I honestly had amazingly high hopes for this place. The staff was extremely friendly, the miso soup was amazing, and the restaurant had a lovely feel to it and ambiance. The food portions were amazing and the taste was spectacular but the only thing that was bothering me was how extremely bitter and overpowering the cucumbers were in the poke. Every bite would be perfect but then you would get punched by an extremely bitter overpowering taste from the cucumber. I really wanted to rate this higher because of everything else but the cucumber really hurt the flavors and hurt my appetite unfortunately. read more

I'm writing this review to share my most recent experience here. I came in with my parents as they were visiting in town. The man behind the counter was so sweet and patient as he answered our questions (my parents haven't had poke before and had many questions). He honored my dad's request of cooking the salmon, and carefully made sure everything was correct. He also threw in three free drinks after. You walk-in to the restaurant and order at the front. You can order a bunch of things for instance like sushi, pre-made bowl, sashimi, poke bowls. The poke bowls are what they're known for and you can order either 2 proteins, 3 proteins and a sushi burrito. It's also in doordash and chownow where you can get it delivered. There's also a dine-in option. For myself I ordered three proteins where it costs $13.50. Step 1 is the base, step 2 is the protein, step 3 is the mix-in (you can choose all of the mix-in), step 4 is the sauce (you can combine up to two or three sauces), step 5 side, and step 6 topping (you can choose all of the toppings). For the sauce I suggest the spicy chilly and spicy mayo together. It was absolutely delicious. I would come back again if I visit Texas again and am in the area. read more

We ordered two rolls, gyoza, and two spam wusubi and it came out to about 60 bucks. Only bad thing was a few of the soda flavors were out and they didn't have many non soda drink options. You order at the window when you walk in and they bring the food out to your table so part of it is self serve. Not a big deal. I'm sure this spot has great food but we didn't even get a chance to try. I showed up around 4pm and there was a menu with 3 poke bowl options as well as a bunch of sushi options. When you get to the front there's a paper so you can build your own bowl. I smiled and said "oh you can build your own bowl?" And she said yes then she asked me to move to the side.... so people behind us could order. I'm sorry, that would have taken all of 1 minute or less and had they had the list for building your own bowl in the back with the menus. The service is courteous, welcoming and down to earth. Match that with the quality of food that is presented even in a traditional to-go container and the experience is complete! I ordered a 6 piece sushi combination and shrimp tempura appetizer. The spicy tuna roll that came with my order was amazing even with a very slight smokiness to it. The nigiri pieces were majority excellent with the exception of the tuna which did not taste fresh. Overall I would not have expected the quality of food and/or service. Even with the slight flub with the tuna nigiri, I would be more than thrilled to return. What was supposed to be a basic poke run turned into an adventure in sushi and a Sunday Funday I will remember until my next trip! read more

I Always come to this place when in the area as their food is delicious and impackably fresh for a to go place. However their customer service is yet to be improved. Today I Had to make a to go order by phone as i was in a rush to be somewhere by a certaine time. There were times when I would order at the restaurant and had to wait at least 10 minutes, but today I did not have such luxury therefore called on the phone. The woman who answered was the same person who takes money and the orders as well as apparently makes your poke bowl( fyi, in the future dont piss her off). Thats is where things went completely wrong. She told me that a custom bowl cannot be ordered on then phone only on line or in person, mind you I am currently driving so I am speaking to her and obviously over the car's blue tooth. She starts telling me she cant hear me, so I start to speak louder so she does. I ask her to please take my order as I am in a rush today. She said "no" at which point I answered "ok thanks bye" and hung up. On my arrival To the restaurant i give her my paper with the order, pay and leave a 15% tip. She proceeds to make my bowl slapping the food onto the tray. As she finished and packed it, with a completely angree face she slams the bag onto the counter infront of me and says "Now that did not take too long, did it?" Um.... What? Is that how you treat a customer because you are angree at the moment??? I said "excuse me, how dare you speak to a customer like that, I also left you a tip!! When she said: "I do not need your tip!" Her justification of being angree was "well I am a person too and why are you calling on a blue tooth when I cannot hear you? You should stop than make a call". It's 2024! EVERYONE IS DRIVING AND USING A BLUETOOTH TO CALL! Well needless to say yelling ensued and I demanded for the tips refund of course! OMG!! Please improve your customer service as this will surely hurt your business and I would hate such a good place to go to waiste! read more
