Crispy Jidori Chicken Schnitzel with Wild Mushrooms
    Natasha B.

The menu features a great selection of seasonal dishes. We especially enjoyed the focaccia bread and the chicken entrée--both tasted fresh and were well prepared. My only critique is that some of the dishes were a bit too buttery for my taste, making the flavors richer than I personally prefer. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I would definitely return.

This place wow! Came here first bday dinner food was superb. Service also was amazing. Did the chicken schnitzel and their specials look fresh.

Great restaurant that focuses on new American located in a busy strip mall in Newport Beach. The vibes here feel like they're casual enough to have a fun night out or drinks with friends and upscale enough to be a nice date night or a place to have a celebratory meal. The folks and service here were amazing. My friend had her dog with her and we were looking for a place to grab a bite on the later side. We checked to see if they would accommodate us since they had a patio area. And they did! I'm not sure if it's their usual policy, but that was very kind of them and I was excited to get my eat on. I ended up ordering the schnitzel and a beer. I think the schnitzel is one of their more popular items and I haven't had one in a while. I thought it was delicious. Really hit the spot and great rec from the waiter. Overall, just a great place to dine at multiple times a week if you live in the area or fitting for lots of different occasions. We walked over here with the pup, but the place feels like parking shouldn't be a problem.

The service here was truly exceptional, and the staff made us feel very well taken care of throughout the evening. I also really enjoyed the ambiance and the live music--it created a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. While the food didn't quite meet my personal expectations, that may come down to individual taste. The halibut was a bit dry for me, and the pastas felt more subtle in flavor than I tend to prefer. That said, the overall experience was pleasant thanks to the wonderful service and setting, even if the menu itself wasn't a standout for me.

This restaurant is fantastic. The staff is so helpful and personable and knows about the food any questions you'd have. The portions here for the price you pay is definitely worth it! You will not leave hungry. The focaccia bread and the pumpkin Agnelli are amazing starters. The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster papperdelle pasta is truly delicious. Dessert I cannot even begin to start with how delicious it was. The cheesecake is so fresh the texture and the taste is just right. The blanc cookies with gelato are paired perfectly. The restaurant has been expanded and is decorated very cute especially for Christmas.

What a great spot in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area. The ambiance is outstanding. A very elegant feel inside the restaurant but comfortable for all to enjoy. Service was outstanding. Bartender was on point with drink selections. And the drinks were well made!!! Not an overwhelming number of selections because the restaurant definitely puts an emphasis on quality or quantity which is well appreciated. Food came out hot and fresh. Brussel sprouts with pork belly was out of this world. Highly recommend. Caesar salad had a great dressing and fresh lettuce that made it tasty. Meatball was gigantic, tender, and had a very good flavor. Highly recommend a visit. No one will be disappointed.

Great date night. Booth in the back corner, service wasn't great because it was close to closing time. Cheesecake with blackberry compote was excellent. Amazing crab cakes, but very different from the Maryland style I'm used to.

Half Crispy Jidori Chicken Schnitzel with Wild Mushrooms (no mushrooms, split in half)

Very glad to have stumbled upon this place. Server was so kind, everything we ate was delicious. Saw i needed to get the cheesecake so we did and it did not disappoint. I hope more people go here so it's busier next time I'm in.

This review is a bit late but nonetheless, warranted. Amazing experience just before Valentine's Day weekend and the food and drinks were top tier. The hardest part was picking food items on their menu. Luckily our server, Lauren, graciously guided us through the menu and helped me select options suited for my requests. Her knowledge of the menu was thoroughly impressive. We got the weekend chef special of the filet with lobster and then the agnolotti appetizer, as well as the fired green tomato and burrata. All 3 were out of this world. Fried green tomato's with a nice chilled burrata... ahh I can't wait for more. Their menu is impressively diversified making me want to come back to try everything on it. Great experience from top to bottom. And once again, thanks to our server Lauren!

10/10 Experience! From the moment we walked in, we were acknowledged and treated like VIPs. One of the owners even came over to introduce himself--he pulled out my chair like a true gentleman and waited for me to sit. Our waitress was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The food was great, and every employee we interacted with was warm, present, and professional. Overall, an outstanding experience. Highly recommend this location!

Had an early Monday dinner at 5ish so no wait, even gave us a table by the window. Both of our dinners were superb. We had Short Rib pappardelle and Chicken Schnitzel with spätzle., Short rib is melt in your mouth tender with the right amount of fat(not all lean meat), pasta cooked al dente w/a slight chew--the butter, cheese and rib sauce were all incorporated well and absorbed into the pasta! My chicken breast was pounded out to the right 'thickness' to be still moist after frying and the Meyer lemon butter sauce is quite fragrant. The spätzle pasta is not mushy even after stir frying with a medley of fresh vegetables. Tasty dish. Staff from hostess to waitstaff to bus staff are all efficient and displayed great teamwork. Tables are not crowded together, elegant, chic vibe. Kudos to the Chef for his attention to detail and putting love into his cooking. Highly recommend...wish we lived in Cali.

