YESSS! I think every time we are in Roseville, this is a MUST! Shout out to our friend Logan who works here and cooks some of the BEST tacos in NorCal! YES EVEN BETTER THAN THE BAY AREA! From the Roadkill Taco, Pork Belly, Octopus. So. frickin. good!!! One thing to really savor is the salsa sampler too! Cheers!
A return visit to this highly-acclaimed taco spot just outside Sacramento. Their salsas are to die for, and the tacos are pretty good (if a bit overpriced). Some of the proteins don't quite work for me (I thought the octopus had too much sauce on it) but I'd go back just for the peanut salsa (that you can buy to go).
Price: a bit pricey. Tacos from $6.50-8.50 per taco. More unique flavors. Good service for the most part.Server did not tell us which taco was what which wasn't helpful. Also no napkins until we made a mess. Ambiance indoors was super dark w stringed lights. Eyes had to get used to the dark lol We got: Mushroom taco- $6.5. Pretty bland. Chk mole- yum Octopus- spicy! Al pastor- liked it! Interesting having pineapples Birria- too oily. Did not like the sauce that came w it- was bitter Pork belly- ok. A bit too much fat but that's to be expected lol. Forgot what else we got. Overall good. Wouldn't get birria, octopus or mushrooms again. Been here 3x. Super close to us. Initially didn't like it after their Michelin plate (terrible service) but gave 2nd try and was better. Love their chipotle peanut butter salsa + mild green + mild red. Their spicy one was too spicy for me
Where shall I begin ... this isn't my first time here but I definitely haven't frequented as much as I probably should... on a whim I stopped on my way home from work one night... might I add this restaurant is in my neighborhood so I really should come more often. I tried something new tonight and so glad I did... their pork belly taco is off the chart no wonder it had won an award ... it was a tender slab of meat not fatty like you would expect from pork belly... the seasoning plus the thin layer of refried beans and melted cheese it's nestled in was just the right about of savory mild heat and warm cheesy delicious taco... I'll definitely be ordering that again!!! And then my second choice was an old favorite. Although, I m not a vegetarian; their cauliflower taco is top notch and would turn any carnivore towards a vegetarian. The cauliflower is marinated in a delicious seasoning and the cauliflower is cooked just to the right tenderness to make feel like you're eating meat!!! Both are a must try!!! Might I add I had a Mango margarita and it was well worth the price you get your monies worth in one drink I had a nice heat flush to my face and let me just say it went down smooth. I'm not a big drinker so I prefer to let's say "feel it but not taste the alcoho'"... This did the trick !! If you haven't been make sure you put it on your list to stop by! Nixtaco still has good consistent food and drinks !!

