I've brought a couple students here and they love the food here too. The place is cute inside, there are picnic tables to eat at outside, and it's clean inside. The staff I have encountered at the restaurant are kind and give great recommendations! Parking is plentiful on the street and it's a 4 minute walk from the airport. Worth going to!

They don't have a menu up on the wall; instead, they have individual menus that you can take to a table and then you go up to order at the register when you're ready. I inquired about beers they had on tap which they didn't know off the top of their head. I was not exactly a fan of the price. I ordered two of the taco combo plate that comes with 2 tacos, beans and rice which cost about $18.5 each for two plates, and a glass of beer. The total came out to $50 and didn't include the tip. They don't have real silverware, instead you're given disposable wooden utensils which I did not like. Apparently in an effort to continue to be sustainable, if you want salsa or other sides for your tacos, you're supposed to take your plate to their self-service condiments area to put it on your plate. The staff were also weird about just providing the small salsa containers. The handmade tortillas and rice were delicious, but I've definitely had tastier tacos for a fraction of the cost at other places. The staff were attentive in picking our plates once we had finished eating, so that was nice. All in all, I am sure there are better places that are more inexpensive than this place.

The birria was tender, flavorful, and a huge hit with all of our guests. We had so many people compliment the food and ask where we got it from! The entire catering experience was great from start to finish. The food was set up beautifully, everything was organized, and it made one less thing for us to worry about on such an important day. Thank you, Chubby Tacos, for helping make our daughter's baptism so special! We will definitely be recommending you to our family and friends and will be ordering from you again!

I ordered a street taco with pollo because the photos looked so good! And I got the large nachos with birria (shredded beef in stew) with everything on it. (There were only these two meats available, so I wanted to try them both.) The order came out in roughly 15 minutes, which was good. The size of the items were okay, but surprisingly the meats were not very warm. The taco looked bland, but it tasted good with the cilantro and diced onions. The nachos, on the other hand, was underwhelming -- mainly because it sat underneath a mountain of what looked and tasted like Velveeta cheese. The squeezed dollop of sour cream didn't make it look more appealing. I think the tacos and platters are the way to go.

I also got a really fresh-tasting spicy California roll. Hubby thought his nigiri was really fresh too. I also tried their udon. The broth was light, but flavorful and it just felt really restorative. It came with rice and pickled daikon radish. I have never been served udon this way, but the rice was yummy! For drinks, I got a very generous $8 glass of sauv blanc. Honestly, everything was really reasonably priced and the service was good! A cute little spot serving authentic Japanese food in the middle of Watsonville?! We will definitely return.

How many restaurants serve such a beautifully presented wide variety of fresh fish in their nigiri combo? Everything I ate here: the sushi, the vegetable tempura, the udon and rice was made to perfection. Needless to say this place is not a well kept secret in Watsonville. It can get busy on a weekend for dinner. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated and it was well worth the wait. Miyuki also has a nice community feel. It feels friendly and inviting and you can have a private conversation without needing to shout. It's definitely a very special treat to dine here.

The food is affordable, portions are solid, and the flavor tastes homemade and authentic. The $10 super burrito is honestly one of the better deals around right now packed, filling, and actually satisfying. The burrito itself had great flavor, a good size, and definitely didn't feel skimpy. Glad they opened the second location on Main Street too. The restaurant is an open space, it has a lot of seating options and since we came right when they open, they told us to sit wherever we want. We sat at one of the corners (if you want a little privacy that's the section you can choose). This is way different from all the Mexican restaurants I've been to. You have to go to the cashier and order and pay your foods at the same time. Which is a bit easier to do I guess. Then your food will be delivered to you at your table. I ordered a chicken enchilada. It's good for the price. My friends ordered different dishes and they loved it. They have clean bathrooms which is a plus. The only thing I would like to say is that the cashier that time was probably having a bad day coz she was giving us an attitude. Maybe next time, if you're going to be the face of the business, make sure you are pleasant to talk to
