absolutely obsessed with nice burger but specifically this location because of its hours. it's hard to find a good plant based burger conveniently, so i'm happy to have this one on my roster. it's convenient when you're hungry late at night since they're open later than any other locations i've seen. despite living closer to the irvine one, this is why i always go to the santa ana one. it's usually not too busy if you come later in the evening, but you do risk them running out of certain items (ahem, chicken nugs). the workers are always very friendly and quick to get you your order. i love to order their "chicken" nuggets (when they still have them) and their mexicali burger. i did switch up my order recently and tried the bbq bacon cheeseburger though and it was just as delicious.

my boyfriend really likes their spicy chicken sandwiches, so it's easily become a late-night meal staple option. i also like that they have a drive thru. we usually go in to order or we will place it ahead of time so that it's ready...

I come here all the time to get their Spicy Chicken Sandwhich and Friend Fries with ranch. It's comfort food that is so delicious, and I love to sit an enjoy the retro aesthetic. It's such a gem in the OC

like that they have a drive thru. we usually go in to order or we will place it ahead of time so that it's ready by the time we get there, but sometimes when i have gone after work, the drive thru is a great option. i won't lie, it can definitely pile on the wallet but it's worth knowing i can eat anything on the menu--and they have a LOT on the menu. overall, it's definitely a favorite plant-based burger spot of mine!

I changed my order when I saw they had a Big Mac-esque burger called The Big Guy. Don who took our order was super nice and patient. I ordered The Big Guy with fries and my co-worker had the jalapeño burger with tater tots. Not...

worker really liked it as well. He was happy with how low calorie it was compared to if he had gotten a non-vegan jalapeño burger somewhere else. He couldn't tell it was vegan. We've ordered vegan pizza for a meeting before and the cheese was awful due to its texture. Nice Burger's cheese tasted just like regular cheese and had the same texture. Oh and the ranch? Just as good if not better than regular ranch. They have a pretty big variety of all the fast food favorites. I want to take my meat-eating family members, who have to start cutting out meat for certain health reasons here. Tl;dr: it's a classic fast food drive-thru but VEGAN!!! This is a must-stop for vegans and it just might convince your carnivore friends too!

Fried Chicken sandwich with fries! Nice!

As it says in the name, it's a nice burger! We stopped in on our way back to the airport, and it was really nice to be able to get a tasty vegan burger! My husband and I both got their fried chicken sandwiches, and I got fries with mine. The fries were just okay, but the sandwich was tasty and satisfying for both of us. The location was clean and well kept when we were there, and as we were there between lunch and dinner, there weren't many other diners, so that was pleasant. The workers are friendly but not super interactive (you order via kiosk), so that can be a plus if you're not feeling chatty. It's not the most convenient location for non-locals (it would be so nice to have this within walking distance of Disneyland or other area attractions for tourists/visitors like us), but I imagine it's great for the local folks. We were in the area for my husband's work conference, and we don't travel to this area for much else, so I don't anticipate being back, but if we do, I would probably try to work in a stop here. It was pretty good!

Love this place! So sad the one near my house closed down last year but I periodically drive out to this one when I need to get my burger/chicken tenders fix/animal friendly fries. Not a fan of the nuggets though- the tenders are delicious, get those instead. Sweet potato fries are solid. Service is good and there is plenty of seating to dine inside. Ambiance is like a diner, I love all the local vegan restaurants listed on their wall!!! Going to try to fish sandwich next.

I have been craving burgers for so long and as someone who doesn't eat beef or pork it's hard to find a good spot. I've been looking for a vegan burger place for a while and this is the place. Went here on Sunday and there was no wait. I got the Nice Burger (minus mayo and cheese) and it was fantastic. My boyfriend still eats meat and said the burger was amazing and tasted similar to beef burgers. We also ordered the fries and they were great as well. We did dine in and the tables were so cute and had that classic diner vibe to it. There is also a drive through option. The service was nice and we were able to order from a kiosk at the front and take our time looking at the options. The price was a little high but that is usually the price for vegan food so it was understandable. I would definitely come here again.

Excellent vegan burgers and fries! In a small-ish establishment is a vegan menu that will blow your mind! I had the Junior Nice Burger which was served on a soft bun with lettuce, tomato and Thousand Island sauce. It was a perfect few-bites lunch. The sweet potato fries were so crisp they snapped! Not greasy just delicious especially when dipped in a kicky barbecue sauce.

Worst place to get sweet potatoes they serve you BITTER burnt potatoes so much for having a meal after a long day taste like burnt charcoal this place has gone down the drain it's empty af for a reason I see now definitely never coming back here again

I'm so grateful for this 100% vegan food stop since I was coming down the coast from a roadtrip! The service is on point. I didn't know what I wanted, the cashier was patient and pointed out the best sellers. Despite it being on the pricier side, it's worth it for the taste and quality of each item. I ordered the Orig Nice Burger, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, tater tots and a shake! There is a drive thru which is convenient but I needed to stretch my legs, inside was clean and not busy, I came on a weekday around 7pm. Bathrooms are kept clean and humorous, the sign in the bathroom made me lol. Highly recommend trying Nice Burger when you're in the area or on a roadtrip!