All of the staff were checking on and taking care of us. Food and drinks were delicious, though I do think the food was slightly on the pricey side for this area in town (and what you get). The complimentary salsas are all fantastic though!
Have been wanting to go here for a while now. It did not disappoint!! Their guacamole was super fresh and tasty!! Loved that they serve their water in a bottle with a glass water cup. No plastic! Their pork belly taco melted in your mouth!!! Why only 4 stars? To be totally transparent, the restaurant (especially the bathroom) could have been cleaner. And the inside of the restaurant was abnormally dark. Other than that I loved the food!
The first time I went here it was a full 5 STARS, no complaints. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and everything was up to par. However, the second time my partner and I came to Nixtaco we wanted a booth and when I gave my name to the host "Mo", she was giggling on her and and showing her co host something. She said the wait would be around 45 minutes or so. After an hour of waiting (Since I had a timer on my phone), we decided to check back in. It seems like the worker never even put my name down officially for our table. So my partner and I decided to eat at the bar instead. At the bar, it was so uncomfortable, even though we are almost at the age of 30 the bartenders weren't the nicest. It felt as though they were upset since we were sitting at the bar and not ordering alcoholic beverages. We end up ordering our food, but while we are eating, the girl bartender ends up dropping something, it breaks, then the boy bartender does the same with a different piece of glass. After this second experience, it didn't really want me to come back even though the food was quite delicious.
Been here a couple times but haven't been in years. Went for HH. They have $3 off their tacos, half off Guac and a few drink specials. Tried the Guac to start and their salsas. Really enjoyed the smoky peanut salsa the best! Got a variety of tacos including shrimp, chicharon, braised chicken mole and short rib. Didn't like the combo of shrimp and cheese much. Really enjoyed the short rib though! The chicken mole was a more chocolate flavor. The chicharron was a little fatty for my taste. The Love the homemade tortillas! The churros seemed a little crispy and overcooked. Service was good and quick. Modern food and atmosphere.
We haven't been back here since pre-COVID and pre-Michelin bib gourmand status, so I was excited to eat here! We came around 12:30 on a Saturday and I was shocked to see tables still open, only to find a huge rush of people coming right after us. Lucky timing on our part!! We got a nice corner table outside. The inside is fine but it seemed so dark and loud, even for the middle of the day, so I am glad we got the last table outdoors. However I think it caused us to be a bit forgotten towards the end of our meal - almost an entire hour went by between receiving our meal to receiving our dessert, just because no one came by to check on us so we could place our dessert order, and just the dessert took quite a while to come out. The visit started with great service though, the girl was super helpful when we asked about a plain chicken quesadilla for our kids. She explained we could order one with the fried chicken inside and no sauce and that would be the least spicy option for them. It came out and it was huge! Such a good size portion. We really enjoyed the queso fundido. Highly recommend adding in meat - we picked carne asada. It comes with corn tortillas, so this is another good option if you're with someone who wants something more simple. The menu seems more slimmed down than before - no elote in sight this time! The octopus taco was my favorite hands down. The pork al pastor had a generous amount of meat, but not nearly enough salsa to balance it out. The pork belly taco was another solid choice, loved the refried beans on that one. The fried chicken taco was okay, but pretty dry, so I'd skip on that. The corn tortillas seemed a lot thicker and drier than I remember. Next time I'd upgrade to flour! I really loved the flight of salsas and chips they bring out when you sit down - each salsa was absolutely the highlight of the meal! Overall solid meal but the lack of service towards the end was a bit frustrating. Would come back again for that outdoor seating again on a less busy day!
Where and my husband hadn't been out for a date night in a while and this place was on our list so we decided to go last night. We pulled up to the parking lot and it was quite a busy parking lot, but we found a space easily. In the car, I asked him what time the reservation was for and he said he forgot to make one ha ha. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get a table for a while because it seemed quite busy, but they were able to see us right away! Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. She had a lovely smile and kept it on the whole time even though I could tell she was busy. For the appetizer, my husband chose the queso fondito. The cheese pulled was incredible! It came with delicious tortillas. For the main course, we decided to have tacos so we each chose three different tacos to try. I had the octopus taco fried chicken taco and short rib taco. The octopus was tender and delicious. The fried chicken taco was my favorite with very juicy meat. The short rib taco was very juicy. My husband had the Carne Asada taco the fried chicken taco. For drinks, I had the hazy IPA chef's margarita and the dessert drink, which had espresso in it. The hazy IPA was great, and I really enjoyed the espresso dessert drink. It was a bit lighter than a espresso martini. But I was put off a bit by the margarita. The ingredients on the menu did not state that it had Mezcal, but it did taste like Mezcal so I asked the server and she said yes it did have Mezcal in it. I do not personally enjoy Mezcal so I would've liked to have known that before ordering the drink. For dessert, we decided to share the churros. I feel like they were the weakest point of the meal. I found them to be undercooked in the middle and the plating was very un appetizing. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience. I found the best part to be the service and tacos.
the setup of this restaurant is so cute upon entering & the hostess sat us immediately. She brought us waters, chips & salsa. The salsas go from mild to spiciest, & the most spicy one was definitely my favorite. Their menu had a vast amount of different options to choose from & I chose the spicy shrimp tacos. I will say, I'm glad I only got 2 because they were pretty big & filling! I enjoyed my overall experience here & will be back to try more
If I lived in town I would be here an unhealthy amount. Some of the best tacos I've ever had, they literally just melt in your mouth. You can tell the quality is top notch. Would highly recommend the pork belly & octopus. They chips and salsa are complimentary and comes with 4 different salsa flavors. The green and habanero were my favorites. Great service and cold AC inside.
I'm a regular customer at Nix Roseville. Today I ordered two burritos and some potatoes to go. $58.....fine. Got home and discovered my burrito looked like a taquito. Seriously child sized bean burrito from Taco Bell. Very inconsistent portions.
Think fancy tacos with good presentation, double-portion meat/veggie, tasty sauces and micro greens as garnish. Nixtaco is the taco place I come back to visit again and again. Pork belly is my all-time go-to taco. There are three different types of them, with a simple house taco and two signature ones. All are equally good! Octopus taco is unique in its own way. It has the strong seafood-y flavor but doesn't miss the aroma of corn tortilla. Chicken mole tacos are on the sweeter side. I would strongly recommend Nixtaco to start considering adding mole as an appetizer as well! Fried chicken taco was interesting. The chicken was fried very crispy and all flavors including the "extremely hot" sauce was blended together well. Corn, pork, beef were all amazing as well. A lot of the tacos have a slice of grilled cheese on them. I thought it would be greasy but it wasn't at all. All tacos have a very generous amount of filling so do be careful on how many tacos you order :) read more
We've had a gift card for some time but never thought to use it - I've heard such great things about this place and they weren't wrong!! We got there around 5:30 and they have Happy hour until 6 so we got a few things for cheaper like the Guac and some tacos - everything was so fresh filling and just delish - we kept ordering more and more as it was all so good! We started with the chips and salsa - all were so good - then guac I loved it as it was fresh and cold! I started with beef tacos & my new fav quesobirria - it was the best!! I also tried the shrimp taco! We finished off with a carrajillo and flan!! - service was spot on - he was super attentive and friendly !! We were early so it got busier as we finished up our meal!! It started to get loud as it got busier but overall a super cute place and we will be back!! read more

