This place has pretty good pizza, but I think that there is something strange going on with the 'tax' that they are charging. I got a slice of pizza and it was $2.95 before tax. After tax, the bill came to over 4 dollars. When I had inquired about this, I was told that there was a small charge for using a credit card, but that just this once it would be waived. After it was waived, my total came to $3.86. Now I'm not a mathematician, but Florida sales tax (6%) on $2.95 should be around 20 cents. Where the other 71 cents comes from...I have no clue, but didn't argue. I would be careful and do the math yourself when ordering and I hope an employee isn't skimming. read more

This place has such a good family vibe! Everyone was so sweet. First off, it's in the same plaza as the Citgo; so don't pass it. We ordered a tossed salad, personal Bianca pizza and personal mushroom pizza. They tossed in some zeppoles too. Those reminded me of a funnel cake. Salad was great, perfect amount of toppings and I loved the dressing. Very fresh. Pizzas were good but a little on the doughy side and not cooked to a crisp so if you're into that be sure to specify. If I ordered the Bianca pizza again, I would probably add some garlic. On the other pizza, I wish the mushrooms were fresh, you could tell they were from a can (maybe bc of covid). My wife and I are visiting from Massachusetts and ordered the cheese pie from Nick's twice during our stay. We also ordered garlic knots and buffalo wings. The pizza is extremely delicious. The sauce is perfect and the cheese is darn near perfect as well. The crust is really good maybe just a touch on the doughy side as I prefer a bit more crisp. Regardless this pizza is fantastic. I had never been there before but seen it on YELP before and I noted that pizza was purchased by the slice which is rare. I was in the area picking up a honeybaked ham so I walked up to the window counter and just started chatting with the two gentlemen in there and they kindly told me what they had available or what else they could do for me. Then offered me a drink to accompany my 2 slices and even read the labels to me and told me what was in it because they had specialty drinks that sounded ethnic which I love. Next time I will definitely bring my husband so he can get one of those fun island type drinks with his slices of pizza as well. We may make it over as soon as this weekend. This is a little hidden gem in the altamonte area. Best pizza in a 20 mile radius. It is a walk up counter in a building that sits in a gas station parking lot. There are a few tables outside if you just want to grab a slice or a sub. But they offer delivery and it's always faster than expected. The dough is just the right kind of chewy and just the right amount of a good homemade sauce. They also do an amazing Grandma's pizza. If you're going for a slice those run out early so call ahead. OMG....if you dont stop here for a slice or a beef patty YOU ARE MISSING OUT MAJORLY!! Today the hubs and I drove up for their special 2 slice and a drink special w/ a beef patty on the side. First, the lady that came to the window to take my order was wearing a mask...yes!!! Nick (owner) was making the pies and he too was wearing a mask. They have a nice seating area where you can eat outside or you can park your car in a parking spot and eat right in your car. Now....the pizza. Lord have mercy for local pizza shops that get it right!!!! Nick's got it right! Crispy not soggy, dough is thin and the crust is doughy and perfectly cooked. We ordered 2 more slices and we also tried the cannoli which was perfect! Made fresh!!! Ooh and the beef patty..that was crispy and perfect!! To-GO was had the zeppoles which we highly recommend also. They never made it home. Perfection in a bag! We are definitely coming back to Nick's probably in a few days!! Yummy!!