Having been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time, I was excited when hubby and I finally got a chance to stop by. Upon driving up, I was impressed by the large "Nice Burger" sign as well as the 100% Vegan noted under the sign. Although they also offer drive-thru, we decided to do dine in for our first visit. As we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by employees and asked if we had any questions. Hubby asked about whether their meat contained nuts (since hubby has severe nut allergy) and was told that they Beyond burger. After utilizing their self serve kiosk, I ordered a combo with their breakfast burger, animal style fries, and a soda while hubby ordered a combo with their grilled shroom burger and chili cheese tater tots. Our food was quickly delivered to our table by an employee who regularly checked if the food was satisfactory. The burgers were hot and delicious and the fries were crispy and cheesy. The overall restaurant atmosphere is chill with the combination of smoothies Jazz playing in the background along with a big screen TV showing a display of a comfortable room with a fireplace. Following our delicious meal and having such friendly service, we definitely plan to visit again the next time we are in the area.

Ordered 2 -Nice Burger - Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mayonnaise, ketchup with Sweet Potatoe Fries and Draft Cola. The fries were cooked with Rice Bran oil. It was burned or overcooked. 1 -BIG GUY BURGER - Cheese, Lettuce, Onions, Pickles, Thousand Island with Potato Taters and Stubborn Pink Lemonade. Tater Tots tasted good. It is fried with Rice Bran oil. This burger is similar to Big Mac. 1 - Grandma's Famous Organic Carrot Cake - It was good flavor and sweetness was perfect. Our first vegan protein was BEYOND brand was over 5 years ago. If you love Beyond patties, you will love these burgers. They also have Gardein burgers as well. Gluten free burgers are available at this restaurant. Check their website. Overall, the food was okay because we are not used to Beyond texture taste. The first couple bites taste really good, but meat overtook the flavor of the burger. We personally like Impossible burger more. I hope this restaurant can add Impossible meat in the near future.

I tried a number 7 combo with tatters and a black cherry soda. It hit the spot so well. For my brother a number 5 with sweet potato fries. Of course I sampled both on the drive home and they were so good. I definitely want to be back and try more of the menu because the food smacks. read more

Ever since I went 100% vegan I've had no real luck finding a good vegan burger. The search is over. This place has a good vegan burger. Ordered the Jr Nice Burger with fries and a drink. Everything was delicious. If you handed the burger over to a non-vegan they probably would not tell the difference immediately. Fries were good too. I'll be back for sure to try other menu items. All of the veggies in the burger were fresh, nothing look like it was wilted or sat around for a long time. Service was good and the staff were friendly. read more

This is a MUST try place for everyone! Vegans and non-vegans. The food here is incredible. I bought lunch one day for myself and friend (non-vegan) and she couldn't believe how delicious her food was. She even went back on a different occasion to buy lunch. The only thing I would tell everyone is to not expect to get your meal fast. This is not like your other drive thru's It takes time prepping and cooking so don't be in rush. Be patient! It's worth it. read more

The burger was so yummy and it really tasted just like a regular non-heart healthy one. Genie was so sweet and polite when I asked her a few questions regarding the ingredients and how they're made. I was worried due to a heart attack I had last year.Nonetheless, as she went over the process to make a 100% vegan burger, I felt more confident to give it a try. I honestly need more people to learn about Nice Burger because they need to stay around! Being a vegan, a completely plant based place like Nice Burger is already appealing to me, but what I didn't expect was just how amazing the food would be!! This was truly the greatest plant based burger I've ever had, it was juicy and the closest I've ever had a beyond burger get to a real burger. We also got the chicken sandwich and fish sandwich, both which tasted almost exactly like the real things! All of their dipping sauces were incredible, and then their oat milk ice cream was to DIE FOR. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough! Please go to it, because we need more amazing businesses like this one around, for vegans and non-vegans alike! read more

We stopped by for our first time here in Santana. So much to choose from on the menu, we ended up ordering the classic burger and we loved it....we ordered tater totes instead of fries, they were bomb!!!!! It's 100% vegan here, everything!! The number 13 was huge and filling. If you like sweet potato fries like me get them here! The food was so good I eat a lot but a combo #13 with sweet potato fries and a drink for $17 not that's bad tbh. Great service, they asked if it was our first time and when we said yes they recommended their best burgers and smaller stuff if we weren't that hungry. The guy knew his burgers though and you can't go wrong with the mainlander. The place looks like an old school diner and they play oldies. Burgers are BIG! I ate half and saved the other for later. The fries came out hot and fresh (I burned my tongue on a sweet potato one). One order is very shareable but we got one of each and they were both very good. We got the Nice Guy, Spicy Chicken and Jalapeno burgers and would get them again. Nuggets are crispy and yummy too. Service was great. We're so happy to support an all vegan drive-thru and will definitely be back. We're in South County but it's worth the drive! read more

