Voila needs to do much better for my business. First, the wine list. Most of the wines available by the glass that I checked were inexpensive, poorly rated bottles. They were the sort of wines I would never expect to see featured at an upscale French restaurant, and being offered at prices I thought were wildly disproportionate to what was being poured. I finally found a rosé that I couldn't find much information about, so I asked our server a very basic question: "Who is the producer?" His first response was that the wine didn't have a vintage. Okay. That wasn't what I asked. I asked again: Who makes the wine? His next response was that it was French. Yes. I understood that. Who makes it? What is the vineyard or producer? After this increasingly bizarre exchange, he became visibly annoyed with me and told me. He took on an attitude suggesting I was somehow out of line for continuing to ask, and answered that it was from Provence. "I KNOW IT'S FROM PROVENCE," I responded. I wasn't asking for its country. I wasn't asking for its region. I wasn't asking for its vintage. I was asking a very simple question for an upscale French restaurant: Who produced the wine? This time he shot back, "I don't know," in a tone that suggested the problem was not his inability to answer the question, but my having the audacity to ask it. And here's the thing: not knowing would have been completely fine. I was there for a nice dinner, not an argument with a server. He could simply have said: "I'm not sure who the producer is. Let me find out for you." End of story. Completely acceptable. What isn't acceptable is an experienced server in an upscale French restaurant becoming irritated with a customer for asking a perfectly ordinary question about the wine being served. At that point, I was done. We stood up and left. I have no idea whether Voila's food is good. But after looking at the wine list and having this exchange, I had very little confidence that spending considerable money there was going to produce the kind of special evening we were looking for. If the restaurant knows as little about food as it does about the wine, I would not anticipate a good experience. So congratulations to Voila of St. James, recipient of my August 2026 Vin Ignoramus of the Month Award for exceptional achievement in answering the question "Who makes this wine?" with everything except the name of the person who makes the wine. My recommendation: Avoid this place.

I made them aware of what happened, and despite the seriousness of the injury, the showed no accountability and no willingness to compensate. They told me they would not compensate for any of the medical bills that I have incurred. This raises serious concerns about their food safety standards, and how they treat customers when things go wrong. In this case their was clearly wrong doing on their part. I would STRONGLY caution others before dining here!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Noco while visiting my son during the holiday season, and I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by our server, Parker, who immediately made us feel comfortable with his friendliness and professionalism. Being from out of town, we weren't sure what to order, but he patiently walked us through the menu, offering excellent recommendations and answering all our questions with ease. The hospitality didn't stop there. The manager, Anissa, was incredibly kind and welcoming. Her warm smile and comforting demeanor, even over the phone, made us feel truly valued as guests. As for the food -- absolutely fantastic. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the attention to detail was evident. The drinks, the service, and the overall atmosphere combined to create an unforgettable experience. From Parker's attentive service to Anissa's delightful management, Noco exceeded all expectations. We ordered the watermelon feta as our app - but before that a waitress comes around with a little picnic basket filled with FRESH BAKED BREAD served with garlic herb butter. Absolutely delish, both of the starters. I ordered the gluten free pasta dish and my mother ordered the chicken. She couldn't stop talking about how good the food was so of course we took some leftovers home so we could check out the desserts. We ordered the key lime mousse to share and the fruit was so insanely fresh, we had to ask where they get their fruit from and they said locally! Even though it was a busy night, the manager, Mike, made sure we found a table without a reservation, and he kept the atmosphere light and fun with his great jokes. Our server, Parker, was a bubbly delight--so attentive and personable, and truly made the meal special. I highly recommend asking for him when you're there! On top of that, the busser with curly hair and glasses provided top-notch service. I dropped a napkin without even noticing, and within a second, he was right there with a fresh one, making sure I didn't have to worry about a thing. This is a hidden gem in Saint James! I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the delicious food and amazing service. This is perfect for a date night or a family dinner. I highly recommend trying the clams they were cooked to perfection. The house made ravioli is also a must-try - the creamy cheese is simply divine. To top it off, the dessert menu is simply amazing, and the Nutella cake is the perfect way to end the meal. Listen when you're in Mastic, you have to stop by and get their Mussels! Yes Mussels! Especially in their spicy diablo sauce. You get a whole bowl full of 20 or more mussels for cheap! And they come with a side of garlic bread that soaks in perfectly with the sauce. Totally mouth watering! I also highly recommend getting their chicken parm! Thick cut chicken cutlets, with their hearty marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Truly a delicacy every time I'm in town.
