If you're visiting Nashville, Noir Kitchen & Cocktails should absolutely be on your list. A very special friend of mine who lives in Nashville recommended this spot, and I trusted his judgment, and I'm so glad I did. I had tried to visit during my very first trip to Nashville in May 2026 with friends, but we couldn't get in. On my recent solo trip, I checked their website, found a brunch reservation available, and finally got to experience it for myself. First, I love supporting Black-owned businesses, and Noir did not disappoint. The restaurant has an upscale feel with intimate lighting and beautiful décor, sitting perfectly on the corner. One quick tip for first-time visitors: when you walk in, be sure to turn left to check in. It's easy to miss, but once I found it, I was seated right away. I arrived around 11:00 a.m. and was one of the first guests, and everyone I encountered was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Now let's talk about the food. I'm actually trying to cut back on bread, but those warm, fluffy biscuits were calling my name! Served with honey butter and strawberry jam, they were the perfect size and absolutely worth every bite. For my entrée, I ordered the fried catfish and grits. The catfish had the perfect crispy crunch, and the grits were seasoned beautifully. Every bite was flavorful. And then there was the white sangria...without question, one of the best sangrias I've ever had. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and paired wonderfully with brunch. From the atmosphere to the service, food, and drinks, this was an outstanding experience. Noir Kitchen & Cocktails has definitely earned a spot on my list of places I'll return to whenever I'm back in Nashville. If you're in town, do yourself a favor and make a reservation, you won't regret it!

The food, atmosphere, and customer service were absolutely amazing! We were in town celebrating a bachelorette party, so we ordered a variety of menu items to share--and every single dish exceeded our expectations. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. A special shoutout to Sanaa, our waitress! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure our group had everything we needed throughout our visit. Her outstanding service made our celebration even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy delicious food, a fun atmosphere, and exceptional service, this is definitely the place to visit. We had an incredible experience and can't wait to come back!

Noir is always going to deliver a delicious brunch and with the newly renovated interior design update, it's so cute too! The service was a little slow, but our food was fresh and yummy. We had a little bit of everything and I'd go back, but only with smaller groups.

The food, atmosphere, and service were absolutely amazing! We were in town celebrating a bachelorette party, so we ordered a variety of menu items to share--and every single thing was delicious. Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Our waitress, Sanaa, provided exceptional service. To top it all off, Chef Vanessa and Paris came out to personally greet us, which made the experience feel even more special. Their warm hospitality and genuine appreciation for their guests truly set this restaurant apart. We had an incredible time and will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

My go to restaurant when I visit Nashville. I personally think they have the BEST shrimp and grits. I don't even like shrimp and grits, but I love theirs. The service was great. Nice ambiance and vibe.

Southern comfort food at its finest. This will for sure have you leaning and catching the itis. Went in the afternoon for late lunch early dinner and it wasn't too crowded when we first arrived, but it's not a huge space so I def can see how this place can get crowded. Chill ambiance overall and the staff for very helpful. Yams and collard greens ranked high for what we ordered followed by the cornbread. The lamb and the catfish are solid mains, but the sides are where it's att.

During recent visit to Nashville, I has the opportunity to dine here for my sisters birthday dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. I love the Black & Gold vibe they have going on. There is a nice size bar sitting slighty in the middle of the dining area, with nice size table+chairs for dining in. We had a semi private table setting which fit all 8 of us comfortably. Our waitress was a sweetheart, who gave recommendations, attentative, and also patient with our party size. Most of us had mocktails that the bartender freestyled. It was so good! For apps, I ordered the hot parm oysters. I never pass on ordering oysters whenever they are available because not many places back home offer cooked oysters. I liked the oysters but they were a little salty. For my main dish, I ordered the lamb chop dinner which comes with 2 sides. I had the yams and mac+cheese. The yams were good. Not too sweet. The lamb was great. Well seasoned and tender. The mac was good also but had a lot of what appeared to be either pepper or parsley inside. I was so full from the oysters and mocktail, I took most of my main course back to the hotel. The food tasted better a few hours later lol I also had a cornbread muffin that was tasty also. I would for sure revisit her when I return to Nashville.

