The Pharmacist and I worked together to determine dose which the doctor hadn't really been too specific about (I happen to be a pharmacist too so we really put our heads together on this one!). The pharmacist paid attention to detail going above and beyond. He treated both my husband and I with compassion and care. As a side note, the technician seemed to be having a personal connection with another client that I witnessed. That is a classy organization. Personalization with respect and professionalism. Nasty employee with a bad attitude and long hair. Forgets that she is serving the public and brings her negativity to work. Losing customers one at a time. I changed from my old pharmacy to this Rexall because it is small, lines are short, and it feels like a pharmacy rather than a general store. I made this decision even though their hours are shorter on weekdays, much shorter on Saturdays and they are closed on Sundays. At first I thought the pharmacy was great, but after a year I have had second thoughts. The staff are not of the "the customer is always right" genre. I have had difficulty getting my prescriptions on auto refill, but the staff have made it clear that that is my fault. When I tried to explain what I requested, I was told "I understood you perfectly". In other words, I had not asked for what I thought I had asked for according to her. I found myself saying "I must not have been clear, but this is what I want" in order to avoid confrontation. What finally is sending me elsewhere, is that they decided to close early on a Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. I have severe glaucoma in my left eye and take 3 different drops. I had thought I put all three on auto refill, but realized I was critically low on one. When I called the pharmacy on Tuesday they informed me that I had not requested auto refill (which, of course, I thought I had) and that my drops were not available there and would take until Friday to get because of Thanksgiving. This meant that I would most likely run out of drops before I received the refill. I received a confusing text on Friday so called to make sure they were open. The answering machine said they would be open till 6PM. They were not open when I went in at 4:00PM to pick up my eye drops. I was told the next morning that it had been slow and so they closed at 2PM and that it was a holiday after all. It is now Saturday and I finally have my eye drops. I am moving my business to another pharmacy. read more

My family has used this pharmacy since 1995 and were always happy with them. Then George (original owner) sold the business a few years back - and the place has gone downhill ever since. The personal service they used to take pride in has deteriorated to the point that only one employee, Tina, still seems to even care about such things. The number of employees has dwindled (no surprise there), wait times have increased, and the current pharmacist is very difficult to deal with. For pain meds, he will sometimes ignore our doctor's refill date and substitute his own - for example, if it comes in one day early he refuses to fill it - and seems to view pain med users as drug addicts that he has to micro-manage. Although my wife still gets her Norco there, I moved my prescription to Rite Aid and have had zero problems with this, even if it's a "day early". (?) The last straw was today, when he told my wife that he would not fill her script for another two days - even though she was due tomorrow - and actually argued with her on the phone. He then told her he would go ahead and fill it tomorrow (her due date) but only because he's a "nice guy"! What? Rest assured we will be moving all of our business to Vons Pharmacy in the next few days as we are simply tired of the current atmosphere there. NEW LOCATION IN 2019!! Amazing service, staff and pharmacists that go above and beyond what is required of them. Despite the Rexall name, this is a local small business. As such they excell at customer service you will not get at big corporate pharmacies. I don't live in, or within a few miles if Nipomo, but this is where I go to get my prescriptions filled. They moved in 2019 from their old store on the north side of Tafft between US 101 and Thompson to a brand new corner building about the same distance west of 101. The new store is clean and beautiful, and better stocked, and still has great parking access. Small personal pharmacy, they take many types of Prescription Insurance coverage plans. Very very pleased with service, polite, friendly, professional and outstanding communications. The pharmacist and staff go above and beyond, and in my case have literally spent hours on the phone dealing with my insurance, and also make the monthly approval calls to insurance for Schedule II medications (I am a chronic pain (intractable pain) patient. But MOST IMPORTANTLY can fill (in my case anyway) very difficult to fill prescriptions including prescriptions big national chains refuse to fill or are unable to fill because their suppliers don't stock. Conveniently off 101 freeway on Tafft about 3-4 blocks west of US 101 (on the South side of Tafft a few blocks after the VONS shopping center). If you drive 101 between SLO or 5-Cities, and Santa Maria or Orcutt seriously consider getting your Rx's filled here, particularly if you have difficulty finding Pharmacy's to fill some of your medications. Then show them a little love by getting all your monthly and 90 days medications filled here. You will not be disappointed. read more

