Very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Had a large party but the restaurant was not busy, had to wait over 45 min for a table. At that point we should have gone to another restaurant but we were willing to still give it a try. The food was subpar and one of the entrees came out after we finished eating so we did have one of our guests who was not able to eat with us. The server Chris did his best to accommodate and offered us a free dessert but the overall dine in experience was disappointing. The Italian restaurant next door to this called Sardella is a much better dine in experience and would recommend that option if you are in that area

Hands down the best pizza place in Newport, RI, and it is a true local staple with real - family owned - Newport history behind it. The crust has the perfect light crunch, the sauce tastes fresh and authentic, and every slice has a great balance of cheese to crust. The toppings are always fresh and flavorful without being greasy. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and you can tell they care about their customers. This is a Newport classic I'll keep coming back to and recommend to everyone I know. I saw a negative review, but I'm honestly glad I ignored it and listened to the positive reviews instead.

This is twice we've ordered takeout from this establishment. This time we picked it up. The staff were very friendly and it was nice inside. I liked the fact there was parking available. The pizza and wings were still so yummy. We added a house salad which was good and nicely packed for us. The chicken fingers were okay but my Aunt didn't care for the breading, we're good. We definitely enjoyed this pizzeria.

Caesar salad was good and fresh Chicken parmesan was ok, the meat and sauce was good, but a bit over fried. Came in on Wednesday and many dishes were 1/2 off. Everything here was less than $17 before tip At full price probably an overall 3 stars, but that was a good value so it gets 4

Third stop on an Aquidneck Island, Rhode Island, food fights, Lord of the pies excursion; my party and I sat down here mid afternoon on a bright sunny Sunday afternoon to try out their pizza which we got two cheeses. We found the sauce to be a little zesty than most places, and there was a good sampling of cheese on it, and the crust was mediocre. Not the best pizza place in Newport, but not the worst. Above average at best. The young waiter was attentive and helpful.

I would give it one star but the delivery was fast. We ordered since it was the only place open after 10 pm. We ordered chicken gyro. What we got was chicken tendered with French fries and a burnt pitta bread on top . (That's what they call a gyro!!!They need to reconsider how they describe food on their menu as what we received was nowhere near a gyro. Very dissatisfied as we really wanted to heat a gyro.

Every table and bar seat was packed so I highly recommend having a reservation or be prepared to wait a bit. The Romaine & Kale Caesar Salad with Chicken Milanese was genuinely tremendous. Such an elite combination from the freshness & creaminess of the salad to the crispiness and saltiness of the Chicken Milanese. Since we were sharing, they pre-split the portion for us which was a nice hassle-free experience. I could've honestly ended the meal here and been super content. I rarely see oven roasted pizza on the menu so we decided to try the Oven Roasted Chicken Grilled Pizza. The best part was actually the dough; it's thin enough where the roasted/grilled flavor comes through. The pesto and arugula were both good and paired well with the grilled chicken. The Tagliatelle was savory, earthy, and not overly creamy. The pasta itself was cooked just right. Since we were celebrating a birthday, I was so grateful that they offered us a complimentary slice of Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. It was so good! Moist, creamy, and not too sweet or citrusy. It was a pleasant bite to end the meal on. Great spot!

