Love this coffee spot and now even more that I found out it is pet friendly! I've tried a few different coffees here but my favorite so far is the winter spice because it has a little bit of chai flavor to it. The inside of this location is smaller but great for to go orders of small groups to dine in! Super convenient location with plenty of parking! The employees are always super nice and helpful with placing orders!

This coffee shop located in Charlotte offers quality coffee. The coffee is hand roasted in small batches with state of the art equipment. I had the Chai Tea and others in my group had the coffee. With several location in the Charlotte, NC area. This relaxed coffeehouse also offers tea, breakfast sandwiches, pastries and snacks. Open M-F 7-6 and Sat and Sun 8-6.

Just left and super unimpressed. I agree, this location seems like the customer is bothering them. I asked the barista or whomever she was for a second to look over the menu, as I have never been here before. She rolled her eyes. I didn't feel she was capable of answering basic questions about the products, so I got a rice Krispy treat and left. Ma'am- please find a different job- you should not work with the public.

Cute spot! Stopped in on my way to my pedicure and took the baristas recommendation from their summer menu- toasted coconut latte- so glad I did! Yummmmm

When I moved recently I knew I would have to seek out my new go to coffee shop. Thankfully I didn't have to search too far, as right around the corner on Park Road was this location of Waterbean Coffee. Waterbean is a local chain with several locations around North Carolina primarily in the Charlotte metro area. I have been by several of them but had never had a chance to try it. Having just moved to the neighborhood it seemed like a perfect opportunity, and I was immediately impressed! The coffee and the lattes come out great and the service is quick and friendly. This is probably one of their smallest locations as they only have a few seats indoors and a couple tables outside, but it's location along Park Road makes it perfect to grab an iced latte and enjoy a walk on a fine day, and there is also plenty of parking around back if you need to take it on the road. I am very high on this brand and look forward to trying other locations in the future.

Good location. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Bathroom gives severance vibes (iykyk if you've seen the show)

Another favorite spot for coffee in a conveniently located area. They have quite a few options for hot and cold brews and some pastries and food. I usually go for an oat milk latte with a glutten free cookie, and it's gets more delicious every time. Staff is always friendly. There is a parking garage that recently started charging for parking through an bar code displayed in signs. Good stuff!

Coffee and service was great! I got a salted caramel latte. Parking was free and easy to find. I enjoyed sitting outside on the porch.

Still exploring the new neighborhood, but stopped in today to check Waterbean out. I did not know there were so many locations (with the original in Huntersville). The location off of Park Road is super convenient with plenty of parking deck parking (behind the shop). There is a median, so if you are coming from uptown (northish) on Park, just drive past the location (will be on your left) and make a left at the light (Seneca) and come around the McAlisters & Public Storage in the back. Or just make a U-turn on Park - easy peasy. Nice outdoor patio and super clean/modern interior and easy going vibe inside. There's a handful of tables - Only one person enjoying coffee and one person with their laptop at the bar. COVID stuff: No signs on the door about masking, but I wore mine anyway. It was nice to see the staffers wearing their masks. For the most part, people coming in to pick up their orders were wearing masks too. Ordered a black iced coffee and the ultimate breakfast sandwich (bacon, over-easy egg, sundried tomatoes, arugula, swiss, light mayo based sauce on a brioche bun. YUM! The staffer made the sandwich fresh so there was a wait on it (very short) but well worth the wait. I got to hang out and soak in the vibe of the place and take my yelp photos. Lots of goodies and treats on the counter. Saw some vegan bread next to the assortment of macarons. Food menus look to be location dependent (based on what is available) so probably a nice rotation of goods and treats - I'm assuming locally sourced. Staffers are very quick and efficient and even brought my sandwich to me at the table I was sitting at (instead of yelling out a name). The coffee menu is a little intimidating. I'm mostly a black coffee person - but it looks like you can have coffee the way you want it here. My idea of adventure is maybe sticking the black coffee over ice. Great to have this in the neighborhood! I'll keep working my way through their breakfast sandwiches ... they also have lunch sandwiches too.

    That is all cold foam!

Ordered a cold Foam snickerdoodle latte and 75 percent of my drink was cold foam. I needed more coffee! What a disappointment.

