This is the second time we've been here. Even though it's inside a casino, it doesn't feel like it at all. The first time we just walked in and the second time my wife made a reservation because our waiter had suggested it. The second time our waiter was Brad Pitt (not that one ladies) He was amazing! Still offered suggestions even though we've been there and really made the meal something extra. Our drinks did take forever coming to the table and the margarita tasted super sour. Our waiter went back and remade them himself and they were so much better. Even though the drinks weren't great at first, we still give this 5 stars because of how amazing the food and service was. Even though there's tables all around you, the service really makes you feel like you're in your own world. I don't think it is possible to make a béarnaise sauce without flavor. Every ingredient has flavor (butter, vinegar, tarragon). But they managed to do it. I had the filet Oscar, don't be fooled by the photos online. My filet (which was the best thing in the plate,cooked very well) was topped with what looked like leftover crab meat. Little flakes, not the big king crab piece depicted in the photos. I was so disappointed after spending almost $70 on the entree I went to the store the next day, spent $20 on a real king crab leg, made a real béarnaise sauce and asparagus and reheated my filet just to have the meal I was promised. Not to mention the service was subpar. My water glass was empty most of the time. It drives me crazy to spend $150 a head for something so disappointing. So I brought my bride and groom here after an unpleasant b day trip and with all the new staff and the new manager on board they made a way better impression I really just wanted to eat and not have pre cooked or bagged or steak table food this time was amazing the staff was great I usually have Steve as a server but he was off so we got Alejandro he was great drinks full allergy needs made sure they were met and food was fresh as can be the tomahawk cut was beautifully cooked super excited to hear Sunday has 1/2 price bottles up to 200 dollar ones. I like the Giome itallian red it's best not chilled and was super happy they didn't. Thank you all for a great meal and making everyone at my table happy it means a lot to me. The new manager Laura was very kind made sure to take of the past mistakes in management and staff had made and made sure our food was fresh and right! Where do I start? The reviews on Yelp weren't lying, this place is INCREDIBLE! We came here for a date night, and were impressed from the beginning. The ambiance here is fantastic, very romantic and you couldn't tell you were in a casino. The service was phenomenal, our waiter told us about the menu, recommended steaks, sea food and cocktails. We had constant rotation of waiters bringing out food, water and asking how is everything. Now, let's talk about food. Crab Cake and shrimp we shared were tasty, and the two shrimp were on steroids! Crab cake was full of meat. We both got steaks, my filet with bearnaise sauce was melting in my mouth. Truffle fries and carrots as sides were tasty as well, these chefs have nailed their specialties. We've been to Fleming's, Ruth's Chris, Brazilian Steak house and no one comes close! We took my Sister and Brother in-law for their anniversary. You guys did a such an amazing job on ours before the pandemic, they were dying to go for theirs. Happy Hour was awesome with the shrimp, oysters Rockefeller and bacon steak sooo delicious. But realized if I wanted the table side salad and desert there was no way I was able to eat a full entree(plus the warm weather gives me less of an appetite). But wanted a little something else. I got the lobster bisque and my husband the crab cake. Both great, but the bisque, the bisque never been so happy in my life. It was nothing short of Heaven with a lovely golden puff pastry on top. Banana Foster was yummy but I feel the young man didn't flambé it enough to give it that caramelization.it turned the ice cream to soup instantly. I was though really surprised that you no longer do anything for anniversaries. The waiter didn't even wish them one either. I just really need to point out one think. The waiter seemed kinda putout that we did not order full meals. However, that said it did shock us that we had to keep tracking him down when he did not have a lot of tables to wait on. We ordered two orders of bananas foster. The sweet young man made one. We let our waiter know this, but the young flambé man didn't show up for at least 15-20 mins. So that was a little awkward. Truth be told it was a little frustrating to keep tracking down our waiter to get the bill, fix the bill(twice) and finally gave up to pay it and gave it to another waiter. So I came in with my expectations low being that this is a steakhouse inside of a casino especially a fairly new casino. But the food was absolutely delicious. The only thing that no one at the table liked was the macaroni but they were nice enough to take it off. Outside of that it took a little long for the food to come but we did have a table of about 10. Still I wouldn't take any stars off I had the panseared salmon topped with the lobster and mashed potatoes. A friend of mine had the ribeye topped with the lobster and mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. My other friend said that the shrimp from the raw bar was the best shrimp she ever had. Unfortunate dining experience. Service was slow. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done. Took nearly 10 minutes to flag down manager who was quite apologetic and assured me steak would be refired and rushed...after 25 minutes I canceled order as my parents had already eaten and their places were cleared. This was our second visit, first one was great. This time a bit disappointed. We ordered drinks with 'well gin' and when the bill came we were charged $4 each for the alcohol...didn't know you had to pay extra to have alcohol in your drink. A side of Brussels sprouts were burned but they took them off the bill. Service was good but not great. The food was good but shrimp scampi was dry. My friend's bernaise sauce was cold, sent it back and it came back cold. They no longer do Happy Hour in the restaurant. Bread service is a nice touch as is the water service. The food is Vegas quality and the service is phenomenal. Clay is a wonderful host/server and I would recommend that you request him if you want a great experience. West Valley needs more places like this.Also, the manager Mr. James Koch stopped by our table and gave us a free dessert and he was most cordial. This was my birthday dinner. Nothing special. The only reason we are giving a 2 is because the food was good. Crab legs and the filet were great. But Oysters Rockefeller tasted like a frozen appetizer. The loaded potato had a lot beacon grease in it for some reason. The big problem was the service. It took a very long time to get our first drinks and then the bottle of wine took forever as well We would have ordered a second round of manhattans if anyone had asked but we sat there dry for a long time. Also the waiter was clueless about wine but you have a huge wine list. To top it all off, after dinner, our post dinner drinks sat at the bar for 20 minutes. My husband finally went and picked them up from the bar. Then another 30 minutes to get our tab to get out. Didn't give us any time to gamble unfortunately. Oh and by the way if you want a 5 star establishment, have a dress code. For example, start with no baseball hats at the table. Lol. read more

