I think Julie must have been somewhere else and maybe thought she was at Noella Spa and Nails. I have been living in Avon for 12 years,the first six I jumped around looking for a nail salon that was clean professional and friendly. I found Noella six years ago and have not gone to any other salon since. I have never had a bad experience with any of their services. I am in that salon for one service or another 3-4 times per month, about 60 times per year and times 6years, would total around 480 visits as a customer and never one problem. I have ruined my nails on my own the next day and they take care of you, no questions asked with a smile. It is a clean, professional relaxing environment owned by a local family who gives back to the community. I love their Farmington location too, it's great when I need a quick service and I'm heading out if the valley. I have gone to just about every nail salon in the area and by far Noella has the best service, people and prices. The spa pedicure is relaxing and a must have!!! Every time I go in I'm pleasantly greeted and no matter how busy they are they do their best to accommodate and give accurate wait times when unable to take you right away. Even on the busiest days I've gotten the same quality service. I even bring my 3 yr. old and they are so great with her, they make her feel pampered and welcomed. I've taken her to places where because she is only 3 they give her less of service....not here, they treat her like a little princess. I can't say enough great things about Noella. I totally agree with Ivy. I, too, have been getting mani/pedicures at Noella for approximately 4 - 5 years. ( and quite frequently!) I have NEVER smelled chemical odors. The salon is extremely clean, comfortable, and customer friendly. The have an AMAZING staff that devotes their time, professionalism and expertise to the client. The minimum for a pedicure is 45 minutes. I'm not sure where Julie A. went, but it couldn't have been Noella Nail Salon. I HIGHLY recommend this salon to friends and family. Okay, I think that the previous reviewer is either a liar or Noella has really changed since she went there. They certainly didn't spend only 4 mins on anyone's pedicure, they usually spend over 30 mins. The people are really nice, it doesn't smell and there aren't any fumes, and it's almost always full. A downside is communication perhaps, the workers are mostly korean and don't understand english perfectly, but the people can usually catch the key words. Sitting in the massage chair while getting a pedicure is really quite nice. It's probably best to call ahead and make an appointment because sometimes it can be really busy. read more

I have been a customer of the salon for over 8 years since opening day. It is one of the nicest nail salons in the Farmingron Valley. The pedicures are wonderful even the regular pedi - a full 30 minutes complete with foot massages! The UV gel nails are also perfect everytime complete with a shoulder massage. The staff is always professional, friendly and greets me by name. I have recommended Noella to all my friends and family without one compliant. The owners Grace & Jonathon work hard to make sure all the customers are satisfied and happy with service. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I've been going to Noella for over 2 years and have only wonderful things to share. First and foremost, hygiene is a priority and each client is provided their own wrapped and sanitized tools. I usually buy the spa manicure and it's an experience second to none. My feet are so soft and the polish easily lasts 4 weeks. Manicures are usually more difficult for me as I have horrible cuticles; a great deal of time is necessary and I've never been disappointed. I travel from Waterbury to Avon because of the service. I can't remember how long I've been going to Noella, but it seems like forever. I was going to another salon in Avon when I discovered Noella and I've never looked back. I love their spa pedicure...they are very thorough and give a really nice leg massage before finishing up the pedicure. The staff is all smiles, so friendly, and always remember my name. My visit for a manicure and pedicure to this salon was totally positive. Bella, my nail technician, was polite and excellent at what she does. She was very particular about the manicure and I appreciated this approach as I am quite a perfectionist. My gel French manicure turned out perfectly and the lemon pedicure was invigorating as well as relaxing! I was exceptionally pleased with my experience at Noella. I have been using Noella in Avon for several years now and I have always been pleased. All of their services have been great and their staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. In the summer I spend a lot of time at the Cape and have not found any place as good as Noella.
