I wanted so much to adore this place. I think it was really good, but there was room for improvement for sure. We started with the pork tacos. PRO-TIP: Do NOT order this app on your first date or if you're wearing clothes you don't want stained. The meat is very tasty, but VERY juicy and drippy. I really wanted a fresh/crunchy element in these...cabbage would be perfect for the people who aren't allergic like me (I would accept banana peppers instead). It really is just some sauced pork wrapped in a tortilla, while flavorful, it needed texture. My husband ordered the scallops for an entree and they were fantastic. The flavor was simply wonderful. But for that price point, you should get more than three scallops. If that doesn't bother you, absolutely order the scallops, they were a home run. My entree was the spinach and ricotta ravioli. It was good. The portion was perfect for the half order, no complaints there. I just wasn't wowed by the flavor. I had two cocktails, the Cucumber gin drink and the Bees Knees. The cucumber one was great. The Bees Knees...I think I didn't like the honey that was used. It had a weird aftertaste that honey sometimes gets. On the plus side, the drinks were plenty strong. While this was a good meal, for the price point, I expected everything to be on point, and it just fell a bit flat for me. read more

I had the poached pear salad which had too much cheese on it for my liking but it was still very good. Meanwhile my husband had the filet ravioli which was to die for!! This was one of the restaurants I was most excited for on our vacay here. The atmosphere was incredible very intimate yet still had the key west vibes. The food was up to standard as expected. To share we ordered the Ahi Tuna Gravlax, little neck (Clams & Spicy Chorizo), and Calamari - all so savory and fresh! I have to say the winner for me was the clams and spicy chorizo- Such a distinctive combo truly mouthwatering dish. Safe to say the entrees did not fall short as we ordered the shrimp fettuccine, grass fed burger and the Mongolian ribs. Hands down the ribs are definitely a must - but I can't quite say the same for pasta or the burger as the flavor was definitely there and were enjoyable but might try something different next time. Overall our experience was definitely one for the books; our server was extremely attentive and hospitable. Love this place definitely recommend it to anyone. read more

This place is phenomenal. We sat up top on the balcony and had great views of Deval street. The mojitos are great. We had the devils for an appetizer- super delicious. The peach goat cheese salad was perfectly balanced. We also shared an order of the Brussels sprouts which were deliciously caramelized and covered with parm and fresh lemon juice. For entrees we shared the lobster ravioli and seafood risotto. The ravioli is homemade and perfect. The risotto is a very generous portion, I was super impressed with the amount of crab in the risotto. The only flaw was minor which was the food wasn't super hot when it arrived. Came here for a birthday dinner while on vacation in Key West after receiving a recommendation from our resort concierge. We made reservations for dinner on a Tuesday night; it wasn't busy, but it wasn't empty either. We were seated on the little patio/balcony they have and the service was pretty prompt. The space itself was a little cramped to get to as there are many tables around and not a lot of room between them so getting up to leave or go to the bathroom was a bit of a hassle as you have to maneuver past servers who are walking around as well. The food itself was pretty delicious and filling, we shared the octopus and half of a pasta dish to start before moving onto entrees. I had fried fish which was pretty fantastic. The sauce it came with was tangy and sweet while the fish itself was pretty tender and plentiful. I found it interesting how they took the classic key lime pie and turned it into their own dessert as it was more of a tart and served with other citrus foods. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a classier night out in Key West, just for convenience I'd recommend sitting out on the lawn area they have if you'd like to sit outside. read more

We were riding around key west and decided to grab lunch and found this place on yelp. Their menu looked interesting so we decided to give it a try. Just like most other restaurants in key west 915 is an upgraded home turner Into a classy upscale restaurant. They offer an indoor and outdoor dining area. Both area allows for a different experience. We dined inside since it was very humid out. The wall decor and lighting were very rustic with the hanging lights and crates on the walls displaying a variety of wines. They also had a chalkboard walk with written specials which was very hipster but cool. Our waiter was very friendly and recommended her favorite dish which was the pork taco. She Checked in frequently to ensure that we were comfortable and asked if we needed anything. We were very indecisive at first as the options all seemed really good. We ordered a verity of shareable items from the menu which included fried calamari , cone of fries with aioli , fresh grouper fish tacos and pork tacos. The calamari portion was small but the Calamari itself was very fresh and tasty with the crust almost falling off as you take a bite. The fries were hot and seasoned and the aioli mayo went well with it. The fish tacos were also a small portion. (2) we thought it would be 3 since it was listed as an entree. Overall the fish tacos were very tasty with fresh guacamole and a bit of cilantro. The pork tacos were the winner on our table. The meat itself was juicy and well seasoned with a sweet taste which was very different. Besides some of the portions being small I would say the overall experience is amazing and is definitely recommend it to anyone looking to catch a good meal while in key west. This place was where we decided to eat on a whim on a Friday night, and luckily we got a table despite it being crowded. It's in a charming old home. It's kind of like a tapas style menu. There are half or full portions of pasta which I appreciate since I could get a couple things. My wife and I picked up a reservation to this spot on OpenTable as our "date night" while in Key West and it delivered! The menu was varied and each dish we had was better than the last. Watermelon salad, roasted chicken, lobster ravioli and topped it off with their version of key lime pie (more like a tart). All of the food was OUTSTANDING! This place is one of the best restaurants we have ever dined at. The food was spectacular. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the keys.

