to overrule that "policy". Kudos to her for doing the right thing. Their 3.6 star rating on Yelp is generous.

The first time we went it was pretty packed so we had to wait. They got through the parties before us very quickly and we were able to be seated in a good amount of time from waiting. They have a very large menu with many good options that anyone can find something they'd like to try. Something that caught my eye was the skillet entrées that they serve. I went with the south of the border skillet. This includes Chorizo, home potatoes, jalapeños, green peppers, onions, eggs, avocado, and mixed cheese. I mean... what a combination of items! This was great! The potatoes were cooked to be nice and soft, the chorizo had excellent flavor, and the jalapeños were the perfect amount of spicy kick that took this skillet over the top. It's also supposed to come with a side of beans. As a guy who doesn't eat beans a lot, I asked them could I substitute for a different side and they suggested that I get their rice. This was very good as well. We were constantly checked on, drinks were refilled all the time even with asking and very well taken care of. The prices are very reasonable. This place gets straight to the point... great food and excellent service! I've been back a couple times since, and it's definitely in my rotation of breakfast places to go!