I love this place! I've been several times and have never been dispppinted! The burgers are fantastic and their tater tots are delicious (and the portion HUGE!). Their sides are the perfect addition - don't forget those! They also offer a vegan carrot cake that is so tasty! I'm not vegan, but I might change my mind after eating at Nice Guys. 1) the food tastes great 2) the portions are HUGE 3) the employees are super nice 4) they have a drive thru at the Santa Ana location 5) they actually care about safety and sanitation, everyone is wearing gloves and masks, even the cashier. Was looking for somewhere local I could take my vegetarian friend where there would be a wider range of options and found this spot. It's a little pricey for fast food (~$20 for a sandwich, fries, & drink). They don't advertise the beyond meat or impossible meat so they might have an alternative. My friend got the "chicken" sandwich and I got the Cali Burger. My friend and I agreed the food was alright. I could do without the smear of avocado and faux bacon on my order. In the future, I will probably order one of the "chicken" options or a classic burger. The fries were good, I genuinely commend them for that. Something was wonky about the soda machine, way too much carbonation. Some music might help the ambiance. They do have a drive through and pre-ordering. Give this business some love. read more

He made conversation with us and my niece loved that he drew Mickey Mouse on the bag (we had just come back from Downtown Disney). Was my first time trying a more mom 'n' pop vegan burger. I got the big guy burger combo with sweet potato fries and ranch! I came around 6pm on a Wednesday and thought the wait was appropriate. I absolutely loved the chunky ranch, and didn't know I could love ranch even more. The sweet potatoes were good as well, but some were slightly burnt and over salted. The one thing I didn't super love was the burger. It was a bit too sweet for me, but I think it may have been the buns or special sauce. I ate about half of the burger and will eat the rest (I just have to take a small break). I loved the smash patty though and am overall impressed by this joint . I'll definitely visit again, but will maybe go with a smaller burger so I can finish my meal! read more

After driving 35 mins with traffic and convincing my husband to bring me, I'm sad to say it's my last time I ever go here. husband and I are vegan but my son, 5, is vegetarian- he doesn't eat meat (real or vegan). So my son asked for a happy meal from Wendy's since they don't have grilled cheese on the nice guys menu. After picking up grilled cheese, we walked in, ordered our food and my son started eating his grilled cheese. Worker went to me and said "I'm sorry but non vegan food is not allowed here" I told her it's my son's and that they don't have grilled cheese, so that's the only reason we ordered it next door What's disappointing is trying to support this business by driving so far, spending $40 on two meals, only to have to leave. Also, I always ignored the fact that they are not polite at all. There is no human interaction, even a hello when you walk in. You ignore it to support the vegan business! I talked to the manager to explain I understand the rule however this is a 5 year old that is working on becoming vegan and he kept saying how he's sad because he's almost vegan. She just looked at me blank stare, explaining it's owners rules and that I can get chicken nuggets. I was polite and explained all I wanted was to share that it didn't seem the right thing to do and to pass info to owner. She said she understood and I can message Instagram page with the concern. Oookay. The first real time in my life I ever point something out at a vegan restaurant and I was very disappointed by the way they handled it. I worked in management before so I always side with the employees. This situation was eye opening. read more

Wow. A vegan fast food joint that was great! Order at counter via touch screens. Burgers were good as were sweet potato fries and tater tots. We split a chocolate shake and it was good. We are vegetarians, not vegans, so we were pleasantly surprised at the taste. The dining room was a bit dirty, but everyone in the kitchen was working nonstop, so they probably hadn't had time to clean tables. read more

Walked in excited as hell to harass a completely cruelty free burger and brother lemme tell you, I was in shock with how DELICIOUS this joint turned out to be. I got the Breakfast Burger, gf got the Nice Bacon Burger, sweet potato fries and a side of chicken nuggets. First off, the "bacon" was crispy, tasteful and rich. Pattys gave the feeling of a mcDonalds quarter pounder but the taste of Gordon Ramsey fondling a basket of whatever that "beef patty" was made out of, oh my GOD it was biblical. Phenomenal. The literal perfect patty, SpongeBob for sure in the Stu. Anyways thank you so much, do yourself a favor and go. Tip good too, the service is so sweet and welcoming. read more

I started following this place on Instagram in anticipation of a trip I knew I'd be taking out to the west coast, and I finally got to try their food yesterday! I ordered the Cali burger, sweet potato fries, and chicken tenders. Chicken tenders have a bit of a kick fyi. Everything was so good, best vegan fast food I've ever had! read more

I managed to get a nice splash of it directly on my shirt. It's a permanent souvenir now, but honestly, the flavor was worth the casualty. I went on a Sunday around 5 PM and the line was short. The menu is expansive and prices are average. You are not going to get taco stand prices here as it is a brick and mortar. Service was fast. The food came out in a few minutes. They maybe have 4-5 tables outside for seating. There are no indoor tables. There is a salsa and toppings bar. I got a cabeza taco and Tripa taco. Excellent! The tacos did not disappoint and well worth the $3.50 each. Bandito Taqueria in Santa Ana, who also does Tijuana style tacos, has competition. Instantly Angel's becomes one of the best tacos in OC.
