I've been to this place a few dozen times over the years. Each time I've asked for a slice of tomato pie (which they claim to sell!). I have NEVER successfully ordered a piece of tomato pie. They always say that they are out of it. I think it's an inside joke of some kind. Their regular pizza is pretty good, though! Nice large slices. Usually six or seven different types of pizza to choose from. I'm going to keep asking for the tomato pie. This place caters to the drunk crowd. 2am you're hungry and you need a little sustenance before hopping in the cab home. In that case, order anything. But do NOT order the HOT pizza. They say they'll need you to sign a waiver before you eat it. But when there's a long line of drunk people wanting pizza, who's really gonna sign a waiver?!!! And we didn't. So I ate some of the hot pizza and I'm thinking.... wow, this is really hot and there's no water. This is really mean spirited of the proprietor to make this super hot and spicy pizza and pawn it off on a bunch of drunk ass people. When you're drunk, of course you're gonna have beer/drunk muscles/goggles and say, f&$k yeah, I can eat this hot sh1t and I'll sign the non existent waiver. Bottom line, if you're making money off a bunch of drunk people, don't make fun of them. Don't serve them something that you know they can't eat and regret when they are paying the price at their visit to the porcelain goddess. Fantastic pizza and the Manager Dave is one of the most genuine, nice guys I have had the pleasure of meeting. If you want the best, order a fresh pizza and not slices. The slices are great, don't get me wrong, but when the pizza comes straight out of the over there is something magical about it. The sauce is consistently delicious, although there are definitely two varieties you will notice. One sauce is a little saltier and one is a little sweeter, but both of them are superior to anything else you will try. Also, don't miss out on their Pesto Ricotta pizza. The pesto is not overly bitter and it is just all around well done. I love these guys and they are in walking distance from my work so it is nice to go there for a slice on my lunch break. read more

Awesome pies! Big slices and the right amount of crust, not too thin and not too thick. My favorite is their garlic but most of their specialty pizzas are great. They don't have wings everyday which is a disappointing and I don't think they have salads either but standing on their pizza alone I give them 5 stars. read more

This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. Nick's is located right next to a dance club in Armory and is open late into the night so the crowds have somewhere to go. Drunk, the pizza is the best thing in the world. Sober, it's still awesome. The ingredients are fresh (the mozzarella sits, freshly shredded, in a tub), the sauce is spicy and delicious, and the pizza comes to you straight out of the oven. I'm not excited about the decor or the seating, but I'm still giving this place a five stars because the pizza is just THAT GOOD. read more

I ordered the ricotta deluxe pizza with veggies, and 10 hot wings, I ordered it through grub hub. It was really good but the reason I gave it 3 stars was it was delivered much later than it was supposed to be, the pizza was not hot enough and fresh most likely because of this, and the wings were not as fresh as well, slightly on the soggy side. However, it was all still delicious, after I warmed up some of the pizza in the oven, it regained its quality. Definitely a solid pizza spot, but it needs to work on its delivery game, and making certain aspects and details with a bit more care. I'm still a fan, but there is some room for improvement, but absolutely delicious non the less. read more

Disgusting racist people working behind the counter.. came in waited half an hour to get food they refused to serve me anything else but pizza with pork in it, even though they had cheese pizza and other pizza without pork in it available. I think it's ridiculous because they wanna say it's because they're saving the pizza for they're employees but why have people wait in line over an extended period of time, be rude to them for no reason, then tell them to leave because there is nothing they can do, even though they told me while waiting, it was available. This place closed down for awhile because of renovations or something else they wanna say, I believe it's because of the dirty environment and the petty employees that work there. There should be some decent people there to be acceptable to people who are not under the influence, intoxicated and serve those with respect especially after being closed due to the exact reasons. read more

Often would go to Nick's after downtown festivities - until now... An employee working behind the cash register decided to throw a tip on my bill (without my knowledge) and tell me that he had already closed the transaction (couldn't give me my receipt). I've gone here twice the first time was great! And the second was on New Year's Eve (12-31-15) I ordered a chicken wing pizza and the gentlemen said it was more spicy than a regular chicken wing pizza. I ordered it anyways thinking it was going to be just that. One bite and I was crying! I can't do too spicy and that was overkill. It had to be made with ghost chili peppers or something because it was bad even for the spicy food lovers I was with. Come to find out later, that same gentlemen was laughing at all the people trying to eat this slice of pizza.