Nice cozy little coffee shop that also have other morning pick me up options like the Nitro thai Latte and Chai Latte which were very yummy. The lady who took our order was nice and recommended the drink we ordered. The wait period was not long at all. Even the dogs love this spot cause they know it's a treat for them as well.

I love a good aesthetically pleasing cafe! Cute, clean location. Ordered the Volcano & it was a bit sweet but strong! Would recommend if you're in the mood for a mix of dark roast & condensed milk. SN: There is seating available on the outside & inside. Parking is available in the parking garage next to it.

Consistently welcoming service. A really chill and airy vibe. There's a wide variety of plant based milks which is refreshing. They introduced me to macadamia nut milk and I can't get enough of it! Not sure if other places in town are offering it yet. I've had a couple of mochas and a latte. They've all been very good and the perfect temperature. Covid friendly while the weather is still good with plenty of outdoor seating. This has easily become my favorite coffee spot on the south side.

They had offered samples of their lemon tart at the event, which stayed on my mind--so I came back and ordered the Lorraine-style quiche. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced by a fresh side salad. I paired it with a café au lait, which was equally well done. The ambiance is effortlessly chic--very much reminiscent of a European café--and it was lively during lunch. It's the kind of place where you can sit, linger, and people-watch... and SouthPark definitely showed up in style. At one point, several guests seated near us were speaking French, which added to the authenticity and overall experience. Service was warm and efficient, even with the crowd. The bakery itself is on the smaller side--you order inside and then head outside to sit and eat. I went on a Sunday, so it was very busy with a long line, but it moved quickly. When seating fills up, the neighboring restaurant allows use of their patio, which is a thoughtful touch. My friend enjoyed her quiche as well, and we both agreed it's a spot worth returning to--whether for a casual lunch, coffee, or a pastry break. I also order a few macarons to go and my family enjoyed them.

Review for Renaissance Patisserie…read more After relocating to Charlotte from San Francisco, one of the first things I searched for was a proper kouign-amann (pronounced queen-ah-mahn). It's a staple where I'm from, and when I discovered that Renaissance Patisserie carried it, I made the drive immediately. I'm happy to say--this place is the real deal. The kouign-amann here reminded me of the ones back in San Francisco. It wasn't quite as buttery or rich as some of the West Coast versions, but it was absolutely enjoyable--and most importantly, I finished every bite. That alone says a lot. Location & setting: Renaissance is tucked into the upscale specialty shops of SouthPark, in a lovely, polished shopping center surrounded by quality retailers like Williams Sonoma and several restaurants. Parking is plentiful and convenient, and once you step out of your car, you're welcomed into a charming outdoor courtyard that feels relaxed and refined. You'll immediately notice the bright yellow awning--it's cheerful and inviting--and inside, the bakery is just as charming. The black-and-white tile floors, small bistro tables, and beautifully arranged pastry case create a classic European feel. It's not a huge space--maybe six or seven tables--but it feels cozy, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. What makes it special: * A stunning pastry case filled with beautifully crafted desserts and laminated pastries * Skilled bakers and decorators--you can tell there's real craftsmanship behind the products * Friendly, efficient service * Apple Pay accepted (always appreciated) * Self-service water and condiments station * Clean, comfortable environment * A lovely outdoor patio that's perfect when the weather cooperates I do wish they occasionally experimented with more creative variations of the kouign-amann--perhaps seasonal fruit or specialty flavors--but even in its classic form, it's consistently a hit. I've brought these pastries to friends and gatherings, and they're always well received. What I appreciate most is that Renaissance delivers on quality and consistency. It may be a newer trend here in Charlotte, but these pastries have been a long-standing favorite in cities like San Francisco, and it's wonderful to see that level of craftsmanship available locally. Bottom line: Beautiful pastries, fair prices, great service, and a polished, welcoming atmosphere. This has become my go-to bakery in Charlotte, and if you appreciate well-made French pastries, you will not be disappointed.

The goods - we sampled a Yuzu tart (tasted like soap?!) and mango croissant (a bit of soapiness in this one too, oddly) a chocolate explosion croissant (best of what we tried and chocolate was evenly distributed) and one each of the pretzel shaped pastries (ok but nothing exciting and tasted bland).
