Walked in here on a Friday night during the summer and was able to get a small table without a wait. I really liked the aesthetics of this bar, it was definitely unique, sleek looking and cool digital visuals. The drinks were pretty good too. It had a pocha feel to it where people were mostly sitting or standing and talking in groups, not like a dancefloor bar, but the music was so incredibly loud that my friends and I were literally having to shout in each other's face to hear. The service was also a bit sparse and the volume of the space made it harder to flag someone down. If they just bring it down a notch I would likely return though. read more

We came here after a long day and got some drinks and the bar was just so attractive designwise and I really enjoyed the menu! We bumped into someone we knew here and it just seems like it's been super popular. We got a few cocktails and had a great time. We had the pink pantheress, Ahh-Ahh, and the pornstar margaritas. I found out about third place on social media and was pretty interested in this lounge/restaurant. I did notice some reviews saying that visuals don't really live up to the concept of the place itself, and that was one of the first things I had noticed. I wish it had been more interesting, it just seemed a bit pointless. Maybe it if it was synced up to the songs, or if there were movies/videos in the background. However, I will say that when I went, there was a corporate event so they had their own logos shown the whole time. The food itself was pretty interesting. I went for the scallion panckaes, jalapeños bites, and this saucy steak dish (can't remember the name unfortunately). Although I had definitely ordered too much, I really enjoyed the food. My favorite had to be the steak dish. It was a perfect medium rare, very juicy and addicting. Even the vegetables were addicting. Whatever they did with that sauce, they're doing it right because it's a dish I plan to come back for. The scallion pancakes were also really good and they had quite a height to them. I thought it was a very intentionally crafted plate and there were generous amounts of shrimp in them. The crispiness of the dough was so satisfying as well. Be warned however, it is a large serving so you may want to make some room for other foods, or pack the rest to go! Although it didn't taste as crispy after I reheated it, the flavors were still there. While I wasn't crazy about the jalapeños poppers, I think it's definitely something fun to share with a group of people. I think I could have enjoyed it more if they were smaller bites, and it would be a nice amount to share. It is also another filling dish. Last thing I noticed, and definitely more of a personal preference/observation - the aesthetic and concept of the place didn't really stand out to me or it wasn't conveyed the way I hoped it would be, but something I thought could have been cool is if they had mirrors as their ceilings. I always thought this place was just an art installation but little did I know it was also a trendy bar/restaurant! They were able to accommodate my party of 7 without any reservations (although it was slightly earlier in the night). Their snacks/apps exceeded my expectations! The fried calamari wasn't your typical calamari batter, but instead a very very light coating with this slightly sweet peanut jam, which surprisingly went well together. The seafood okonomiyaki was well-seasoned and nicely fried with a good mixture of meat and veggies. The croquettes were very creamy and buttery. For drinks, the Yuzu sour was refreshing as it was sweet. Would advise to stay away from the khee flower shots because they tasted kinda like water. They had a wide range of soju options. The vibes - felt like a mix between artechouse with large digital art panels and a lounge with a DJ playing club music. The tables themselves light up with a neon glow. As the night went on, they dimmed their lights and the music got louder. There are two floors. Staff were nice but at times are confused. We needed to repeat/confirm a couple of our orders and repeatedly ask help/service. Updating review as I've now come back to try their dinner! I'm pescatarian and so when they were out of the makis, I asked if I could order some of their other dishes but have bacon taken out / no meat as to accommodate my dietary restrictions. They said they would but promptly gave us multiple dishes with the meat still inside it!! I didn't realize until I took a bite that there was meat inside it which was absolutely horrifying. We didn't order food when we came here, got drinks and they were OK. The ambience is very loud because it's a club setting and has a lot of lights and mirrors around the room. The DJ is in the center near the bar as you walk in and there are small booths upstairs and downstairs. read more

While it advertises media art, it's essentially just a digital plasma TV displaying noflex across the screen. We visited on a Friday night, and there was a $15 cover charge per person, which included a shot that wasn't so good. As a group of seven, we found the place unusually empty, leaving us puzzled about the cover charge. The music was decent but leaned towards older tracks that weren't particularly memorable. Overall, I didn't enjoy my experience--maybe it was an off night, but I wouldn't return again. The cover charge didn't make sense for this kind of place. No one was dancing but us! read more

We walked in and it was pretty dead on a Tuesday night. My friend and unexpectedly drank more than expected and were there for a few hours. We got the green tea mousse cake which was pretty. We also tried the tiramisu martini and Korean yuzu sour. Both were good and used nice liquor as I didn't feel terrible after drinking them. Their Sauvignon blanc was nice too. They don't have beer on the menu, but the owner was actually sitting next to us and offered us beer, which later wasn't on the tab. That was very nice of him. Thank you! read more

The food is fantastic. The service is amazing, welcoming, and positive. Good for dates, hangouts, groups, and having a good time. The atmosphere and environment are popping, vibrant, and so much fun! A This restaurant/bar/brunch/Cafe is so unique. There is so much seating and no one rushes you to get out like some of the bars in Ktown. I am shocked at how good the food and dessert are here. A new cafe lounge concept from Seoul opened up near ktown called NoFlex. They are a cafe during the day and lounge at night, cool vibes but nothing special about the cafe aspect for food and drink. I could see this becoming another hot spot for going out compared to mission and den. It's not busy yet so easy to eat seated and quick to get service from the staff. read more

Overall, underwhelmed for a dinner place after taking in a show.

