Great spot for local coffee & snacks! There's parking in the lot out front as well as on the street. I came in on a Wednesday around noon, and it was pretty full but not packed. I enjoyed my iced snickerdoodle latte, although it didn't blow me away. I was surprised to see they still had the winter seasonal drinks when it's 75 degrees today - I was feeling something spring-y! I'll definitely come back to try more of the drink menu. The beef empanada with cilantro sauce was mmm mmm delicious. I believe these come from Manolo's, an amazing local bakery. The seating options include many 2-seaters as well as a couch area and some outdoor tables. There was also a high chair available for my little one! I saw folks working and taking it easy. My partner and I came in on a Saturday and got banana bread lattes. I got a hot one and he got a cold one. Not pictures - we also got a piece of pumpkin bread that we demolished. It was so good! We love our coffees as well. They're on the fall seasonal menu. The staff were friendly as well. The coffees are a bit pricey - I believe they were $7.25 each for the seasonal options. The ambiance is great. It feels like you're sort of in a small town coffee shop. The vibes are great inside and out. I'd love to come back and do work here. The area has a brewery and pizza place. Night Swim was a super cute place! I visited a couple weeks ago after going to the farmers market. I can't remember exactly what I got but it was a seasonal latte. The mug was sooo adorable. While I was there, there were people working, podcasting, and groups talking so it seems like a great place to get work done and it not be too noisy. The service was quick as well. The person that rang me up seemed a little distracted when taking my order but I'm sure they just had a lot going on. I would definitely go back after another market day! read more

Running my morning errands and spotted this bookmark as I yawned. Time for a coffee break. Cool vibe here with tables all about and a big "community" table in the center. A friendly barista took my order and while I got settled onto their wifi, my name was called. Yes, that's my cortado. Served in the proper short glass, half espresso and half steamed milk. Same great caffeine boost but with less milk. Delicious! I stayed for a bit to write this review and will do a couple of others before continuing my Saturday morning errands. A good spot to get some laptop done, though with the background music and the sound of coffee being made, probably not ideal for Zoom meetings. I'm a fan of Not Just Coffee, so when I heard Night Swim is their new concept with Undercurrent I knew it would be good. I decided to try a new flavor instead of my regular caramel flavor. I went with Maple Cardamom, it's $1 extra, which was the most expensive. It's $.75 extra for all other flavors. It's so good though. Very worth it! read more

Ayyyeee!!! This place made my day!!! When you walk in you are greeted by the scents of Heaven!! It's amazing. Next the barista, not sure of her name was she was super sweet and gave me patience and explanation when ordering. The restrooms are gender neutral, safe, fully stocked and clean. Then the roaster/machines on the side I found super intriguing and Rory- thank you so much, what an awesome human! Explained coffee and the process in detail that I could understand- it was definitely an intro, but extremely interesting nevertheless and allowed me to take some photos and video. The food and drinks were delicious. My partner had a blueberry muffin and I had the cereal milk matcha latte- so so sooo good. I asked for whipped cream as I was comparing to Starbucks- silly old me- Night Swim puts Starbucks to shame!!! One sip and no whipped cream necessary like literally so good!! The blue berry muffin is vegan- matter of fact I think everything is vegan there and my friend didn't save me any- it was that good! lol.. i also had the everything bagel and seasonal chive cream cream. The bagel was a bit salty, but i like salt so that works for me. Someone else may say otherwise so heads up for that. The cream cheese was very fresh and spot on- rivals New York Bagel Shop cream cheese!! Kudos!! Thank you for making my day! So glad we decided to take the detour on the way to work!! The coffee bean selection amazing! Pumped to get a bag of the Worka Sakaro Natural Anaerobic beans!!! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The seating area is comfortable and well spaced. This 1-star review is for the overly tight ownership/management. I've been to this location 3 times in the past two weeks. This morning was the worst of all. One person opening (who was amazing and stayed calm and friendly): you offer pour overs at this location which is why I make the drive to this location; you accept online orders with Odeko (two orders came in while I waited), and there were 10 people in the cafe by the time I left with my pour over. I hope you can do better and not be so stingy with your pay or labor so that people will want to work at such an amazing coffee shop, that you can continue to offer pour overs, and you can still have pick up ordering (such a cool feature for a local coffee shop!!!), and get up to a 5-star rating which this place should be. read more

I liked this place and probably will come back. Im working remotely. I had a coffee which was pretty good and a bagel that was toasted but cold when I was served (which was weird). The coffee is really expensive. I ordered a latte at first but they made me something else because the latte tasted nothing like coffee ... it was so weird. Service was nice, the girl really explained the mission and said she loved working for the company. That was nice to hear! The cafe itself had the modern minimalist (super minimal) vibe. Big banquet seating which was nice. Big windows were nice too. The only downside is it closes at 3pm... not even a full work day which is problematic for me. Also it was freezing cold in there. I like the layout of Night Swim and the overall vibe of the place. The staff was friendly. But on my order today, a nitro cold brew, the flavor good, but there was basically no nitro - it was flat. So I paid extra for the nitro and basically got a cold brew. Hopefully it was a one-off experience and my next experience here will be great. read more

My boyfriend and I have made it a hobby to try out new coffee shops on the weekends around Charlotte to try the different coffees around town. Hands down Night Swim has the best coffee we have tried to where we keep going back almost every weekend (and have not tried new coffee places since). The people that work there are super nice and help contribute to the positive and chill atmosphere. My 5 stars are reflective on the sole rating of the coffee. Something I want for them to improve on is more food options (which I know they have started to do at the bank of America location), but I go there for the coffee and recommend that others go with this expectation in mind. To be fair, the food they have is good, I would just like something more than bagels and pastries because I don't like starting the day with those kind of carbs. read more

Literally the worst service in all of Charlotte coffee houses. Unprofessional and no sense of customer service- or just simply taking an order and handing you a drip coffee. The location is great coupled with a large working space. I haven't tried the food, however the coffee is very good. The only issue is the price. Expect to pay around $6-8 for a drink, which isn fairly small in size. The service is good, however I've noticed some of their employees have been pretty sick working behind the counter. A little strange, but all in all their coffee itself is great. With all the new building going up and coffee shops going in below almost all of them, I'd imagine they'll realize their pricing structure needs reevaluating. read more
