I have a utility vehicle for my farm that they take care of for me. Nick's does great work and they're just a phone call away.

After speaking with Apol and Scott they decided to furnish me with a new unit for the warranty cost and return the broken unit to them.

The first hole always seemed to kick my backside. Not sure I ever got par on this par 5. The 2nd hole was an elevated par 3 and I always ended up on the right gully or in the trap. 3rd & 4th hole were good. Short par 4 and fairly easy par 3. Hated 6 through 9. Par 3 over a gully, 7 is a long par 3, dog leg left, green protected by a large oak. 8th probably the hardest hole on the course. Gully all the way down the right side. 9 is a long challenging par 5 with water. The back 9 I liked 10 & 11 (par 3), 12 was always tough with a narrow, difficult tee shot. 13 was a long up hill par 5 that played much longer. 14 was a short downhill par 4 dog leg right with a green protected by deep bunkers. 15 was a straight par 4 down hill. 16 was a challenging par 4 with gully down the right. 17 was a short par 3 over the same gully and a bunker in the back of the green for those who fly it long. 18 was a memorable par 5 with a blind tee shot. The tips tee box was placed back very far. Overall, I got the experience of playing golf here a lot. Not sure I'd go back after all the years. Long walk from the parking lot to the clubhouse. Stay safe on Highway 4 if you decide to go.

They have discounts for military / law enforcement (even retired). After that, it seems to go down hill. The carts are old and worn. There are no trash cans on the course. Why? People were placing their empty cans/bottles on the half barrels hole description / markers. There is no sand in the bunkers. A lot of the cart paths are in dire need of repair. There was no water available on the course. They had the little huts, but no coolers inside. It was 90 degrees today. No drink cart on the course. No water on the course. That's insane. The course is still challenging and fun to play, but seriously...it could be so much better. Especially considering the location it's in. They seem to be riding on the fumes of the reputation they had decades ago.

Ruva and Irene were helpful every step of the way and made sure all of our questions were answered and were a big help with some of the vendors we ultimately went with. The venue looked beautiful the day of and the flow of event was smooth and on point. The food was delicious (by account of our guests) and the open bar we had was well worth it! Staff and everyone else involved were pleasant and accommodating. The table settings were set up exactly how we requested both in terms of decoration and seating chart wise. We would recommend this venue to any couple because they are also fairly new and learning from every event that happens, they can only get better!

I had booked our tee times well in advance, but there was a bit of a miscommunication on the books when we arrived, and the staff seemed surprised by our family check-in. Honestly, Nate was the absolute MVP of the day. Without him, our day would have been ruined. So, we truly appreciate him and we were so grateful that he went above and beyond to get us completely taken care of, ensuring our family was able to stick together and play/spectate as a group for the whole round. We timed the day perfectly, wrapping up on the 18th hole right around 8 PM. To cap off a great day, we had dinner at The Conservatory. The customer service there was top-notch, and the food was exceptional. My dad enjoyed it so much that he already wants to come back to try out the Ocean Course next time--hopefully with a more organized situation at check-in!

The staff were wonderful from the start. We finished with 4.5 hours so the pace was decent. Afterwards we ate at the clubhouse and the steaks were great!! I am a complete and total beginner when it comes to golf. My husband absolutely refuses to teach…read moreme how to play - he tells me that it's best not to have significant others teach each other how to do stuff regarding sports. (I think he thinks that I might cramp in on his guy time). I've been to the range a few times, but I couldn't seem to get the ball past the 50 yd flag. (That, and there have been a few times where the ball will catapult into the little walls that are around the mats...I've had to yell "duck" a few times)...But I digress. Byron has taught me how to actually hit the ball forward. I am now lobbing it clearly over 100 yards, and my grip on my clubs isn't white-knuckle tight. Yes, I know that it's not much, but again, I am a clear cut beginner, and Byron has me wanting to continue to play. He works in a great facility in Martinez called Power Endurance, and his set up is state of the art. I've seen a few of the other people he's been teaching, and they look like they're learning a lot. Looking at his little snippet on their website (trainpe.com), he has quite the pedigree in golf: Former NCAA All-American UCLA Golf Team Captain UCLA Golf Team MVP Teaching lessons over 25 years But what I like about him is he makes me feel comfortable with my game, and his suggestions on how to improve it have really helped.

I did a ton of research on instructors and one person kept coming up with nothing but positive reviews, Byron Schlagenhauf. I decided to give him a shot and scheduled lessons for my son. Byron has a great personality and teaching style which my son clicked with immediately. Byron shows my son how to do something, why he needs to do it, practices until he gets it right several times and then reviews what they did. After 5 lessons my son is now hitting the ball straighter, longer and more accurate than I could ever imagine. I would recommend abyronbto anyone at any level and I've decided to schedule lessons for myself.

It was a beautiful day, perfect for sitting outside and listening to live music. The staff was extremely helpful, answering all of our questions and even offering tastes of their beers and sours. I'm not usually a fan of sours, so I went with the Ernst Amber Ale, while my friends ordered the Cosmo Sour and the P-Wing Sour. For sours, they were surprisingly tasty. I may have to give them another chance. Street Steam Bunz was the food truck of the day, and we ordered rice bowls with bulgogi beef and chicken katsu. Both were served with fried rice, ginger, and pickled cucumbers, and everything was delicious. A great way to spend a Sunday. Five Suns and Street Steam Bunz both earn five stars from me.

Nice, casual spot to hang out. The staff is friendly and helpful, and happy to make suggestions and provide samples. Prices are actually reasonable, noticeably more so than comparable places. I had an OG Burst, and a Ghost Moon Pilsner. The pilsner was very good. RB had the Granger porter and enjoyed it. There is a food truck by the patio, from which we ordered a grilled cheese, which was good. You can also bring in outside food if you prefer. Would return for another visit next time we're in downtown Martinez.