This venue has the potential to be so much more. Issue is a majority of the staff are not fluent in English. This is common in the USA (even in the venues I manage in Koreatown NYC - 25% Non-fluent English / 75% fluent in English). I am trilingual in English, Korean, and Spanish. I was really disappointed that I asked a Spanish server when the main DJ plays on Friday night in English. He just scoffed at me and left without even making an effort. I mean common at least make an effort to make conversation, I speak Spanish for crying out loud. At least say you are a server and will call a waiter (THIS IS THE BARE MINIMUM), this guy should not work in hospitality. Super disappointed in my first time here, NOFLEX has really good marketing since 4 months before opened, but I don't recommend coming here until they consolidate their front-end staff to the bare minimum required for hospitality. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order, however this is only after I complained that nobody is coming to our table. Even the servers acknowledge that this venue is understaffed (I definitely feel for them, it's not their fault, only management). Other than that, pricing is moderate, not too pricey for Midtown. I understand this venue might have growing pains as a new establishment but it's about the actual experience which is 1 star. Only because of the atmosphere (which is 5 stars) is why they get a 2 star. read more

The ambiance and aesthetics were on point, but the drinks were nothing special considering their charging hard liquor prices for soju cocktails. Now, let me get to the real issue - the staff, especially this guy named BB. He was beyond rude, practically pushing us out for the next reservation when we weren't even close to hitting our supposed 2-hour time limit. First off, no one came to take our order for the first 20 minutes after being seated. And then to top it off, the dude brought us the wrong check, blamed it on their system error, and didn't even bother to apologize for his screw-up. Instead, he doubled down and came back to rush us for the payment, even after the correct bill was handed to us. This was a server that never even served us in the first place so why is he so pressed about getting his tip and pushing us on? It's infuriating to pay good money and be treated like an inconvenience. If they're going to charge a premium, at least have the decency to provide decent service. read more

I came here for a work event in honor of a colleague's last day (who I suspect is VERY much the target demo) a few Tuesdays ago. My understanding is that we booked a 6pm to 8pm time slot, featuring an open bar - a cheaper open bar with house spirits, which is certainly what I would have emphasized to whomever had to review the bill later - and...ping pong. K-Town is only a few blocks from where we work, but it's JUST far enough where I rarely walk through it, and it also wasn't a huge destination when I was in college further downtown a little over 20 years ago. Seems edgy from my walks, particularly some of the divey restaurants, but there's probably a reason this might have literally been my debut in the neighborhood. Like nearby Five Iron Golf (and I'm guessing a lot of businesses in this area), Space Ping Pong requires you to go into a generic building lobby and take an elevator up to the actual establishment. I really don't remember this being a thing in literally any other NYC neighborhood but I'm open to feedback. There were employees downstairs - I think more so on behalf of the building overall versus specific businesses - that managed the influx of people and got them quickly onto the elevator and ultimately their destination. It was very blue in there. Space has a definite arcade/Dave & Busters vibe but also a legit bar, so you're getting some edgy, dim lighting to match. I had to deal with potential NJ Transit drama (a day that ends in a y, am I right?) so i only stayed for about 45 minutes. In that time, I did enjoy two refreshing tequila/grapefruits from the open bar, as well as several informal ping pong matches. On the booze front, these weren't particularly strong, which I didn't really care about, especially since it was a Tuesday and I wasn't trying to get into too much mischief. They tasted pleasant enough, and given that a lot of the alcohol here in terms of both spirits and cocktails was very obviously geared toward barely legal young pups (the menu massively gave off Hoboken) it was a marginal win for me. There was a food menu as well that I heard mixed things about after the fact, but I didn't sample the wares so who can say? That also looked like pretty generic bar food for what it's worth. I imagine people are coming for the ping pong primarily, not the refreshments. The ping pong? Also fine. I would suggest that the areas where the ping pong tables are have at least slightly better lighting. I'm not going to claim that the dim party lights played a hand in my ping pong mediocrity, but it WAS a little tough to see some of the lines on the table (which I'm sure have sophisticated names I'm unaware of). Just slightly brighter - you don't need medical examiner room vibes or anything. Also similar to bowling and its equivalent bumpers on the sides, maybe something to more easily catch or capture the errant ping pong balls? They DO have an employee or two pretty regularly going around with this scooper/sucker thing (I think they have this in golf too) but we had a lot of instances of ping pong balls ending up under tables or rolling off somewhere into the abyss. Debatable though; that's arguably part of the game and I don't think anyone's experience here markedly suffered as a result of a stray ball, especially given that there were tons of available ones to grab when the need presented itself. I didn't mind this. All respect to Space Ping Pong, I'm probably hitting up one of the restaurants next time I'm in the area.