A few things come to mind when to justify a five-star rating at a restaurant. This includes ambiance, taste/quality/texture of the food, service, prices, and overall experience. Considering this place has been around since 2015 (many of which are stellar reviews) as well as being listed as a Michelin Guide restaurant, this small business has a lot going for it. Therefore, I wanted to fill you all in with my most recent experience dining at "Nixtaco" I came here with my lovely lady during the afternoon of Sunday 6/1/2025 around 2:00pm. Since the weather was cooperative (after a couple hot days prior to this), we decided to dine at their outdoor patio. Hours of operation are standard as they are open for business Sun-Thu 11am-9pm and Fri-Sat 11am-10pm. They do take reservations (which are encouraged during the busier times) but not required. They are located in a small quiet strip mall at the corner of Cirby Way and Rocky Ridge Dr. and only a 1/2 mile from Maidu Regional Park in Roseville. They also opened up a second location in Folsom which debuted in May 2025. Once seated, we were given a carafe of iced water and two glasses as well as food/beverage menus. As many people know, their menu is quite eclectic and way different than what you'd find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. This place offers some very different tacos including octopus, mushroom, cauliflower, and many more as well as the traditional chicken, steak, pork, etc. They also carry a sizable amount of burritos, quesadillas, desserts, and a ton of beer and mixed cocktail options. I do have to say that the exterior layout is quite spacious and even after glancing at the inside of the restaurant, this place offers a ton of attention to detail with every square inch. As I was narrowing down my options, I finally settled with two of their more popular tacos. The first was their "Nixtaco Combination Taco". This taco offers Mazatlán-styled shrimp, Rajas con Queso, Chicharrón, and cilantro w/toasted sesame seed/chile oil, peanut chipotle aioli, and melted Oaxaca cheese. The second taco I ordered was their "Chicharron" which consisted of thin sliced and roasted pork belly that is diced and sauteed in salsa verde complete with lime-pickled onions on top. We received a complimentary side of tortilla chips and 4 types of salsa ranging from mild to spiciest. I complete my meal with one of their House Margaritas. My drink is brought out to me in just a few minutes while my tacos arrived just a couple minutes later. The presentation alone really showcases how much work went into making these. After the first bite of the combo taco, my taste buds explored so many rich, unique flavors as you do get a ton of meat in every savory bite. The Chicharron taco also has a perfectly seasoned and roasted taste to it as I do not regret ordering this. I will say that both of these paired with the chips, salsa, and margarita truly made every bite (and sip of my drink) an extremely special one. All in all, "Nixtaco" is the real deal and I see why it was voted into the Michelin Guide for best restaurants. The service was stellar as our server made sure our waters will filled up while everything flowed perfectly from start to finish. When you combine unique ingredients with a perfect quiet ambiance and an above average dining experience, then this was a grand slam for me. My rating for the Roseville Nixtaco location, a unanimous five stars. read more

