Ordered a large pizza and had to wait 40 minutes before walking up to the counter and asking where my order was- they even asked what I was waiting for lmfao! when I said the name, they gave me a lukewarm pizza that was sitting on the oven for prob 10-15 minutes. Dude said "sorry my guys forgot" and then put the pizza down, saw it was crap and then TOOK it back! I ordered the fisherman's platter and it was DELICIOUS and so cheap. This is the first fisherman's platter that I have had that had fried lobster. They give you so much seafood that they put it in a seafood box- I shared with my mom and sister and we still had leftover. One of my favorite things about coming to New England is eating seafood and I think I just found a new spot. I did take one star off because the website said they deliver within a five mile radius but when I called they said only 3.5 miles- it was less than a 15 minute drive from me but I think they should update that on their website. read more

Called to at-least get my onions rings and they are saying I didn't order onion rings and I ordered baked not fried. I was looking directly at my order and seen what I ordered. I have never been more disrespected by a "manager" of a restaurant for a mistake that was not my fault on a delivery order. This manager was inappropriate and unprofessional in confronting me over wanting my $4 refund on the part of the order that was incorrectly made on their end. When I didn't order grilled chicken on my pizza, he wanted to force me to admit that it is what I ordered. I returned the whole incorrectly made pizza in exchange for the correct order and he still failed to refund me. Instead decided to yell at me through the phone about the miscommunication. I have been a 6 year old customer with them and the one time there was a mistake on my order, for him to treat me that way was completely uncalled for. It is sad because I was truly a regular. Stopped off at Nick's Place the other day to get a ham and cheese sub. It is my favorite place to get a quick meal for a reasonable price. I would like to add to ham and cheese sub was delicious. I had my meal inside because of the torrential rain that was coming down. The only negative thing I can think of was the flu it was kind of slippery but to be honest I don't know if it was the tile on my shoes or a combination of both. Food is very good. Drivers are dumber than rocks. I once had them deliver me my food over a fence because they were so far off. They also advertise on things like eat24 and grubhub then cancel your order for being out of range. So its basically a bunch of losers that make good food. Edit: Read some more reviews and realize they seem to be scamming people with phone apps. It seems like they post a wide radius and just cancel orders if they happen to be busy. BUYER BEWARE: On 6/21/18 I saw they were newly listed on my Grub Hub. I thought I'd had a sub from them at Aunt Barbara's so I ordered. I got a steak tip dinner for that night and got a "sliced roast beef dinner" for lunch the next day. The menu describes the beef as slices of roast beef with mashed potatoes, gravy & garlic bread for $12.99. They delivered my a large roast beef sandwich & steak fries. I called them. The kid who answered listened to me explain that I'd ordered the dinner and got a sandwich. He asked me wasn't the rosy beef sliced. So I read him his own menu description from Grub Hub. I pointed out no mashed, no gravy, no garlic bread. And who creates a menu where you get a sandwich on a sesame seed roll with a side of bread? Garlic or otherwise? He put me on hold. I waited. A man gets on the phone. I explained shaves on a roll vs sliced w mashed and gravy. He apologized several times. Said he could give me a credit. Next time I order call and ask for him. I said that's fine and he's off the phone before I can get his name. I figure he's either the Thursday manager or Nick. So on 6/28/18 I order via Grub Hub so I can use my debit card, leaving the credit til next time. Grub Hub calls me. Nick's called them asked them to cancel the order because I'm just outside the delivery area. "Really?" I said to her. I ordered on the 21st and they messed up my order." I told her the above & she said let me call them and call you back. Fine. She calls back. They adamantly deny ever delivering to me & know nothing about any credit. Now I'm pissed. It's not the food or the money. Now it's the principle. You can call me fat, ugly, stupid, short - you name it. But don't you EVER call me a liar! This is how you run a business?! I said to the woman at Grub Hub "you have my account up. Look at the history. The time before last where did I order?" She tells me Nick's and sees my order, the $12.99 - you name it. Went back to Nick's because my friend really wanted to. Again we were overcharged. So there is no way this is a coincidence. They have a price on the menu (which is new) yet when I get there it is 90 cents higher and the tax goes on that higher amount. I asked and got a dirty look then another worker said there must have been a mistake. Yeah right. Everyone has to make a living, I get it- but overcharging customers is not the way to do it. Said I had to choose a side, rice? or mixed veggies. So I rarely review a take out restaurant because I rarely eat fast food or take out but wow we love Nicks. Since we've moved to the burbs we have been getting nicks like once per week. It's soo delicious, tastes fresh and they package everything so nicely! We've never had an order incorrect and they're always amicable. I keep saying wow I need to write a review but today I was pushed over the edge I tried one of their cookies and it was amaaaazing. The calzones and melanzane pizza are favorites. I have been a valued customer for nick's in saugus ma for many years., the past three months they can never get our order correct even after I have them repeat it. Tonight it happened again. I called to let them know I got the wrong order I was told to give the food back to delivery driver I said what are you going to do with that food hopefully not give it to someone else!!!!! No apology or anything! I don't expect to get anything for free but how many times can you mess up an order? Well things have changed, the boyfriend I mentioned in my previous review is now my husband and we moved to Saugus! So more Nick's place! Seriously, half the reason we moved to Saugus was for this place. We legit order from Nick's at least once a week, but I think our record is three times in one week (we had just moved - don't judge). The thing about Nick's that amazes me is how EVERYTHING we have tried has been awesome. It is hard to find a place that can do everything well. We have had their pizza (ex. cheese is still the fave, but the meat lover's is a close second), subs (steak bomb and pastrami), cheese burger plates, steak fries, calzones, chicken wings, etc. All AWESOME!
