We went for the first time through the drive thru today and it was DELICIOUS (got the mushroom burger and the spicy chicken sandwich). My only suggestion would be to bring in your own reusable straw, or just drink your beverage straight from the cup. The ones they use are made out of rice flour (basically a pasta straw?), so it became soft and started breaking down very quickly. Cool idea, but not very useful. This location (Santa Ana) is a new one, doing a soft opening with drive-thru only operation. Being a long time vegetarian & raising one as well, I appreciate this fast food option with fast food prices. Large print menu with photos. The drive thru menu didn't have the vegan chicken nuggets listed as they do on the online menu, but they were available when asked. I definitely reccomend. They are perfectly coated & fried, making them the crispiest & juciest vegan chicken nuggets I have ever tried. Soy free options available as well! We got the junior burger, complete with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, & thousand island sauce. It was great! No complaints from any of us. Also, the vegan spicy chicken sandwich, complete with pickle, lettuce, tomato, & cheese. I was thoroughly impressed & didn't want the bites to end! This sandwich was the best thing we got, followed closely by the vegan chicken nuggets. For dessert, we got the pineapple dole topped with chamoy & tajin They also have their own version of sodas. The diet had a funky aftertaste to me, so I won't be getting that again, but the green tea was great! Overall, 10/10 for convenience, service, value, freshness, & taste. read more

Stopped by on my way home and wow I was blown away! Food was delicious definitely recommend the sweet potato fries and the Nice Bacon Burger with ranch!! It tasted better than a "normal" bacon burger in my opinion. The drive thru line was a bit long but worth the wait and the service was great, super nice cashier. Definitely go try it! The best vegan burgers around!! My husband and I come here often and we have never left unsatisfied. My favorite is the breakfast burger and he likes the bbq burger. They also have AMAZING chicken strips, the breading is perfectly flaky and seasoned just right. Their ranch is the best vegan ranch I've had, it's so creamy! One of my favorite things about coming here is how dog friendly they are. We brought our dog to eat with us on the patio and they brought her out her own dish full of treats and a bowl of water. VEGAN FAST FOOD GAME CHANGER! We're all in, breakfast soyrizo burrito with tater tots and chipotle sauce, oh my goodness. Breakfast sandwich, shroom burger and sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets and a birch beer with an edible straw- you won't want to eat the straw though because you'll be too full. We've been twice now and haven't had anything taste sub par. I gotta say they claim the nuggets are the best plant based nuggets around but I can't agree- although I haven't found any that are and they aren't for me to eat so what do I care? My kid ate them just fine! We will go back another time for the shakes and soft serve and we're excited for it. It's very rare to find somewhere to eat where you don't have to stress the no dairy thing and still worry after you've stressed it. I'm really not into vegan so I was skeptical when my son found this place on Yelp. Let me just say be prepared to be blown away by how fantastic the burgers are here. I got the Jr Nice Burger which is your basic patty with cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce and thousand island sauce. The patty had a nice char taste. The vegan cheese tasted like real American cheese. I seriously couldn't tell that I was eating vegan. My son got the burger with mushrooms and grilled onions and he loved it. The burgers weren't greasy. I liked that it didn't leave me with a heavy feel afterwards. We also tried the sweet potato fries which were very good. It's a soft opening right now so drive thru service only. It did take a while, the line moved slow, but it was so worth the wait. The price point was a bit on the high side however I think that's cuz vegan ingredients aren't cheap to begin with. Now, if I were given a choice between a meat burger or a Nice burger, I'm sold on the Nice burger. It was that good!!!! read more