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

I loved everything about this restaurant except one thing, which I'll explain, and which caused 5…read morestars to become 4 stars (I wish I could just knock off a half star but that's not how it works, I guess): My next door neighbor Judi has a hobby of catching the Newport ferry from Providence, sometimes spending a few hours and coming back, or just staying on the boat and heading back, just so she can lean back in a seat and soak up the sun. Lately she'd been telling me about a chocolate martini from The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant, and being the martini and chocolate fan that I am, I simply had to experience it. So I finally got a day when I could join her on a trip, and so we went there on Labor Day. Once there, we walked right in at 11:30 am, and were seated immediately. The interior is fun and interesting -- antique this and that, including a huge iron door that looks like it went to a furnace, and had embossed lettering, I believe it was Newport Highschool. Perhaps the restaurant location is where the HS coal room was originally??? Anyway, one the way to the table, the hostess said something about the soup and salad bar being over there to my right, and so I went to check it out, and once I took a gander inside the two soup containers, I grabbed a bowl of Portuguese Kale Soup and brought it to the table. Judi said "That's all you're gonna get?" And I said "Of course not, I'll grab some salad and maybe get a sandwich or something." "Oh" she said, and then got up to check out the soup and salad bar herself. Meanwhile as I'm slurping the delicious, heart y soup, loaded with chourico, potatoes, carrots, kale, beans, etc., I'm perusing the menu and I notice that it says that if you purchase a sandwich of $9 or more then you get the soup and salad bar for $10, and then the soup and salad bar alone was $18. Okay, so perhaps I just wasn't thinking about the world in which I now live that basically has you paying for the bread basket you might get served. But again, the hostess just basically slurred out something about the soup and salad bar and my brain heard that it was complimentary. I honestly have to wonder if that's part of the trick(?) to get you to go for it, and not realize that it's considered a meal in itself, and then you order a sandwich or whatever, and now you're paying twice the amount you thought you'd be paying, but hey, it's Newport and people are spending $40 on a stupid baseball cap. And so, you know, if you end up having to pay a bit too much at a restaurant, you don't make a scene, you just say "Yeah, I meant to do that". Okay, I'm trying not to be sardonic here, trying not to sound like one of those "everybody's out to get me" kind of folks, so I'll just shut up at this point, on this particular point. I just hope that the owners and/or managers will inform the hostess to be a bit more clear on what the soup and salad bar actually means. That'd be nice. So there was no way I was buying a sandwich to go along with the soup and salad bar -- I simply cannot eat as much as I did when I was in my 20's and couldn't gain a pound if I ate all day long. I was able to (slightly) save face once Judi went for the soup and salad bar herself and was satisfied with the freshness and deliciousness thereof. But the piece de resistance, the very reason we both came to this establishment in the first place ... the chocolate martini! So this martini looks nothing like you'd expect as clear as water. I believe it's got a vodka base, and then some creme de cocoa, and is showered in grated chocolate flakes. It was absolutely splendid! Nice and boozy without being overpowering, and the flavor was amazing. And then for some strange reason, Judi is looking at the dessert menu. She reads of a few of them, asking me if I'd like something like that. I keep saying "I'm pretty full Jude", but she was persistent. She especially was taken with the Ghirardelli Fudge Brownie with 4 Scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream. She said "What if we can get them to split it in half on two separate plates?" I said "Ohhhhkaayyyyy..." And our waitress said "Absolutely!" She came back with two large portions (see attached photo ... just remember, that's a picture of HALF of the dessert serving!). Oh my word! It was large and quite yummy. A nice, crunchy and soft brownie made with Ghirardelli chocolate, with plenty of walnuts therein, two lovely scoops of ice cream, all drizzled with chocolate sauce. A splendid way to cap it all off. So I'd go back again, just with the knowledge that it's EITHER the soup and salad bar OR a sammich, at least for a guy my age and size and appetite. But definitely for that lovely chocolate martini ... and maybe that fudge brownie to make it complete :)

We had such a great meal at Pasta Beach as everything we ordered was delicious. The Pesca Burrata Salad was a beautiful combination of sweet and savory. The peaches paired so well with the arugula and creamy whipped burrata, while the pistachios added a nice crunch. The honey and balsamic dressing was so refreshing and light which brought everything together perfectly. Their fried calamari was perfectly fried. The batter was light and crispy while the calamari was tender without feeling too greasy or heavy. I especially like the tomato sauce as the flavors were well balanced without being too sour. The Burrata Pizza was another standout. The combination of pepperoni, mozzarella, and creamy burrata was amazing and the hot honey added the perfect sweet and spicy finish. The creamy burrata balanced out the kick from the hot honey so well that I think this is my new favorite pizza combination. All the pasta was al dente. The Spaghetti alla Vongole was light and the clams were very fresh. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese was rich and hearty. And the Mezze Maniche Carbonara was definitely one of my favorites. The creamy egg yolk, pancetta, black pepper, pecorino, and Parmigiano created that rich, classic carbonara flavor without being overly heavy. Overall, Pasta Beach is a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. We loved being able to share so many different dishes, and everything came out flavorful and well prepared. The only thing I did not like was their bread service as the bread came out cold and there was nothing special about them. Our server was friendly and attentive. We would definitely return when we are in town again in the future.

We did sit for a long while before being approached even for coffee or welcoming us but we all understood it was busy for 1 to handle maybe 7 tables that were filled! But, at some point I had to get up and go inside to politely say we had been waiting longer than one should expect! A moment or two our waitress came to take our beverage order and then after enjoying our coffee she came to take our Breakfast order, I chose the Holiday Special Omelette, which were two listed! The Shrimp and Prosciutto Omelette with Avocado sounded Amazing so that was my Choice! We all ordered! When it all arrived we took photos of each and they all looked very tasty! Anticipating my breakfast I delved into my Omelette and ate a bite and it was very tasty, took another bite still very tasty.....I paused and wondered " Where is the Shrimp and Prosciutto and Avocado?" I told my family member, I don't see either, we joked she said "maybe it's chopped... ". So, I flagged the waitress and asked her if this is what I ordered and she said, " She made a mistake thinking there were only one Special Omelette and apologized and will have one made immediately! I said Ok, she left and we joked about the Staff and then THE OMELETTE ARRIVED! It was spectacular looking and even better tasting! Unfortunately, my family already finished but it was OK! We sat still enjoying more coffee and then without being aware accidentally spilled coffee on my families slacks but we chose NOT to mention it!