I have been wanting to come here for quite some time. I have heard nothing but good things about this place. My husband and I came last week. To drink, he ordered the michelada and I had the Chef's margarita. I tried the michelada, and it was definitely one of my favorites. Most of the time, micheladas are bland. Nixtaco's mix is very good! The chef's margarita was also tasty! Slightly fruity, but not too sweet. To eat, my husband and I shared an order of beans and rice. I also ordered four tacos: octopus, cauliflower, corn, and short rib barbacoa. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I should have only ordered three. All were delicious! My only complaint is the barbacoa was a too oily for my taste. Other than that, everything was great! I definitely recommend making a reservation. This place gets busy, quick! read more

It was ok. Friend told us about Nixtaco and the "pork belly tacos" a couple years ago but we never had a chance to drive out here to check it out until this weekend. Excited to check out a Michelin rated restaurant in Roseville. They have outdoor patio seating and indoor booths. Music inside was a bit louder than what I was comfortable with, so we had to yell a little more to hear what each other and the server was saying. Server Nate was great. Told us about the menu and was very attentive. We ordered a bunch of items to try, since he said the tacos are pretty small. 5 stars for service. Got two pork belly tacos, a pork belly roadkill taco, spicy shrimp taco and a short rib barbacoa burrito. They gave us complimentary chips and 4 different kinds of salsa. Also ordered some guacamole, which was great until I got to the part with a hot pepper. Yikes! Pork belly taco wasn't bad but it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. It was weird because the sauce was sweet and salty and then there's a thick layer of bean paste. I think I'd rather just go someplace and get pork belly. Everything else was decent but you know it's not that impressive when my husband takes a bite of it and then his reaction is to just kinda shrug. Short rib barbacoa burrito was super oily, salty and messy. Not something I'd get again. No special herbs or anything fancy. Just barbacoa, cheese and some avocado. The tacos had green onions but no lettuce or cilantro. So everything was just kinda salty. All in all, it was ok. Definitely worth trying to see what the hype is all about. It's not cheap. Each little taco is around $7 and does not come with any additional sides (other than the chips and salsa). If the tacos were amazing, I'd be fine with paying more. But given that they were just ok, $7 seems incredibly expensive. Glad we tried it but most likely won't be returning. $70 for a meal (no drinks) that just wasn't very amazing or spectacular. I honestly couldn't figure out why it would be Michelin rated, other than it's probably harder to find a place that serves pork belly in a taco. read more

This place has been on my list of food to try for awhile based on a food influencers recommendation. Since I was in the area for work training, I made sure to find the time to try it out. For appetizer, I ordered the Queso. It was good but would have been better with something added in. They have three options for additions (chorizo, chicharon, and rajas I believe). Tacos: Short rib barbacoa-flavorful, just wish it had a bigger slice of avocado Spicy shrimp- absolutely delicious, all the flavors worked well together Dessert: Flan-omg!!!!! Best flan I have had. When it came it had two spoons so I'm not sure if the portion is meant for two people to share. However I ate damn near the whole thing myself. They have an Overflow room/banquet room in the back for extra seating. read more

