After class they are always happy, encouraged and excited about coming back. We continue to choose Arts Avenue because we know the teachers genuinely care about our girls and provide a loving and encouraging environment for them to learn and grow in dance. This year we have classes with Ms. Kate and Ms. Alex. Ms. Kate is highly qualified with a B.F.A. degree in dance and choreography with many years of professional experience in those areas. She is always kind and patient, but encourages setting goals and challenging her students to grow in their skills. Besides directing the company team (which has been winning lots of competition awards), Kate has choreographed beautiful ballets for the Arts Avenue team performances the past two years. Ms. Alex is currently pursing a degree at Southwestern University with a minor in dance where she is also the Pom Squad Captain. Ms. Alex loves many genres of dance from ballet to hip hop and makes her classes really fun. She is always kind and fun but is also very organized with lesson plans and goals to encourage her students to grow in skills. This year she even organized a fun Pom Camp for the kids with Southwestern University and they were able to perform for the university basketball game. As long as our girls continue to love their teachers and grow in their skills, we will continue to highly recommend Arts Avenue!

Those details--rehearsal schedules, dates, and location--were never communicated. When we asked for clarification, we were told the studio was still working through the details, which is unacceptable given that families had already paid. To make matters worse, the studio attempted to attribute the confusion to my child rather than taking accountability for their lack of communication. It also became clear that the studio prioritizes its competition team, while other students receive significantly less organization and preparation--despite paying for recital participation and costumes. We expected a much higher level of professionalism and transparency.

Dance With Me Austin caught our attention because they offer dance lessons for wheelchair users…read more They're located inside The Domain, and when we arrived, the first thing I noticed was the wall of glass windows. You can see everything from the outside, and I'll be honest, I felt a little awkward knowing people could watch us. Once inside, I noticed several couples dancing with different instructors and had a moment of nervousness, wondering if there would be enough space for us. Then we met our instructor, Johnny, and all of that disappeared. He is an absolute delight. From the start, he made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease. I quickly forgot about the windows and the other dancers. We had plenty of room, and that's entirely thanks to how Johnny guided the lesson. Even though we were doing a shorter intro session, he managed to teach us all the basics to the song we chose. Somehow, it felt incredibly intimate and personal, even in such a large, open space. We had so much fun that we've decided to continue our lessons. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for an inclusive, welcoming place with truly wonderful instructors.

The instructors are beyond talented, but what makes them so special is their kindness, patience, and the way they believe in you even when you doubt yourself. They meet you where you are, and then somehow bring out the very best in you every single time. Over the course of my journey here, I've not only learned how to dance with more skill and grace, but I've also found a community filled with joy, encouragement, and laughter. Every lesson feels like a celebration, and I always leave lighter and happier than when I came in. Dance With Me isn't just a studio it's a place where confidence, artistry, and friendships grow. I'm forever grateful for the love, passion, and family I've found here

She was in FULL meltdown mode and it wasn't fun!! Fast forward to this summer and not only did she have an INCREDIBLE season, she's now doing a SOLO for the upcoming season! We're in absolute awe of how much she's grown in just 3 years of dancing, and we have TDA to thank for that! I also take (adult) classes at TDA and it's been wonderful for my mental and physical health! This really is our safe space and we wouldn't change it for anything. We're actually having dance withdrawals...we can't wait for the season to start! Thank you, TDA!

But above all of that they love each dancer in their uniqueness- not demanding conformity of personality & body type. My daughter has absolutely thrived in the past 18 months we have been here. Being very shy, and sometimes socially challenged, we have seen her come out of her shell and truly show a love and joy for dancing as well as her teachers and classmates. For the first time ever she asked to choreograph a dance for a school PTA competition. Thank you TDA and Ballet Academy North helping her express herself through dance

My daughters just finished dance camp this week and it was the most fun week of their little lives. Mrs. Tracey and Mrs. Michelle go all out in making sure the dancers and campers have an amazing time. But truly, it's the recital that steals my heart every year! As a dad, this place could not make me more prouder of the joy they bring out in my daughter…read more I am not a dance academy dad or a "helicopter parent" but I can personally testify to witnessing the caring instructors and meticulous concern they have towards the kids enjoying the freedom of dance. I have attended a year end dance recital with ages from toddlers to teenagers and was impressed (along with many other parents/families). Their care and showmanship convinced me when my daughter said: "daddy I want to dance on that stage"... that's all a parent needs to hear to know that your child enjoys what they do and how they help the kids reach that goal. The staff is always informative, the facility is clean, they have basic coffee, cakes, and refreshments for sale while you wait in the lobby, and while you wait in the lobby... you can watch your child's classes on large screen TV's from the cameras they have mounted in the room. Personally, I think this is the best way to help parents monitor the kids and isolate the instruction. You can see that the kids are NOT distracted by observing parents and you can silently smile knowing that they are getting personalized instruction. In my daughters group there are boy dancers as well, and as you know, boys play like boys; the instructors handled all situations well and kept the whole class of 10-13 students on time and focused with instruction. Our daughter is attending the Jazz/Tap/Ballet and the program really does develop her skills in dance, understanding of the dance, and allows her to just be a kid to overcome stage fright or show nerves. I am not sure how long we will attend "The Dance Works", but we will as long as our daughter wants us to bring her there.