From the…read moremoment you step inside, you are greeted by an adorable interior and decor that cleverly and beautifully matches the restaurant's theme. Every single item we ordered from the menu was exceptional: Beet Salad & Bone Marrow: Both made for fantastic starters, setting a high bar for the meal. Beef Tartare: Served with house-made potato chips that are a masterclass in texture--thin, fried, airy, and crispy all at the same time. Steak and Fries: Classic execution and wonderfully prepared. Duck Confit: Superb. The pairing of the rich mole sauce and sweet potato puree takes the dish to an entirely different level, complementing each other effortlessly. Baklava Cheesecake: A creative and delicious twist on a classic. The cream cheese filling is light rather than dense, and instead of a traditional graham cracker crust, it features a fantastic baklava crust. It is nicely balanced and not overly sweet, though you will definitely want to pair it with a cup of coffee to finish it off. Service: The staff is exceptionally friendly, highly attentive, and organized, making you feel well cared for throughout the meal. Portions: Portions are slightly on the smaller side. My husband and I ordered three appetizers and two main entrees to share, and we were still quite hungry by the end--so you may want to order an extra dish or side if you have a hearty appetite! Overall, a wonderful dining experience with incredible flavors and charming ambiance. It has this warm, cozy European feel that almost makes you feel like you've stepped into a little farmhouse somewhere in Tuscany. Our waiter was amazing. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but he was impossible to miss -- probably 6'7", muscular, bodybuilder-looking guy -- and despite looking like he could bench press the entire restaurant, he was incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Seriously great service. They also offered decanter service for our wine, which was an unexpected and really nice touch. It added a little sophistication to the experience without the restaurant ever feeling stuffy or overly formal. Most importantly, the food was amazing. Between the food, the wine service, the atmosphere, and how friendly the staff was, this place really impressed me. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to, especially for a comfortable date night or a nice dinner when you want something that feels a little more intimate and unique.

Seems like a good place for regulars as I heard people laughing in the back and as some left they told us how amazing everything was. Unfortunately, I just don't think the food was as amazing as they thought. Both the cabbage and carrots just didn't have crisp or caramelization for something roasted I think both could have done better with a longer amount of time for better crispiness. The cabbage in general I actually can't recommend, a hassle to cut, very mushy, and overall not the best tasting? The carrots definitely also had a taste to them that I believe some people could like, but were also not for me (a pickle lover). Both dishes were also extremely acidic, think the cabbage could have done better with a cream based sauce on top. The carrots being acidic makes sense since they're pickled though. The steak sandwich was very good, however, nice price and good taste. Wish there were some leafy greens with it (why I ordered the cabbage). This place seems like a hoot and a holler for some people. The servers were nice and the food was all right but there are many other acceptable options for food in the area.

Every time we visit Costa Mesa, this Mediterranean restaurant is a must-stop for us. We've been…read moreloyal customers for years, and it's always a pleasure to return. The service is one of the many reasons we keep coming back. The servers recognize us and greet us like old friends, making every visit feel warm and personal. What makes this place even more special is that it's a family-owned business. The owners are often present, personally welcoming guests and ensuring everyone has a great dining experience. Their hospitality creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers returning time and time again. My go-to meal is the Boneless Chicken Kabab served with basmati rice and a fresh Mediterranean salad. The chicken is incredibly flavorful, well marinated, and cooked to perfection every single time. I honestly don't know their secret, but the chicken is always juicy and tender, never dry like many other kabab places we've tried. Consistency is hard to find and they absolutely nail it. Another favorite of ours is the Koobideh Combo, which includes both Beef and Chicken Koobideh Kababs served with Mediterranean salad and your choice of basmati rice or rice mixed with lentils and raisins. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and every bite is satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. It's no surprise that so many customers become regulars. The restaurant is usually packed during lunchtime, which speaks volumes about its popularity. We typically arrive around 11:30 AM to beat the lunch rush and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. If you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food, friendly service, generous portions, and great value, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's one of those hidden gems that keeps us coming back every time we're in Costa Mesa.

The lunch crowd wasn't too busy the day I visited. Got a combo plate. The food portion was good. Overall, the Koobideh was seasoned and cooked well. Will have to come back to try other dishes.