I was taken there for my birthday. Initial impression was great. Ambiance and our waiter were great. I ordered escargot as my appetizer and filet mignon for my entree. Escargot looked great but when I tried to eat it, it was very sweet. The cook substituted Sambuca for Pernot. While both are anise based, Sambuca has a high sugar content. Gross. The substituted a French onion soup that was barely ok. Next my steak - it was extremely salty. Rather than send another dish back I cut off the outer layer and ate what I could. I'm not a complainer, I don't have diva expectations - let's just establish that off the bat. Our experience here was not good, I'm not sure where all of these great ratings are coming from. Before our reservation, we stood at the bar for 10 min waiting to order a drink, but were totally ignored. We ended up going to a bar outside of the restaurant in the casino. Our food was mediocre at best. The onion soup was so bland. The oysters were really good, I'll give them that. We shared the ribeye, and it was the chewiest ribeye I've ever had. Medium rare, so it should have been very tender. And apparently they don't use salt and pepper I the kitchen because there as NO seasoning on it whatsoever. The mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts were boring. Maybe it was an off night because I heard other tables around us complaining too. Anyway, we opted to skip dessert because everything was so disappointing. Spent over $300 for low quality meal. I will say, our waiter was great, and they have a decent wine selection, but unfortunately we will not be returning. Save your money and go to Flemings down the street, because this is not a steakhouse. read more