Loved the outside seating area. The pork belly, combination, and shrimp mazatlan were my favorites. My husband is a birria hound, and currently touts nixtaco for having the best flavor profile. The tortillas are super hearty. We drove from Reno to eat here, and it was 100% worth it. read more
Happy 4th of July! We made reservations for 4 on the patio and were seated right away. Our server Cameron took great care of us and made sure we had chips and salsa throughout our dinner. We started the night off with margaritas!! Wow, they were perfect in size and taste. I savored the skinny spicy margarita and the hubs enjoyed the classic. The chips and salsa were crispy and tasty. The carrot habanero was my fav, it had a nice kick! I started off with the elote, it was good, cheesy and grilled to a charred perfection. The spicy shrimp taco was my favorite, not too spicy but buttery and cooked perfectly. The carne asada was all the rave, it was good but I wanted more. We can't wait to return and try everything!!! read more
the service was quick and friendly and i got seated and served right away on what i expected to be a busy day. the patio is modest but does the job. you get free chips and a salsa flight (!!) with a very interesting, standout peanut chipotle that was one of my favorites. they also gave me a whole bag of chips to go and large cups of the salsas to go as well. i got three tacos: quesabirria, chicken mole, and potato. the quesabirria was very oily and average. the other two were phenomenal! fresh tortillas, flavorful chicken and dipping sauce paired perfectly with crema, and the small crispy potatos were just chef's kiss! i was pretty full after the tacos but ended up getting a side of rice which i mainly took home with me and made for good leftovers. the rice was steaming hot when served, very flavorful, and full of cilantro (and luckily i don't have the soap gene). overall a great and affordable experience. will be back! read more
these are not your typical street tacos they're an elevated version of a dish in taco form. nix was a small little place and we arrived sunday around lunchtime. thankfully we were seated right away and served with chips and all of their salsa. my favorite was the octopus and pork belly!! the pork belly was sweet with the taco and the corn tortilla had a great chew on it. the combination is a chicharron taco cooked in chile verde sauce with shrimp. it reminded me a lot of the pork dish chile verde and how creative to put it in a taco!!!! it's a cute little elevated date spot i didn't get to try any drinks unfortunately but they looked delish! my only complaint is that these tacos were so greasy. they were delicious but i was not expecting them so greasy. read more
Great service and the food was very good. The salsas were a new take for me and something I have not tasted before in salsas. The margarita was incredibly tasty and you can tell it is a hand crafted beverage. We really enjoyed or visit to Nixtaco. I recommend the birria and short rib tacos- delicious! read more

Debuted in 2015 by Patricio Wise and Cinthia Martinez Sacramento's most acclaimed Mexican eatery is tucked away in a Roseville Strip-mall, the corner slot adjacent a church continuing to draw Michelin Bib Gourmand acclaim each year since the guide expanded past Napa Valley. Unassuming from the outside, an outdoor patio giving way to booths and tables stretched along the open kitchen, light music plays while guests peruse a menu of Tacos and Burritos rooted in tradition but unafraid to have fun. Natives of Monterrey, but not afraid to riff on the Capitol's "farm to fork" ethos by calling their concept "Farm to Tacos," all tables begin with complimentary housemade Chips alongside four Salsas ranging from mild green to smoky Peanut and fiery Habanero Carrot. Proud of their process, educated servers discussing everything from nixtamalization to the slow-cooked Proteins, options run the gamut from Esquites done the right way to Birria de Res complete with a sidecar of Consommé. Priced $6 to $9 per Taco, pricey but justified by the quality of each bite, Chicken Mole skips sweetness in favor of earthy aromatics complimented by Crema while Fried Chicken and the signature "Nixtaco Combination" are busy but tasty while nearly overwhelming the faultless Handmade Tortillas. Faced with tough decisions for Dessert, though staff suggests Flan over Churros, a $10 square arrives oversized and soaked with Caramel atop density and creaminess that features no air pockets but rather a texture akin to French Crème Caramel but better. read more
The service was very quick and everyone was friendly. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not rubbery or fishy in the least. I do wish they gave more chips. The poblano tacos were a little over filled. But the tortillas were delicious. Not sure what people said in the comments but they were perfect. I don't think it's Michelin level but it was good nonetheless. It was very packed and they still made sure everyone was taken care of. It was nice to try but I probably won't come here again, a little too Americanized. read more

