Duck wings, fries with truffle, rich girl cocktail

I used to frequent this restaurant years ago and will not be returning. Here's a generous 3 stars. For nostalgia, my partner and I decided to drop in for cocktails and snacks early in the evening. We sat at the bar and after I order a cocktail a literal paper plane lands in the chair next to me- the host stand threw it not sure why especially at a restaurant with $17 cocktails.. super classy. The staff is chattering like there isn't a single customer around, but there were a few tables seated and a couple of us at the bar. The bartenders were fine and attentive, but admittedly didn't recall how to make a drink that was once a popular on the menu. Thank you for "bringing back the duck wings" because they were the highlight. The fries we got looked like they were scraped from the bottom of the bag, so small you had to eat them with a fork (think the size of your fingernail). Rosè was just fine. Like others have written this place is mid. Highly recommend updating the menu, shape up the staff, and maybe don't charge so much for being basic

Service is 5 stars but food was 3 stars. I think it may be because I had very high expectations prior to visiting the restaurant. I wanted to take my friend out for a belated birthday dinner and we both wanted to try somewhere new. Both of the entrees were just too salty. The salad was drenched in dressing so it felt really heavy when it should have been a refreshing dish. Service was fantastic though: special shoutout to Amber who was very outgoing and helpful. I'm definitely going to give this restaurant another chance next time but may possibly try other entrees and ask for lighter salt.

Great restaurant that focuses on new American located in a busy strip mall in Newport Beach. The vibes here feel like they're casual enough to have a fun night out or drinks with friends and upscale enough to be a nice date night or a place to have a celebratory meal. The folks and service here were amazing. My friend had her dog with her and we were looking for a place to grab a bite on the later side. We checked to see if they would accommodate us since they had a patio area. And they did! I'm not sure if it's their usual policy, but that was very kind of them and I was excited to get my eat on. I ended up ordering the schnitzel and a beer. I think the schnitzel is one of their more popular items and I haven't had one in a while. I thought it was delicious. Really hit the spot and great rec from the waiter. Overall, just a great place to dine at multiple times a week if you live in the area or fitting for lots of different occasions. We walked over here with the pup, but the place feels like parking shouldn't be a problem.

The service here was truly exceptional, and the staff made us feel very well taken care of throughout the evening. I also really enjoyed the ambiance and the live music--it created a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. While the food didn't quite meet my personal expectations, that may come down to individual taste. The halibut was a bit dry for me, and the pastas felt more subtle in flavor than I tend to prefer. That said, the overall experience was pleasant thanks to the wonderful service and setting, even if the menu itself wasn't a standout for me.

This restaurant is fantastic. The staff is so helpful and personable and knows about the food any questions you'd have. The portions here for the price you pay is definitely worth it! You will not leave hungry. The focaccia bread and the pumpkin Agnelli are amazing starters. The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster papperdelle pasta is truly delicious. Dessert I cannot even begin to start with how delicious it was. The cheesecake is so fresh the texture and the taste is just right. The blanc cookies with gelato are paired perfectly. The restaurant has been expanded and is decorated very cute especially for Christmas.

Great date night. Booth in the back corner, service wasn't great because it was close to closing time. Cheesecake with blackberry compote was excellent. Amazing crab cakes, but very different from the Maryland style I'm used to.

What a great spot in Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area. The ambiance is outstanding. A very elegant feel inside the restaurant but comfortable for all to enjoy. Service was outstanding. Bartender was on point with drink selections. And the drinks were well made!!! Not an overwhelming number of selections because the restaurant definitely puts an emphasis on quality or quantity which is well appreciated. Food came out hot and fresh. Brussel sprouts with pork belly was out of this world. Highly recommend. Caesar salad had a great dressing and fresh lettuce that made it tasty. Meatball was gigantic, tender, and had a very good flavor. Highly recommend a visit. No one will be disappointed.

This review is a bit late but nonetheless, warranted. Amazing experience just before Valentine's Day weekend and the food and drinks were top tier. The hardest part was picking food items on their menu. Luckily our server, Lauren, graciously guided us through the menu and helped me select options suited for my requests. Her knowledge of the menu was thoroughly impressive. We got the weekend chef special of the filet with lobster and then the agnolotti appetizer, as well as the fired green tomato and burrata. All 3 were out of this world. Fried green tomato's with a nice chilled burrata... ahh I can't wait for more. Their menu is impressively diversified making me want to come back to try everything on it. Great experience from top to bottom. And once again, thanks to our server Lauren!

