I want to start with the fact that I LOVE the concept of this restaurant. It's like a vegan steak and shake!They have tons of options to pick from and who doesn't love non gmo food. Unfortunately the price did not match the meal. It's never a issue for me to pay extra for something plant based and non gmo, just food in general. However we had ordered the BBQ Blue, All American Burger, Kids Chkn tenders, extra fries, and two small milk shakes. Total over $50!! We did not get our extra fries, the kids tenders only came with 3, which is not enough at all for a kid and especially for $6! The burgers are DELICIOUS, but those are pretty tiny as well, considering they're over $10. The shakes are delicious, but a small for about $5 is honestly too small. In all it's important to have fair prices that match the quantity. Unfortunately This will be the last time I eat here. read more

Pretty good! We got an American burger, beyond burger and chili cheese fries. The burgers were good and pick-up process was simple. We were rushing to and from the train station, so it was convenient. What knocked off the star was the chili cheese fries. They were just ok. So I'm new to Austin and trying to find the best Vegan Burger out there. To me so far, Plow Burger is the best but I was DYING to try Next Level Burger. So today I tried it. I like that it has it's own order kiosk inside of Whole Foods. The whole process was easy. I love Vegan Fried Chicken Sandwiches but settled on an All American Burger because I love that I get Pickles and cheese. I got mine with Provolone. Added Avocado. And got it with their sauce. I also got Tater Tots and I got them baked. This was all around $17. So...the same price point for a Burger and Fries at Plow Burger, Arlos is a lil less. I probably ordered at 1145Am. It was starting to get busy as I placed my order. They text you when your order is ready. It maybe took 10 minutes tops, it seriously flew by. I got home and started eating. It was...okay. I was really underwhelmed with all my hype. I mean it wasnt bad. But I wasnt blown away. Going to try one more Burger and a Chicken Sandwich before I give up. Would have given 3 stars but I bumped it to a 4 because they were fast and the guy who made my food was super sweet and complimented my hair and wished me a good day. Wish I got his name. I can't even review the food. I'm hungry and rather pissed off, so I am trying not to just vent and start slinging insults, but after waiting an hour after the food was originally supposed to arrive, they canceled my order, and I had to wait another 20 minutes to get an explanation. It turned out they were out of one of the things I ordered, so rather than calling and asking about a substitution, again, after being an hour late, they just canceled the whole damn thing. After giving up meat burgers 42 years ago, I've seen quite a transition in the burger alternative products category ranging from tasteless rubberized products to delicious, "this tastes and smells like a regular burger". Next Level Burger gets close to perfection. Since I'll probably try all the options over time, I started with the Signature burger. Overall I give it great marks and if I had to get picky, I'd say the bread could've been less boring. The 'pepperjack' Cheese was melted beautifully and the burger was cooked nicely too. The baked tater tots brought back great memories from my youth and the dipping sauce was quite tasty. But saving the best for last was the vanilla shake. What a treat! The VERY helpful staff couldn't have been nicer. Kudos for everyone there as they do their part to change the world. Love this place! Food comes out very quickly and is always delicious. My favorites are the SoCal burger and the MexiCali. It has all the taste of a delicious burger without the grease or the heavy feeling afterwards. The shakes are particularly delicious (the candy cane one!) and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Delicious food that everyone will enjoy! Had the golden milk milkshake and the mint chocolate chip milkshake on my first visit. Had some problems with the computer and was accidentally charged 4 times for one milkshake, but after a quick email to corporate, I was responded to very quickly and received a full refunded shortly after, which I really appreciated. The milkshakes were amazing! Returned and had a Caesar salad which was definitely the best salad I have ever had, vegan or otherwise! The tempeh bacon and housemade Parmesan was amazing! Also had the bacon shrooms fries which were a generous portion and very delicious! The fries were crispy and hot, the cheese tasted like regular cheese, and the bacon and shrooms were flavorful. My meat eating husband who has never had a plant based burger before came to NLB with me (we are eating vegan for Veganuary this year). So, this burger was highly anticipated for both him and I. To my genuine shock, after he took his first bite he said, "Yeah. It tastes like a burger. If you didn't tell me it was plant based, I wouldn't have known the difference." After we finished our meal, he sat back and said, "Man. I just can't believe how good that was. Wow!" He's now trying to get his family to come try this restaurant out with us sometime soon. The ordering system here is just a joke. You can either order from the tablets in store or on your phone in the app and you pay before submitting the order. That's the easy part. As the orders come out they are placed on a counter with receipts attached that have the customers name in small print with an order summary. So literally anyone walking through wholefoods can grab any order. They have no system to ensure that the right food gets to the right people. I guess they are operating on an honor system? I waited for nearly an hour and was told my order was already put out a while ago. But I had been standing there the whole time and kept checking as orders came out. That means someone either didn't look at the name and accidentally grabbed the wrong order or someone who didn't pay for a meal knowingly grabbed my food. I was asked to wait while they remade my order but who has unlimited time for a work lunch? So I left without my food and I just have to trust that they will refund me at some point. The food itself is overpriced. A basic burger and fries will cost you no less than $15 and that shoots up fast if you add toppings and a drink.