Saturday afternoon was easy for us to walk in and get a table. I would definitely recommend indoor seating because we watched flies through the windows landing on other people's food. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved the flight of salsas. It was my favorite part and would love to buy jars to bring home lol. All three tacos tasted good, but I'd say the pork belly was overrated. Parking looked kind of limited and shared with other businesses with tighter spaces. read more

This taco place came across me on IG, worth the stop! Vibes were a bit dark and loud but the staff were very friendly. The tacos were amazing, not your average run of the mill tacos, make sure you don't over order as I got full with only 2. Enjoy it with every bite read more
This place is absolutely incredible!! It's one of places that I must go to whenever I go from SF to Sacramento. A bit more driving it is but well worth it. To start off they serve you chips with 4 kinds of salsa, all of which are so tasty in their own way that sometimes it's hard to decide which salsa you want on your next bite! Next their tacos are huge, absolute units. The size is more than satisfactory. Their fillings are bold and have layers of flavor which show their care and craft. Me and my friend we've basically tried everything on their menu by now and we've developed our own little ranking of what to order. For us, the absolute must gets are the pork belly, roadkill, al pastor, porky shrimp tacos! The refried beans that they put on some of the tacos is so good and matches exceedingly well too which was a big surprise to me. Definitely worth a trip! read more

Well NixTaco wasn't what I had hope it would be. The restaurant was average in size, decor, and cleanliness. The food was over priced for the quality of the food. I ordered 4 tacos Total, Carne Asada, Queso Birria, Caritas, and the Al Pastor. Both pork tacos were very salty, the Al Pastor completely missed the mark. The Queso Birria was decent but was lacking in flavor, and just dont order the Carne Asada. The best part of my experience was the servers, they were welcoming and attentive to our needs. I wouldn't return for the food. read more
We came here years ago (back when you'd order at the counter). We were in the area & decided to try it out again post-Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. We got lucky to be seated indoors right away by the hostess on a Friday at lunch without a reservation. Inside, there are tables, booths, & a bar. Outside is a small patio along the street side. The ambiance is a little loud, with a lively, casual vibe. Our server was friendly, smiley, & attentive. He poured us our waters & left us a cold glass bottle of water. He also presented the complimentary chips & salsas, explaining the 4 flavors. They were a great way to start! We also got a Paloma which was refreshing. Tacos we got in order of how we liked them (we liked them all)-- Nixtaco Combination--a lot of yummy flavors going on Octopus--tender with a nice touch of acidity Pork Belly--unctuous & soft with a little sweetness Road Kill--great smoky flavor Pork Al Pastor--tasty & tender Rajas con Queso--vegetal with pops of sweet fresh corn It was all flavorful & delicious! You can get quite the variety of tastes & textures with all the menu offerings. Though tacos we got were described as having multiple flavor components, I couldn't necessarily distinguish all the tastes because they felt muddled. Still, they made for some tasty bites. There's a lot of sauciness/greasiness going on with some of the tacos, & while the tortillas hold up, they can be a little messy & drippy to eat. Was very excited to try this place, especially after its Michelin recognition. Don't let the strip mall location phase you. While the vibe is very much neighborhood watering hole but I suppose being in Roseville makes everything a little more upscale. Very cool decor all around the restaurant, but they are definitely selling their T-shirts, as well as themselves, with all the framed newspaper clippings on the walls. There are a lot of staff working very hard, and they all seem very friendly and welcoming. We were offered a quartet of salsas ranging from mild to spicy. The second one was a peanut chipotle, very good flavor. The mild was also extremely good for a basic salsa verde. The last one was very flavorful but a little too spicy for my (weak) taste. We noticed the bar was well stocked, even with Pliny the Elder on draft, but they don't seem to have a soda stream. Our Diet Coke was from a can. We ordered the Mac N' Chich, a macaroni and cheese with pork belly and chicharron dust. It was very good, very flavorful. We also ordered a variety of tacos to share. I enjoyed every taco, but I don't think there was anything extraordinary. I think my favorites were the combination shrimp, and the barbacoa. The octopus one was a little bit of a let down. I think there was a little too much liquid overall. Flavor was great though! The grilled cheese on several of them was a great plus! What is the best taqueria doing in a Roseville strip mall!? We found this place while looking for lunch driving home from Tahoe. We walked in at 11:30 on a sunday and got the last table- it was already packed. The tacos were some of the best we've ever had and we're obsessed with their salsa too. The staff was so nice, going over all our questions and bringing out more of our favorite salsa flavor. The chef and owner was cooking in his home city of Monterrey, Mexico and brought all the flavors and concepts to Roseville. They also distill their own tequila if you want to take home a gift! read more