WARNING FOR ALL FUTURE CUSTOMER Went to the Steakhouse Dec 30th and the waiter (there's no polite way to say this) smelled as if he hadn't bathed for awhile. He was nice, pleasant but, the oder he was putting off not so much. As we waited for our dinner to be brought out when we received our meal my husbands first comment on his steak was over cooked. Me I like it more medium but he gave a couple bites to me, I looked at it first and asked why he didn't send it back??? My son says his New York had no flavor and was over cooked as well. My husbands steak was past well done. We ate husband says we won't be back. NOW! This is where the story gets good, we paid our bill. Then went home. An hour after them closing at 1:00 AM my phones blowing up with texts. I'm mad but finally look at my phone. I'm getting charges from online retailers. I wake my husband ask him if he ordered something earlier???? No is his response, meantime he's telling me crap the restaurant didn't give me a customer copy of our bill. Now I'm calling the credit card company they started with small charges and kept on going up. Now we all know you can't make a online purchase without the security code on the back. These charges weren't flagged therefore they had the security code. It took me an hour but since my husband hadn't used his card in over a week. We knew where his card was stolen from and he had it in his possession so someone took photos of his card front and back. They went all the way to purchasing a computer. Now the credit card company didn't hold us responsible. However, not the end of of my story, Not 15 minutes later my husband got out of bed, I was still awake do to being hopping mad. The next thing I know and hear is my husband being violently ill. I was up all night and morning taking care of him, he didn't start feeling better until yesterday, Which was my time limit for taking him to the ER. Meantime my husband calls the establishment the next evening 31st of December, when they opened at 4:00 PM to report credit card fraud food poisoning, spoke to the manager. She told him that he was a liar and how dare he accuse one of the employees of theft! I called the credit card company and explained to them what happened they are going to contest the charge from the restaurant that night. She the manager turned this restaurant into the victim instead of us. I would never recommend anybody to go here and I would never recommend anybody to let their credit card be out of their sight in this restaurant. I have never wrote a review, but I felt the need for everybody to know this information. This resturant has a zero rating I had to give a star in order to post my review. I hope this helps and you all learn something from our mistake. read more

At first glance this tradition steakhouse seems like above average in all catergories. Little did I know the real surprise was inside. After I recieved my complementary water hand poured by an angel, The sky opened up and out came Daniel. He was exactly what we needed for our dining expirence. His knowledge was only surpassed by his beauty. He knew exactly what would accomodate my tedious pallett. His suggestions were that of a dominating Greek God. If you the the oppertunity of having him as your assistant at Nineteen86, Look him deep into his eyes...and let the magic happen. YOU WONT REGRET IT. Went last night with my in-laws. It was excellent! The staff was friendly, helpful, and made some great recommendations. Our food was also top notch. My crab cake appetizer was just perfect, though I enjoyed the show that came along with the tableside Caesar that most of my group ordered. My entrée - a 16" New York Strip - was incredibly tasty, and the lobster add-on hit all the right notes. The rest of my group loved their food too: my brother-in-law raved about the rack of lamb, and my father in law really enjoyed the cioppino. Most of us were too full for dessert, but I did try the 30 year port and enjoyed it a lot. Speaking of... they have a pretty nice wine list too, lots of options there, you should have no trouble finding something to please your palate. I highly recommend it, and hope to return soon. This is exactly the kind of great restaurant experience we need more of in the West Valley! read more

Cioppino at Nineteen 86 Steakhouse was so salty, it was inedible. Unfortunately, we were guests, so we did not want to make a fuss and forced ourselves to eat. Cioppino usually has a chunk of white fish, shrimp, clams, crab and other things, but this one at Nineteen 86 Steakhouse only had tiny pieces of lobster the size of a grain of sand, no fish, no shrimp, a few clams, and a section of Snow Crab that were not cracked. I could not believe how terrible it was for a restaurant like Nineteen 86 Steakhouse. It was the special that evening and was snot on the menu. Service was not any better. The ladies with water was great, they kept filling the glasses, which we needed. The waiter didn't even give us a spoon with our Cioppino, which is soup, and came around once to see if we were doing OK, didn't even engage with us or look us in the eye. The check was long time coming, too. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

