There are tables outside, so my girlfriend and I ordered takeout and ate at an outside table that was in the shade. We shared a chili dog, a texas tommy, and an oreo cookies and cream milkshake. The chili dog was just Ok. A good dog with chili that didn't add as much flavor as I expected. The texas tommy was better, as it's hard to go wrong with a dog wrapped in bacon with cheese. But I have had better. The oreo cookies and cream milkshake was good, but not good enough for us to actually finish it. If I had kids Nifty Fifties would be a nice spot to grab food for the family. HOWEVER, I got the mushroom Swiss cheesesteak and I ate half at work, I bit into something gritty, I just thought "oh could be a peppercorn", wrong! It was tiny bones! It was bearable eating half at work, but when I got home and ate the rest, the bone pieces that I bit into just got bigger! Like wtf?! Each bite I take there's another big piece of bone. Seriously?! Delicious food and shake. This was the first time I ever had Nifty Fifty's and I have to say it's really good. I order the mushroom burger and peanut butter banana shake; my friend had the royal and we split an order of fries and onion rings. Everything was good, everything you would expect from a burger. Onion rings were huge and fries were also well seasoned. The shake was really good and thick; they didn't skim on the ice cream and you can taste the chunks of bananas. Price wise, it's not your McDonald burger price but it's also expected, so, no complaints. When I went the place only takes order through the windows but the experience was pleasant from ordering to picking up the food. HOWEVER, the down fall is the order fulfillment itself. I would HIGHLY recommend checking your order before leaving so save you from disappointment if anything was wrong. The burger I ordered was missing all of the toppings I asked for in the exception of the bacon and I was given, fried onions which I didn't ask for. This was a kitchen issue because the person that took the order, repeated the whole order and it was correct. I'm still giving this place 4 stars for now because taste and service wise it was really good. I've given this location a chance 4 times now, and I never wrote a review until now because I believe post Covid hiccups are a thing in the food industry, and that I needed to have some sympathy. After tonight I won't be returning unless I'm in the mood for one of their S'mores milkshakes and feel like waiting a half hour for it. Seriously, the food isn't worth it at all. Just go for the milkshakes. Not only is the clientele extremely obnoxious (every time I've embarked on waiting for over 30min for any size order I've ever placed, I've witnessed some extremely obnoxious patrons just screaming and being insanely rude to the staff). So, it's already a hostile environment, which is obviously uncomfortable. One of the worst parts about visiting this NF location, is that you will not wait for less than 30min for your order regardless if you ordered a single soda, or a full meal. The second (and main) worst part is that all of the food is really terrible. Literally everything I've ordered from them over the past year has been barely edible. Just get the milkshakes if you really need to go here. Also, pro tip: if you order a cheeseburger, it is literally a burnt burger patty with a slice of cheese on top. Nothing else. Make sure you ask for something else on it if you don't just want a patty and cheese on a dry bun. But keep in mind that if you ask for say, lettuce and tomato, after getting your order - you will wait another 10-15min for that side of condiments that should have come on the burger automatically.
