I was originally going to give 2 stars but the service was worth another star. The patty completely fell apart at my first bite. It was incredibly disappointing. I got onion rings and they weren't anything special.

Classic burger with Beyond Burger patty
    Jeff G.

For being a vegan burger place it was OK! It's too bad they're not making their own patties like other local restaurants do. I was up sold on the beyond 2.0 burger patty and was, well it seemed like something I can make at home for my own family and not pay $10 for! No seat on the patty. Looked steamed or something.... The sauce was good but it had me smelling like garlic the rest of the day. I was really hopeful for a great experience. Instead it was more like a previous frozen the steamed patty on a tough bun. The veggies were nice thick cut. And the soda selection is unique! Love the real sugar and agave sodas! Needless to say I only ate a few bites. Customer service was kind of off point too, I clearly wasn't thrilled with my burger and she failed to ask how my burger was or about my experience even though she knew it was my first visit.

    Crispy Chik'n Burger

Let me start off with saying I do not lead a plant based lifestyle. So take this review with that in mind. I tried Next Level Burger because I was intrigued. I wanted to see what a plant based burger was all about. So I tried the crispy chicken burger and my spouse got the classic double cheeseburger. Honestly - they looked pretty normal! I loved the packaging that the burgers and fries came in. The bag wasn't weighed down with grease either. As I ate the crispy chicken sandwich I was surprised - it wasn't bad. But, it definitely left me wanting a real crispy chicken sandwich. The burger was better but again, this won't fulfill your craving if you are looking to have a burger itch scratched. Remember though, we do not lead a plant based or Vegan lifestyle so this was new for us. The fries were pretty good. We tried both the crinkle cut and tots. Lastly we ordered milkshakes. I couldn't finish my shake. Way too much coconut milk. My husbands shake wasn't mixed well. He had the peanut butter milkshake and half his shake was just chocolate chips that he could eat whole. I really didn't prefer the taste of the milkshakes. So the question; would I go back? Probably not. I know I am not the targeted customer. I think if you live a plant based lifestyle then this is a great option for you.

    Non-dairy soft serve!!!
    Judy M.

A huge shout out to the customer service I received today! I emailed the company this morning to see if they could possibly serve their soy or coconut soft serve in a cup - rather than be limited to having them in a shake. (I've always loved vanilla soft serve as a kid, but since becoming lactose intolerant as an adult, I can rarely find a non-dairy soft serve option that's any good.) I received a very prompt and very friendly reply from Jory, the Regional Operations Manager, just a couple hours later! She said they "would be more than happy to make it a reality" for me. She also cc'd the store leadership with her reply. Kira from the store replied with super friendly comments too, adding that her favorite is a combination of the soy and coconut. Well, I went tonight, and it was clear the staff had been communicated with. The kind employee served me with a smile and pleasant attitude. I took the non-so-great picture of the soft serve in my car - before I quickly dove into it! I guess it seems a little silly to get so excited about ice cream, but it's the simple pleasures that can mean a lot - especially after the unexpectedly hard day I had. Thanks for brightening my day, everyone. I. Will. Be. Back! :D

This is a great spot in Lake Oswego's Whole Foods 365. I must admit, the first time my kids ate here they didn't love it. I think their expectations of what a burger should taste like versus what they tasted were way off. But we kept going until they were accustomed to the vegan menu. Now they love it. My personal favorite item is the Garden Style Grilled Chz. Tomato, onion and avo topped with cheddar or swiss style cheese. It is really tasty. Kids like the burgers and fries. Next Level also has the best vegan shakes. The shakes are rich, thick, and so creamy. The shakes start with hand spun soy or coconut soft serve ice cream. From there you pick the flavor of your ice cream and then add in's like Brownie Explosion, Cookies and Cream or Mint Chocolate Cup. OMG - so good! Finally, service is consistently friendly and fast. Place is super clean and bright.

    American burger

We ordered the American burger w/ Beyond, special fries, a chipotle burger and a Cobb salad. We tried their beefy patty at first but switched to Beyond since my son didn't like it. The special fries were good and we loved the Cobb salad. The chipotle burger was delicious but they forgot to take off the jalapeños like we ordered. The Cobb salad was especially delicious with honey mustard dressing. The blackberry shake wasn't great. It tasted like soy milk and not so much like blackberries. Overall we enjoyed our meal and we so appreciate all vegan restaurants.

I love NLB..BUT this item was really disappointing...As you can see the pictured item and what I received are vastly different. At first I thought I ordered a Churro. Initially I had no idea if it was a game of grilled onions and Beer cheese hide in seek. Needless to say the bun was burnt, the cheese and onions were under the brat creating a cauldron of slimy runny soup. Also, for 14.95 this really should come with a side of fries.