Wow! What an experience each taco was made to perfection and true culinary experience. I had the pork belly taco and the nixtaco combination. Followed by home made fresh crunchy chicharrones with just a lite sprinkle of limon and chile. It's was so lite and airy melted in my mouth. The pork belly taco was my favorite. Slow roasted belly slab,glazed with star anise and coriander infused honey. The slab pork belly had a little crunch and blended nicely on top of the homemade blue corn tortilla. The Nixtaco combo was loaded with shrimp and beans bold flavors without being overwhelming. I ended up ordering the churro for dessert lite airy served warm with a Carmel Sauce very authentic. Before I even get into how amazing the food is, I have to give a shoutout to Marissa and Anthony, the wonderful bartenders at Nixtaco. Marissa was incredibly hospitable, walking us through the menu and sharing some of her favorite tacos. Anthony was just as welcoming, offering great local tips and some fascinating insight into the distillery. Now, let's talk about the tacos, hands down the best I've had since moving to the area! Each one of the four we tried was packed with flavor, beautifully presented, and made even better by the handmade blue corn tortillas, which really take things to the next level. The drinks were just as impressive -- fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully crafted. If you're looking for a charming, family-owned spot with incredible food and great vibes, Nixtaco is a must-visit. We ate here for my forty first birthday. Jax was the person who was the one taking out orders. We decided to eat outside since my brother was told it would be half hour wait to be seated inside. What I mainly ordered was all the vegan/vegetarian tacos, I can remember that my brother got a sampler thing? That is all can remember since I am going through this TBI, where I tend to forget a lot of stuff. We were about to eat somewhere else until I remembered Nixtacos that I tried way back. read more
Delicious tacos! Loved the huge variety of choices on the menu, including a number of vegan options. Quite a bit pricier than what I'm used to paying for a taco, coming out at $6-$7.50 per taco and the tacos aren't big (street taco sized), but I could definitely tell that the ingredients and meats were of high quality. Service was excellent and staff were super friendly. Really enjoyed the complementary salsas and the server gave me a generously sized extra salsa (my favorite, the carrot one) to go. I don't find myself in Roseville too often but would definitely go back to try their burritos! read more

Decided to have a date here with the hubby after seeing this place mentioned in a YouTube video. The mole was my absolute favorite! I would come back for that alone. Very good food! Need to try everything else next time! read more

The Folsom location is newer and nicer. I think the A/C struggles when it's really hot at the Roseville loc
Does they have another phone number? I keep trying to call their phone number and it sends me to a voicemail that is full.
A friend told me they had a taco sampler platter here a few years back but I don't see it on the menu. Is this still a thing? If it is, anyone know what you get, price, etc? Thanks
I've been there several times and not seen a sampler. But, try a few different tacos every time you go and you'll find your favorites!
Can we bring our dog & eat outside?
Dogs are allowed outside but not inside the dining room.