10/10 Experience! From the moment we walked in, we were acknowledged and treated like VIPs. One of the owners even came over to introduce himself--he pulled out my chair like a true gentleman and waited for me to sit. Our waitress was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. The food was great, and every employee we interacted with was warm, present, and professional. Overall, an outstanding experience. Highly recommend this location!

Had an early Monday dinner at 5ish so no wait, even gave us a table by the window. Both of our dinners were superb. We had Short Rib pappardelle and Chicken Schnitzel with spätzle., Short rib is melt in your mouth tender with the right amount of fat(not all lean meat), pasta cooked al dente w/a slight chew--the butter, cheese and rib sauce were all incorporated well and absorbed into the pasta! My chicken breast was pounded out to the right 'thickness' to be still moist after frying and the Meyer lemon butter sauce is quite fragrant. The spätzle pasta is not mushy even after stir frying with a medley of fresh vegetables. Tasty dish. Staff from hostess to waitstaff to bus staff are all efficient and displayed great teamwork. Tables are not crowded together, elegant, chic vibe. Kudos to the Chef for his attention to detail and putting love into his cooking. Highly recommend...wish we lived in Cali.

This restaurant is beautiful inside. As soon as you walk in, it's dim and romantic. It wasn't very busy so the noise level was perfect. The gentleman hosting was very welcoming when we walked in and made us feel the service was going to be amazing.... We sat down and looked at the menu briefly, our server came within 3min to ask if we were ready to order but we still hadn't looked at the menu throughly so we asked for some waters and a few more minutes. Unfortunately our server Taylor was not as welcoming or helpful. He came back with our waters, asked if we were ready, so we ordered. I got the 45 Day Aged 22oz Bone in Ribeye Steak and before I ordered it, I asked Taylor if he could change the blue cheese mashed potatoes for the melted garlic & crème fraiche potatoes. He assured me he'd change it for my dish.... Unfortunately my plate was dropped off and I couldn't really tell that the blue cheese mashed potatoes weren't the melted garlic & crème fraiche potatoes, until he walked away... We waited for about 10min and he could not be seen.. We wanted to order drinks but he never returned after dropping off our plates. He left for 20min and never came back to check on our drinks or to ask how the food was. When he finally returned, he did ask how our food was and I did say my steak was good but I didn't get a chance to eat the melted garlic & crème fraiche potatoes I had ordered. I might have been wrong so I asked him to see the potatoes on my plate to see if they were the blue cheese mashed potatoes or the melted garlic & crème fraiche potatoes... He said they were the blue cheese mashed potatoes... He then asked if I wanted him to take them back to the kitchen but at that point, my steak was fairly cold. He didn't seem apologetic and then asked if we were ready for the check. I was ready to call it a night... I'll share photos of our food because I did like the steak and the person at the door. I wish I could've enjoyed my steak with the side dish I requested. As we were leaving, the gentleman at the door was very kind and told us he hoped we'd come back.

Upon arriving, the restaurant was very gracious to bestow upon us a pair of complimentary lemon and thyme dinner rolls. They were warm, fluffy, and everything a carb should be. Honestly wish we had more of them, to be honest! The menu was short, which was helpful in its own way. I have such chronic decision paralysis, meaning the more options I have, the more ordering conflicts I'll have, lol. Forever petitioning for every establishment to have tasting flights!!!! We ordered the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor and Ora King Salmon entrees. The octopus was a unique take on the dish, but I don't think I would order it again. I was hoping for more sauce and flavor, but it was more of a dry dish. Still something everyone should try at least once -- especially because feedback is subjective and my experience may not be yours! My friend enjoyed the salmon dish, but it looked pretty standard to me. They also brought out a complimentary Epresso Creme Brulee for my birthday, which was both figuratively and literally sweet. Very decadent and kinda had a nice tiramisu taste to it -- order this! The service was excellent and very attentive. Was very hydrated during this meal because my water cup was never empty! I would come back to try the other dishes with a larger group so I can pick at everyone else's plates, hehehe.
