Great decor. The Italian dishes are excellent. Calamari Mondello appetizer is out of this world there is enough to eat as the main course

Chicken parmigiana sandwich, at Ninuzzo Trattoria in Cream Ridge, NJ.

Ordered a chicken parmigiana sandwich (large), to my surprise, I received two smaller size hoagies. No problem, but to be honest, I wasn't thrilled with either of the sandwiches. Chicken was processed pieces rather than whole cutlets. They were a bit tough also, and the marinara sauce was bland. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch. Doubtful I'll be back, even though my Mother In Law lives across the street -- she doesn't like the style of Italian they serve at Ninuzzo Trattoria, and she feels they are on the expensive side.

My family and I went here for our sunday dinner. They were busy and had a lot of people. They only had 1 bathroom stall for ladies and 1 bathroom stall for men. The line to the bathroom was super long. It looked fancy inside the restaurant. The table set up with wine glass, tablecloths, etc. but definitely need to expand the bathroom with a few stalls. We ordered the appetizer sampler for everyone to share. I ordered the vitello zio sal; it was delicious. Entree came with either soup or house salad. I got the sausage soup which I didnt like. Also, the food took forever to come. By the time we got our food all the other customers that were there had already left.

If you want to have one of the best gnocchi in the area, this is the place. It is a lovely interior which is great for dates or family dinners, just be prepared to flag someone down to be seated at first. Although the service to be seated is always SLOW, since many times they don't even realize someone is waiting by the door, the food is worth the wait.

Our second review. We were shocked that Ismael, our first-time server who we requested tonight told me he read my review and was so appreciative. During the meal, the manager stopped by but he had no clue of the review. Odd. So many restaurant managers and owners will reply to our reviews. Oh well. The food was just as good and memorable as the first time, all fresh, all very tasty, could taste the individual ingredients. My only ding was how management handles changes to the dishes. Example, the lunch menu has many more salad choices so we were allowed to order the roast beet/fennel salad off the lunch menu (regularly $9) but were informed of an upcharge to $14 which we accepted. BTW, the salad should be on the dinner menu, it was that good. A fresh burst of citrus flavor- roasted beets, pistachio encrusted goat cheese, and shaved fennel tossed in an orange vinaigrette served over baby arugula; was exceptional. We then shared an app of the eggplant rollatini, it was so good. Was firm, had substance, not all melted cheese as at other restaurants. Two nice pieces in the order. However, when it came time for the entree order, we wanted a change to the Pollo John Luca, instead of potatoes, my wife asked for a side of pasta. The only way they'd swap it was if we removed both the potatoes and the 3 asparagus stalks. Really-- 3 stalks? Come on, that is plate dressing, not a veggie side. I love veggies and we don't eat potatoes so we had to give in to the $5 upcharge for the side pasta. We go out often and try a large array of places, I would have expected the upcharge comments at other lesser establishments but here. The serve, Ismael, continued to apologize on their behalf. I think he was embarrassed. We'll come back and have the salad again and will make plate changes because you go out to eat what you don't make at home. We'll just now be more aware. They are friendly and welcoming, super clean, attentive staff, contemporary decor, nice menu, and mean well. But it's the little upcharges that get annoying. You don't want to hear no when you are paying for a meal. Note, I didn't ask for the potatoes, which we paid for, to take home, should have gotten a reduction for not ordering them. Not being difficult, we are quite the opposite, we get very friendly with owners, managers, and the staff and greatly appreciate their work, their effort, and their kitchen staff's craft.

Menu selection was condensed, but food was delicious and I wasn't expecting a small Italian restaurant to have an extensive menu. The food came out and was delicious nonetheless. The service was a little slow which cost it a star, but they seemed busy and I'd be happy to go back and try it again. Certainly recommend if you're looking for Italian food and in the area.

Tonight Jimbo took great care to ensure we had a flawless dining experience which we did. We opt'ed for mainly chef specials this evening opening up with a delicious coconut shrimp, butterfly, grilled dusted, and fabulous seasonings, and topped off with a Thai chili sauce for dipping. Nice size or white tenders can be an incredible flavor profile. Next, I had the stuffed shrimp with crab meat and black ink linguine and first off the plating presentation was outstanding and then the flavor profile that followed was incredible and I'm not a pasta person, but this was certainly worth breaking my own self imposed rules about pasta. And my wife had the Villa Marcello, and it was tender and moist, and absolutely memorable. All in all a fun, tasty relaxing evening on a day with crazy storming skies.

We had an excellent meal with some of the best service that I've received in years! Delicious rolls and focaccia were served as we looked over the menu and debated numerous specials. We split a stuffed clam appetizer and appreciated that our server Kyle let us stagger the appetizer and entree order. He checked in frequently but wasn't rushing us. We had 3 different entrees that came out hot; each was delicious and plentiful. I enjoyed the shells in a white wine ragu, wife said risotto with shrimp and scallops ( even placed scallops on side bc she doesn't like them... but we did!) was great, and nephew had another pasta that he devoured. Overall, an excellent visit bc of great food, nice ambiance, and attentive service by Kyle who allowed us to enjoy an evening of a relaxed dinner like it would happen in Italy.

They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. My friends and I had the pleasure of stopping in a few weeks ago. With the same owner and executive chef behind the beloved Nonna Sulina's, it came as no surprise that every dish was thoughtfully prepared. We started with the fried calamari and Uncle Paulie's Meatballs. The calamari was crisp and well-seasoned, served with marinara and sweet chili aioli, and the meatballs were tender and flavorful. For our entrees, two of us ordered the chicken parmigiana, and one got the short rib ravioli amaretto. Since spaghetti isn't offered, I paired my chicken parm with rigatoni, while my friend opted for angel hair. Both dishes were excellent! For dessert, we chose the mile high peanut butter explosion and tiramisu. Both were delicious and delivered just the right amount of indulgence to end the meal on a high note. Service matched the quality of food: warm, prompt, and perfectly paced. It all came together for a relaxed and memorable dining experience.