I would highly recommend this place. We went with two kids and had a great time. Our waitress Anna was attentive and prompt. She recommended various mock tails for us (I know it's KW, but not all of us drink). We ordered the burrata, the ribs, and the watermelon salad as apps. Each was delicious with great portions. When we showed up for the dinner reservations the manager said she just promised someone that table 30 minutes prior to our arrival for an 8:00 dinner. She said there is nothing she can do. She did not honor her hostess reservation. She was very rude to our friends. Been coming to Key West for 12 years and this is the first bad experience. As we were walking down Duval Street I was googling the top ten restaurants. Just as I saw that Nine One Five was listed there... we happened to pass by it! Must have been "a sign." We got a table inside with air conditioning just before the kitchen was about to close - and we were delighted that we did! We ordered a shareable plate of Grilled Octopus and the Whole Yellow Snapper. Both dishes were superb. The cocktail menu was innovative and our drinks were delicious! Much like the review here from Katie G., which I totally agree with I must offer my ideas. First let me say I've been wanting to try this place for sometime but it has always been difficult to get a reservation. This evening my lovely lady and I were able to make the scene. Reservations were secured but not specified inside or out. The outside is porch side a location that one would imagine falling away from the building with a lean that made sitting level all but impossible. Aside from the lean to starboard the space as many on this busy street could have benefitted from a broom, pressure wash, wet rag and a coat of paint. So okay no big deal, leaning, on a dirty porch in sweltering heat, with the only moving air coming from a dusty overhead fan, this is nothing Ameal is not used to. However when the wait staff arrived I was only thirsty enough to request a liter of iced water my beautiful lady ordered her usual fancy martini! The only thing interesting seemed to be that the combination of the heat, the lean and the wait spoiled our appetites. Water an tee-knee arrived and I knew at first sip my sweetheart was disappointed, the famous cranberry/ginger recommended martini had the ginger, and we could see the cranberries but seems to be very light on the vodka...the last sip which was the second sip proved this observation to be correct...we did however have the experience of paying the $15 dollars for mediocre drink...haha we've done that too many times before! The food...at this point suddenly not being that hungry we decided to try a few menu items, first the whatever they call them bacon wrapped dates, made and reheated under a broiler were extra crispy, okay but nothing spectacular as the price might have suggested. We wanted to compare Ameals favorite dish, the beef carpaccio which I've eaten many times in 4 continents. This by far was the worst representation of beef carpaccio I've ever seen, smelt or tasted, we were so shocked we did not even take a photo as evidence of our astonishment. If you don't like a dirty waiters thumb shoved under a heap of arugula (to the edge of the plate) no doubt massaging the thin beef hiding underneath; then don't order this dish, if you don't like arugula enough for four salads; don't order this dish, if you like to munch dry greens comingled with tasteless mealy leftover beef; try it...order this dish! AND finally if for 20 bucks you are expecting more beef than would cover the center of a small plate, I would bet less than an ounce, with nothing other than two tiny crusts of bread, then by all means; order this dish! Lastly we ordered the ceviche which in our limited time at 915 was the only dish which we enjoyed, seemed fresh, great flavor and priced right. In the meantime, all water drained, sweated brows, we waited, and waited, and waited...the waiter showed up as if being attentive desert menu in hand and was greeted to a chorus of "can we please have the check"...well enough said, we were both too tired, too hot and too afraid to order desert. Will Ameal return....doubtful, will Ameal and his lovely sweetheart continue to suggest his clients and guests try 915, don't think so, I will however say we will watch for reports of the new restaurant grand opening in this space as it exists 915 can't possibly survive unless it's on the backs of unsuspecting tourists! read more

My wife and I ate here this evening and we loved it!! It is towards the south side of Duval street and has some great outdoor seating options. I want to give a big shoutout to our waitress, Laura, as she was awesome. Super friendly and very attentive. My wife and I shared the fried calamari, brussel sprouts, and the mongolian ribs as appetizers or "shareable" dishes. The calamari was some of the best I have had, and the meat from the mongolian ribs fell off the bone. For a main course, I got the cheesburger and cone of fries, while my wife got the organic chicken. The cheeseburger was cooked perfectly at the medium rare requested and it came with carmelized onions and manchego cheese that accented the burger perfectly. If we had any room for dessert, which we did not, I would have wanted to try the bread pudding. Maybe next time..... read more
