This place never fails to put a smile on my face. The friendly guys behind the counter are fun to watch as they go with the huge flow of people while jamming to some of the eclectic music they have playing. If you go around lunchtime, be prepared for a line. But hey, there wouldn't be a line if the food wasn't amazing. Most times I don't even mind because you can do some great people watching from the corner windows and there's so much fun stuff to look at all over the walls...my favorite is the painting of the devil sitting on a toilet. Had one of their burritos and was really unimpressed. The Guacamole was pretty bland, and the burrito itself wasn't any better than a Chipotle equivalent. Perhaps I'm spoiled by having good, authentic Mexican food readily available in my home state, but this place didn't impress me much. Also, as other people have pointed out, this isn't really Mexican food, it's the very Americanized Cilantro Mexican than Qdoba/Chipotle have been pushing for years. If that's what you want, go for it, but if you want real Mexican food, go elsewhere. read more

This is the only place I've ever gotten a Plantain Burrito and it's my favourite burrito ever! I go here and get a Plantain Burrito whenever I'm visiting in New Bedford (sometimes even multiple times-- no guilt here, haha). Everything I've ever ordered here has never disappointed.. i tend to stick to the usual, tostada salad which is actually really filling with rice and beans at the bottom and topped off with shredded cheese. They make me feel comfortable, always attentive, and accommodating if I want to change something. Food is phenomenal!! I usually get the same things when I go, tostada salad with bbq chicken minus the roasted red peppers and throw in some jalapeños, or I get the spicy bbq burrito. It is owned and operated by a great, local man who wanted to help revitalize downtown. I've been frequenting No Problemo since before they added the bar and sit down area. Back then it was just a couple of skateboarder dudes who liked to make burritos and jam out with their band upstairs. They used to be BYOB which was awesome because you could bring a six pack in with you, throw a beer to the cooks and get an extra dank meal. Since they added the expansion the place is a little more upscale. They still do a killer lunch business so be prepared to wait during peak hours. The food quality has not changed, which is awesome, and you still get a monstrous burrito for a very reasonable price. I'm glad to see that a couple of nice guys were able to turn a lunch counter into a successful restaurant. I only wish that the rest of New Bedford could experience such a transformation... read more

This is our family's favorite taco joint ever. My wife loves the spinach salad with black beans and my son loves all of the delicious quesadilla options. I'm a huge fan of the shredded beef tacos that are always cooked perfectly, with juicy meat and delicious cheese, lettuce and salsa on a soft tortilla. Stumbled in this afternoon while in the area and had a craving for a burrito. Ordered the steak burrito. I was definitely surprised with how big the crowd was. There was about a 15 minute wait after ordering before getting the food. Overall, the burrito was definitely well sized. I would've liked some more salsa or hot sauce/ spice within it but that's personal preference. I got a side of the plantains as well and they were absolutely delicious! I grew up in New Bedford. But, didn't experience No Problemo's food until I was in college (probably home on break) and I was instantly hooked. I moved to Maine right after graduating so when I am back in New Bedford I make it a point to stop in for a burrito or quesadilla and some beer. I really enjoy the ambiance and the wait staff has always been nothing short of excellent. I have been in there while busy and while dead and they always find a way to keep things moving. First off, we love this place. It's unique tastes, ambience and low costs make it a staple in our going's out. Even the service, which I would normally say is subpar, is part of that ambience. I think it's a part of their model and it works so well. Every time I eat there, the wait staff makes me feel like I'm pretentious and I should feel bad that they wait on me.