The service and ambience was opulence. Everything from when you first walk off of the casino floor into the 1986 puts you in a mood of elegance. We started our evening at the bar for a couple of handcrafted cocktails that the mixologist selected for us and shortly after our table for two was ready in one of the most gorgeous dining rooms with a white background in Arizona have ever seen. The meal started out with some selections from the rahbar and a wonderfully prepared escargot to be followed by some wonderful bone and try aged steaks... Oscar styles of coarse with the beautiful sweet crab leg. The meal was followed by a table side bananas Foster's and a beautiful Argentinian dessert wine! What a way to dine on a Wednesday evening on the west side of Phoenix. We will be back, and often. read more

My wife and I were open to trying a new steakhouse for our anniversary. On the recommendation of a friend, we decided on Nineteen 86. The appetizers and cocktails were very nice, but they clearly didn't take steak in steakhouse seriously. My wife ordered the 18oz ribeye and I ordered the 22oz bone in ribeye. When they came to the table, my wife's steak was a VERY thin steak and clearly not the "world famous prime steak" the server touted. It looked like something we could've ordered from an Applebees. Not impressed. Then my steak was set in front of me and instead of a bone in ribeye, I was brought the porterhouse. When this was brought to our server's attention, he said he had hit the wrong button and kinda laughed it off. The steaks were under seasoned and very bland. When the bill came I assumed since they made a mistake by "hitting the wrong button", they would only charge me for what I had ordered. Instead, I was charged $95 for a steak that I did not order. Our server apologized for his mistake and said he could change it, but then he would have to pay for it, laying the guilt on pretty thick. This isn't a choice that should be put on the customer. It should just be taken care of. Not impressed and will not be back. read more

I can not say enough wonderful things about Nineteen 86. The food is absolutely wonderful, the steak has the best seasoning and the tableside dishes are a show and experience in themselves. We truly enjoy the subtle attention to detail, but above all the service is the best we have ever had. Devonte Smythe is our favorite but everyone is just as wonderful. microaggression : a comment or action that subtly and often unconsciously or unintentionally expresses a prejudiced attitude toward a member of a marginalized group (such as a racial minority) - Merriam Webster This is exactly what I experienced at ninteteen86 Steak Restaurant. I took my wife there for our anniversary on Saturday May 1st. While I have experienced racism and microaggressions throughout my life, I did not expect this here. Everything was going great until we received our food. I ordered a steak and my wife ordered pasta with shrimp; we had ordered a few appetizers as well. Our food came and my steak was great. It came as expected; however, my wife's pasta was salty and the shrimp was extremely salty. This is where the problems began. When our server (who was great) came by to check on us, we let him know that the shrimp and pasta were extremely salty; it happens and we understand. Microaggression #1: the manager (I'm making the assumption it was the manager) came by and with a surprised face and tone said "you sent it back" with his palms facing upwards... the audacity of a customer sending the food back because it was extremely salty... my audacity. He did not apologize, he did not say anything else, he just said, "you sent it back". Our food came and it was fine... but at that point, I was already annoyed because of the manager's actions. Microaggression #2: the manager once again came by to check on us and keeping his distance and with his hands/palms facing down he says "any other problems?". He had the nerve to approach me as if he was trying to calm me down... what is going on here?!?!? I was not upset, I was not a rude customer and his approach to me as if I was getting ready to argue with him or calm me down were unnecessary which further frustrated me. I was upset and shocked that this was going on. I could not believe it and was talking to my wife about it. Microaggression #3: When it came time to pay the bill, the manager had taken off both meals off of the bill. This is a problem because it hit me that the reason he had said to me "you sent it back" meant that someone else had probably created a problem for him in the past and he had to comp that meal and possibly thought I just wanted a free meal. I would have gladly paid for my meals and did not want anything comped. I hope this is an isolated incident but I would suggest this restaurant put their management staff through racism and microaggressions training. It is definitely needed. While I did see a lot of white people at the restaurant and an African-American couple, I should not be treated any different than anyone else based on my skin color. I am an educated man, who gives and expects respect from others; I do my best to treat everyone fairly and do my best to provide empathy to all. read more
