We came here after a long day and got some drinks and the bar was just so attractive designwise and I really enjoyed the menu! We bumped into someone we knew here and it just seems like it's been super popular. We got a few cocktails and had a great time. We had the pink pantheress, Ahh-Ahh, and the pornstar margaritas. I found out about third place on social media and was pretty interested in this lounge/restaurant. I did notice some reviews saying that visuals don't really live up to the concept of the place itself, and that was one of the first things I had noticed. I wish it had been more interesting, it just seemed a bit pointless. Maybe it if it was synced up to the songs, or if there were movies/videos in the background. However, I will say that when I went, there was a corporate event so they had their own logos shown the whole time. The food itself was pretty interesting. I went for the scallion panckaes, jalapeños bites, and this saucy steak dish (can't remember the name unfortunately). Although I had definitely ordered too much, I really enjoyed the food. My favorite had to be the steak dish. It was a perfect medium rare, very juicy and addicting. Even the vegetables were addicting. Whatever they did with that sauce, they're doing it right because it's a dish I plan to come back for. The scallion pancakes were also really good and they had quite a height to them. I thought it was a very intentionally crafted plate and there were generous amounts of shrimp in them. The crispiness of the dough was so satisfying as well. Be warned however, it is a large serving so you may want to make some room for other foods, or pack the rest to go! Although it didn't taste as crispy after I reheated it, the flavors were still there. While I wasn't crazy about the jalapeños poppers, I think it's definitely something fun to share with a group of people. I think I could have enjoyed it more if they were smaller bites, and it would be a nice amount to share. It is also another filling dish. Last thing I noticed, and definitely more of a personal preference/observation - the aesthetic and concept of the place didn't really stand out to me or it wasn't conveyed the way I hoped it would be, but something I thought could have been cool is if they had mirrors as their ceilings. I think the vibes of this place would have been really nice with that sort of feature. All in all, I'd come back again for the food! Pretty solid 4/5 dinner experience for me! read more

While it advertises media art, it's essentially just a digital plasma TV displaying noflex across the screen. We visited on a Friday night, and there was a $15 cover charge per person, which included a shot that wasn't so good. As a group of seven, we found the place unusually empty, leaving us puzzled about the cover charge. The music was decent but leaned towards older tracks that weren't particularly memorable. I always thought this place was just an art installation but little did I know it was also a trendy bar/restaurant! They were able to accommodate my party of 7 without any reservations (although it was slightly earlier in the night). Their snacks/apps exceeded my expectations! The fried calamari wasn't your typical calamari batter, but instead a very very light coating with this slightly sweet peanut jam, which surprisingly went well together. The seafood okonomiyaki was well-seasoned and nicely fried with a good mixture of meat and veggies. The croquettes were very creamy and buttery. For drinks, the Yuzu sour was refreshing as it was sweet. Would advise to stay away from the khee flower shots because they tasted kinda like water. They had a wide range of soju options. The vibes - felt like a mix between artechouse with large digital art panels and a lounge with a DJ playing club music. The tables themselves light up with a neon glow. As the night went on, they dimmed their lights and the music got louder. There are two floors. Staff were nice but at times are confused. We needed to repeat/confirm a couple of our orders and repeatedly ask help/service. I'm pescatarian and so when they were out of the makis, I asked if I could order some of their other dishes but have bacon taken out / no meat as to accommodate my dietary restrictions. They said they would but promptly gave us multiple dishes with the meat still inside it!! I didn't realize until I took a bite that there was meat inside it which was absolutely horrifying. We walked in and it was pretty dead on a Tuesday night. My friend and unexpectedly drank more than expected and were there for a few hours. We got the green tea mousse cake which was pretty. We also tried the tiramisu martini and Korean yuzu sour. Both were good and used nice liquor as I didn't feel terrible after drinking them. Their Sauvignon blanc was nice too. A This restaurant/bar/brunch/Cafe is so unique. There is so much seating and no one rushes you to get out like some of the bars in Ktown. I am shocked at how good the food and dessert are here. Here is what I've tried and nothing failed me yet. The food is moderately priced but everything is sharable and I think the portion isn't bad. A new cafe lounge concept from Seoul opened up near ktown called NoFlex. They are a cafe during the day and lounge at night, cool vibes but nothing special about the cafe aspect for food and drink. I could see this becoming another hot spot for going out compared to mission and den. It's not busy yet so easy to eat seated and quick to get service from the staff. read more

NOFLEX--a place that seems confused about its identity and audience. According to their website, it's the first-ever *Media Art Lounge* (whatever that means). It sounds cool and fancy, but beyond the label, I wasn't sure what to expect. From the moment you step inside, it feels like you've walked into a high-end Seoul nightclub/lounge/restaurant hybrid. The staff--Korean, impeccably dressed, and glowing with flawless skin--add to the sleek, upscale vibe. The space is decked out with futuristic neon lighting, massive screens displaying trippy visuals, and lots of room, so it doesn't feel cramped even with large groups. Our group of eight sat next to a tempered, backlit glass wall, which felt random but added to the whole aesthetic. There was a DJ playing absolute bangers, making the atmosphere lively and energetic. The first thing that threw me off, though, was how bright it was for a bar/lounge/nightclub. The music was loud and fun, but since our group wasn't really in a "dance and drink" kind of mood, it felt slightly out of sync with our vibe. We were more in the "chill and drink a cockatil" camp, which didn't quite match the energy of the space. The menu was another curveball. For a place with such a party vibe, it leaned heavily toward food rather than drinks. We tried some cocktails, and were pretty happy with them. Also sampled some meat appetizers and were ok with it- the skewers especially. As for the vegetarian options, there weren't many, but honestly, this isn't a place you should go to for the food anyway. We did try the Kyoto Hoji Tea Roll Cake, which was beautifully presented but ultimately just okay. It came with green tea ice cream and a generous dusting of matcha, which made it slightly bitter. The cake itself was soft but a bit dry and lacked flavor. Maybe I'm just used to desserts with bolder or sweeter flavors, but this one didn't wow me. The ice cream was fine, but its strong matcha taste wasn't particularly enjoyable either. All in all, NOFLEX is a cool spot to check out--just not if you're looking to have deep conversations or grab a casual drink. It's way too loud for that. The concept feels both intriguing and slightly confusing, but if you're in the mood to drink and party, it's worth a visit.