This review is for CUSTOMER SERVICE ONLY! (Food is amazing) However if customer service is beyond below par! it's not worth coming back anymore. This establishment or at least this location chooses when to open and close regardless of posted hours. NO ONE WILL EVER ANSWER AS ITS A MACHINE! and 90% of the time I order Door Dash from them they always leave out an order for multiple items. Today was the last straw I ordered a combo meal and only receive a single item the driver said that she asked if there was a drink included and was told it was only a single item. I'm sorry but I did not pay $30 for a single item. The establishment needs to pay attention! Or just simply do their job. I'm tired for paying for items and not receiving them. Or in other words STOP STEALING MY MONEY!!! When I do dine in they are very rude and don't greet upon entering and always about 80° in there for some reason? they don't turn on the AC. I was very skeptical at first when I drove past this spot but then decided, what the heck going to try it! So glad I did! Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with tater tots! The tater tots were so good!!!! Cooked and salted to perfection! The chicken sandwich was very tasty and tasted like chicken! Cliché I know but I've had other plant based protein that tasted like dirt.... Not here the chicken tasted like chicken! I used buffalo sauce to dip it in and that was bomb! Besides the food tasting good and like the regular bad stuff we eat daily, the best part of this meal was that for once after going to a "burger" joint, I didn't feel bloated and uncomfortable! Can't go wrong with Nice Guys! Best vegan burgers around and this location has drive thru! Honestly I think I prefer to order ahead and just run in to pick up, but the drive thru is convenient right now with COVID for those with children or perhaps other health sensitivities that would lead them to feel more comfortable not having to go inside any establishments. The prices are fair, and even if they weren't the food is too good to pass up! Staff is always friendly at both locations, the service is efficient, and you get your food in a timely manner. Anyway you slice it this place rules and you really can't go wrong! Can't wait for more "vegan fast food" options in the future, Nice Guys is a solid start and an awesome model. read more

I thought this would change as they got the hang of things but it seems to have only gotten worse. I've been in line 40 minutes and there were only 3 cars ahead of me. The food gets 5 stars. While waiting in a long drive thru line, we noticed cars backing up out of the line, causing an irritating shuffle of cars. When it was our time to order, we asked if we could have a minute to look over the menu, since it was our first time at this fairly new restaurant. The employee then stated "if you're not ready, please back out of line." There were 3 cars behind us and we were already waiting for more than 10 mins. Honestly, I've never been asked to back up out of a drive thru line and by the looks of it, they were already way behind in orders. Weirdest and worst drive thru experience. -- prematurely reviewed and gave a 1 star due to the above treatment. Tried their food. This place SCHMACKS. Better than monty's in LA. I'll give a 3 star review since the food is great. Please work on your policy about not allowing customers to review the menu and telling ppl to back out of line. I've been going here since it opened bc I'm vegan and live nearby. I haven't been to the other locations but I see the photos so I'm going to try to be as constructive as possible. 1. Food is good, it could be consistently great if everyone was well trained and there were better procedures. Sometimes I get very salty tots and sometimes I get no salt. One time I got a sour soufflé cup of chipotle ranch. It was the consistency of foam and smelled bad. Please see 2 below and train staff on proper rotation. Someone will get sick. 2. Service. Wtaf? Do you need to know Don to get help? It was chaos when we picked up food yesterday at dinner. The com for drive thru wasn't working, some guy walked in holding a burger in a del taco wrapper saying he got the wrong one but already bit, I ordered a Sunday and got just soft serve. The staff was wondering what happening to a cheeseburger, no clue who got it, and generally in disarray. It's uncalled for, they were understaffed and the manager walked in when we were there and clocked in and started working on the com. Do better, this is a reflection on vegans and it makes us look sloppy. 3. It's so dirty! Why does no one else say this?!?! It's not ok. I've always thought this location was the bastard stepchild of Don's empire, don't look up or down bc it's filthy. Please, for the love of the Supreme Master and animals everywhere, rent a power washer and get to work. No wonder the lights are dim in the evening. I found this place on Yelp as it's "hot and new" so we had to try it out, but I really don't understand the hype. First of all, the wait time is ridiculous! The entire process was extremely slow, the line moved slow, ordering was slow, and receiving the food was slow. Additionally, when you pay they hand you a machine where you may chose the amount you'd like to tip. This is both unsanitary and unsafe due to covid, and a little uncomfortable. Why should I provide a tip when it's drive thru and I haven't even tasted the food yet? They also have a very small drink selection which is written on cardboard. I will say the food was good!