This is the worst pharmacy possible anyone could go to. They are thieves, cheats and liars. They made up their own cash price for me. Saud they contacted my insurance when they actually never even tried. Then they tried to rip me off a second time until I threatened to call the authorities, news channel, etc, then they gave me my money back, on the 2nd time. Refused to for the 1st time. So I got with my insurance, they paid me back the $300 and then charged Rexall! Rexall lied through their teeth about all sorts of stuff. Also, most of the girls up front, especially the big one, are some of the rudest and inept employees I've ever seen. You've been warned! read more

I was so fortunate to find Nipomo Rexall. I have several complicated compounds that change monthly. Jessica and her crew have never made a error on any of my needs. They always go above and beyond to ensure they are following doctors orders. My doctors have made errors but the professionals at NIpomo Rexall caught those errors and clarified the orders and rectified the issues. Dump CVS now! Nipomo Rexall is cheaper, the staff is MUCH nicer and they get my prescriptions correct. CVS gave me the wrong drug on 2 of my prescriptions- both could have been life threatening if I hadn't noticed - and then told me to bring them back, despite the fact I was vomiting everywhere. I had to drive back to CVS and wait while they got me the correct medicine. Enter Nipomo Rexall. Tina is WONDERFUL! So is everyone else I've met there. Their prices are much lower. My family's prescription bill has dropped more than $150 a month because NR searches for every available discount. Their store supply is limited, but their prices are also much cheaper. My toothpaste, for example, was over $10 at CVS. It is $6 at NR. No, they don't have a drive through, but I was sick of waiting 10-20 minutes at the drive through. Now I spend less than 3 minutes going inside NR. Saving money and time? Sign me up! (If you need something you don't see on the shelves, just tell someone. They will order it and stock it!) Delivery is free! Sure, there have been little problems, but nothing like I experienced at CVS. Do yourself a favor & switch. I'm so very happy I did! read more

Terrible customer service when you keep calling but the compounder is not there to make the Bioidenticals. I have to wait over a week cause the person making them is off or on vacation especially when I called a few days b4 and was told she would be there. I had a good experience getting deliveries before but it has gone down hill ever since. Have no idea how they stay in business with this kind of service and telling customers one thing and doing another. This town has few compounding places. This is sad. read more

Do not use this service if you need HRT. Although I have been using their services for nearly two years over the past 8 months the owners demeanor and customer service has degraded terribly, to argumentative levels. My recent interactions were so terse as to leave me in tears of frustration. Questions I had about my prescription were met with argument and lack of flexibility. My requests as a customer were not conveyed or honored, prescriptions that were not accurate were not attended to appropriately and I, as the customer, took the financial loss and verbal hit by the owner, Jessica. I will not use them again, nor will I recommend them to others. If you are thinking using them for HRT may I recommend two other services that will give you better customer service along with fair prices. This small pharmacy is perfect for Nipomo. Forget standing in line at CVS. People here know you and greet you as a friend. Recently, I found myself out of one of my daily prescriptions that I get by mail order. I took the bottle in and they said they'd call my doctor (CHC)for a 10 pill supply while I was waiting for my mail order. A few phone calls to the doctors office (CHC) by both of us did not get any results. I left the pharmacy and figured I would try the doctor one more time. While waiting to connect, the pharmacy called and told me one of their employees had a friend who worked at CHC. She looked up my records, found the doctors approval and verbally gave approval for the prescription. She went over and above in her customer service. I commend H. and the pharmacy for their assistance. By the way six days later, CHC telephoned me to tell me the doctor had approved my request and that she had just called in my prescription. That is another story!! What a fiasco CHC is!!! read more