They've got a lot of creative burger options that are highlighted in other reviews, but I prefer to keep it classic and they can definitely deliver on that as well. The fries are consistently crisp, and I really like that fountain drinks are self-serve and include their flavored lemonades. I've always had someone come by ask how everything is, which is pretty rare for counter order places like this. They offer an all-day smash burger combo with fries and a drink for around 10 bucks which is a good value, though with just a single small patty is not quite enough food for me. Mostly recently I went during the World Cup and they had one of the matches on, so this could be an option if you're looking to catch a particular game during lunch.

The peanut butter pickle bacon burger might sound wild, but it totally works -- sweet, salty, and savory all at once. Everything is cooked to order, and the fries are perfectly crispy with that house seasoning that keeps you reaching for more. The Meathead will fill you to the brink. The staff are upbeat and friendly, and the energy inside is always fun -- casual, a little loud, but in a good way. It's a great place to grab a burger and a beer after work or before catching a game. Prices are fair for the quality, and you can tell they take pride in consistency. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you'll get the same great experience every visit. If you're craving a burger that actually feels like a meal (not a snack), this is the place. Killer Burger gets it right every time.

Say what you will about IHOP, with its generic facade and bland interior (and this one is not the architectural gold standard by any means) and usually a cookie-cutter menu, but the food came out fast, hot and fresh --- and the service was truly wonderful, even though they were slammed on a pre-July Fourth weekend. Eggs were perfectly cooked to order, pancakes were, ah, adequate, and the coffee... well let's not go there. But it was everything I expected, and it filled my belly full of comfort. At the end of our meal we were told by our waitress that she would be going on break but her manager will be checking on us one more time to make sure we didn't need anything. We don't normally get checked on after we pay, never have but her word was her bond. Her manager came and was equally if not more friendly. She made small talk similar to our waitress and found out my children are obsessed with strawberries. She took some plates and came back with 2 little cups of strawberries for both my kids. This is excellent service. Kind, attentive, friendly, very customer service forward. I hope corporate sees this because this is how all your ihop's should function. I see very little customer service as keen as this around anymore. Price was a bit high but I know inflation is hurting us all. But keep up the wonderful customer service.

That said, time and time again, the company removes really great things from the menu, and doesn't replace them with something equitable and it's a bit of a bummer. First for me, the chicken sandwich with the peppers and the aardvark sauce - it was there for the first several years we lived in Oregon, I got it without a bun and it was amazing! It wasn't a seasonal item, just an awesome one! Now, just a plain chicken sandwich that was in the menu before. Then, the cowboy and chicken sliders - we went into get lunch - the cowboy sliders are my husbands absolute favorite and I love the chicken ones. Gone! And no more sweet potato fries. We couldn't land on anything we wanted to order so we left. Let me say I LOVE the local flair and the seasonal items - but it has been such a bummer to see great items come off the menu. Potentially we are the odd ones out and they didn't sell well, and then for that I guess I say fine lol. But man! Those items were so good, and at least for us, as a couple that doesn't really do fast food, were a key differentiator for this chain.

The service is a little slow and I wish parking was easier but that's not their fault. The outdoor seating is nice when the weather is good but not too hot. We had both done our "menu homework" ahead of time and were joking about how excited we were to try the fried chicken... only to realize it isn't offered on the lunch menu. A bit of a letdown. They were also making menu changes while we were there, so a few other items we wanted weren't available either. The restaurant itself is divided between the bar area and a dining corridor. Based on the reviews we read beforehand, we expected something a bit warmer and more inviting. The vibe felt a little flat for midday. Service was friendly but not very attentive. Our food was dropped off, but no one checked in afterward, which made the experience feel a little disconnected. As for the food -- it was fine. Nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. Overall, it's a "check the box" experience: we've tried it, but it won't land on our recommendation list or be a spot we return to

After waiting more than 30 minutes, we still hadn't received any food or drinks, while customers who ordered after us were already being served. We checked on our order twice because our children were hungry and there seemed to be no progress. We were told there were computer system issues, which we understood, so we continued to wait. Eventually, after more than half an hour with nothing received, we requested a refund. While the restaurant refunded the food charges, they did not refund the tip. That was unacceptable. Not only was our time wasted, but we were essentially charged for service we never received. What made the situation worse was the lack of customer service. The manager's response felt dismissive, and there was no genuine apology or effort to make things right. A brief "sorry about that" at the end came across as an afterthought rather than sincere concern. It's now nearly a week later, and I still have not received a refund for the tip. Person in charge said they cannot refund my tip from the store but it must be corporate. Wrote a little note on my receipt, put it in the drawer and said they will submit a request. I left feeling completely ripped off and unvalued as a customer. The impression I got was that because this location is in Bridgeport and likely has plenty of business, losing a customer simply didn't matter. Mistakes happen, especially during busy periods. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience was handled poorly.
