On our first visit to his office, we each took advantage of his promotion: Comprehensive Exam, Ultrasonic Cleaning and Polish, and Full Mouth Radiographs for $175. It's been many years since I've seen a dentist. I got new dental insurance so I decided to give Dr. Gih a try based on his perfect yelp reviews and was glad I did! He and his staff exceeded my expectations. His front desk assistant Alma was very friendly and nice. She made the whole x-ray process really easy and smooth. It was really important to her that I was comfortable. She also did a fine job polishing my teeth afterwards. Dr. Gih was very easy to talk to and informative. He listened to my concerns and provided me with conservative options to address my problems. Honesty is a very important quality to me in a doctor. I never once felt like he was trying to provide me with a service that I did not need. He took his time on me and nothing was rushed. I thought he did a very thorough job addressing my teeth. It felt like each tooth received the proper care it needed. People usually dread going to the dentist, but after leaving his office today, I thought it was a little funny that I was actually looking forward to coming back for another cleaning in 6 months. Dr. Gih has great credentials and is a good dentist. He went to UC Irvine and USC. He was also dentist in the Army, so I'm very happy to be giving him my business. As a dentist, he has a surprisingly gentle and delicate touch. He did some work that I've had done in the past, but this time, I barely noticed it with him. So I came here on short notice without an appointment, even though they were booked throughout the week, they still managed to squeeze me in. I was having some problems with my cavity that I was putting off for awhile now, and come to find out I had to get a root canal without insurance ..luckily they worked with me in order to figure out a way to help me out so I can get treatment done for the same day. Dr. Gih was very helpful to the point where he asked if I had any questions multiple times and elaborated on every detail of why I had to get a root canal and any other options I can take (like pulling the tooth). Sabrina, the dentist's assistant, was really great at explaining my options financially and helped with understanding x-rays after she took them. I'm SO happy and grateful we found Dr Gih's dental practice! We are treated kindly and respectfully here by both Dr Gih and his receptionist. They were extremely accommodating to us, fitting us in completely last minute, which was unexpected. It was a great surprise! Dr Gih was very open about discussing the treatment plans for my daughter's teeth, which I greatly appreciate. He made me feel like there were a couple of options for her while he was explaining his recommendation to us and I did not feel he was pressuring us at all. This experience was very refreshing! We have been to 4 different dentists in the area and after seeing each one, I left feeling like they were just trying to make a buck off of our teeth. Coming from a small New England town back east, I've never experienced anything like the way dentistry is done in most of places in this area- most of them make you feel like your talking to used car salesmen. I have been seeing Dr. Gih for a little over a year now, and my teeth have never looked better! Even though I moved to San Francisco recently, I still drive the 400 miles to see him. I have been patients of several different dentists since I was young, but Dr. Gih quickly became my favorite. He is careful and gentle, and always asks if I am doing okay. Plus, he remembers my name when I go in, and doesn't need to look at my "chart" to remember! I would also point out, he is always on time, and I rarely (if ever) have to wait to see him. I have had other dentists in the past where you show up for your 1pm appointment and you end up waiting around until 1:30pm. Annoying! read more

Honestly it's hard to find a reliable and skilled dentist that I frequently go back to. I don't usually like going to dentists, but Dr. Gih and his staff make the entire process smooth and painless. His practice accepted my insurance. He is attentive to what your needs are and doesn't push unnecessary or unneeded procedures on you. As a patient, he makes time for you and really makes sure you get what you need. The dedication he has to providing dental care is amazing, and I would definitely recommend him to people, which I already have. There are many dentists closer to where I live, but it's hit or miss with them and many of them have dentists on a rotating basis. Dr. Gih was amazing. I really hate going to the dentist but he makes you feel really relaxed and before you know it, you're done! I drove all the way from Vegas to get my teeth examined by Dr. Gih because I heard he was a good doctor and didn't pressure you into buying stuff you don't need.