Can I just say this is the best restaurant I've had in a long time. Everything was so delicious. We went on a Saturday morning during brunch and they have buy one get one free lemon drops. I was feeling great off of the first few sips lol. And then when the food came out, I was impressed by everything on my plate. The macaroni and fried chicken were my favorite if I had to choose. The server was so nice. They began to get a little bit more crowded as we were eating and she continued to make sure she checked on us. The music was great and it wasn't too loud. I hate when I go places and I can't hear the person I'm dining with. Even the decor was nice, dark and moody, which I liked. They had a patio option as well, but we decided to dine in. Overall 10 out of 10 with highly recommend I can't wait until I go back to Nashville to eat here.

I was looking for a Black owned place to go when I came to Nashville and Noir did not disappoint. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Erika was nice and attentive. The music was playing at the perfect level, loud enough to enjoy but not too loud to hold a conversation. We had the wings, brussels, lemon drops, fries and Southwest egg rolls. Everything came out quicker than expected. Inside of the restaurant was beautiful, with plenty of yellow tinged lighting that made you feel like you were glowing.

Amazing drinks, food and atmosphere. Excellent service. Wow factor, a hot towel after my entree.

I'm giving three stars primarily for Courtney WITH THE FADE, who truly stood out during our visit. I brought my mom here to enjoy our happy hour ritual, but our experience was a bit of a rollercoaster. Courtney's Excellence Shines Through! We arrived and were seated 20 minutes after our reservation, which was a bit disappointing. Once seated, it took Courtney about 10 minutes to reach our table. However, she sincerely apologized for the delay and efficiently took our entire order. Despite being busy with two large parties, Courtney consistently checked in on us, which made a significant difference in our experience. The food was pleasant and enjoyable. The food runners who brought our meals were friendly and accommodating, adding a positive touch to the service. The Downside as we wrapped up our meal, Courtney brought us the check and to-go boxes. However, Jamyra approached our table, and what started as light chit-chat quickly turned passive-aggressive. Her demeanor shifted from friendly to rude, which was disheartening. Unfortunately, her behavior reflects the negative stereotypes often associated with black women in leadership positions, affecting how staff and customers perceive her. In summary, while Courtney's service was exceptional and made our visit worthwhile, Jamyra's attitude left a sour note. Here's hoping for better experiences in the future!

My friends & I stopped by Noir for a drink while hanging out on a Saturday. Its sultry decor leans toward a grown & sexy vibe. We didn't have reservations & found seats at the bar. It was lively, so if you plan to go on a Saturday evening, make reservations. It seemed to be a popular spot for celebrations & tourists. We only got an appetizer, but the food our neighbors ordered looked good. There's parking on the street & behind the building. Love: cocktail (sweet, well-made) Like: spinach dip (comes with pita chips); service (fine)

    Rasta pasta

Came to this restaurant last night for a team dinner. We had a reservation and were seated shorty after all of us getting there. We had a pretty big group, so I'm glad we were seated without having to wait a while. As soon as we sat down, our waitress asked everyone what they wanted to drink. We all did wait for a menu, however, they don't hand out paper menus, they have a QR code. We were with an older crowd, so i think they were a little bothered by that but everyone did end up looking and ordering. One of my colleagues got the spinach dip as an appetizer and i was able to try it. It was super cheesy with barely any spinach lol. It didn't taste bad, however, it seemed to be more of a cheese dip than spinach dip. The chips it came with were very tasty and just the right amount of crunch. My coworker also got the cornbread appetizer and he said they were really good. I got the Rasta pasta, which is really good. However, i didn't like the sauce that was on the chicken. I took the chicken off of the pasta and ate the rest. The toast was also really good as well . I love the fact that this restaurant is black owned. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

Parking was easy, with plenty of street parking nearby. We had a 5 p.m. reservation and arrived around 4:52. The doors were locked, and although an employee was standing just inside, we were asked to wait outside until exactly 5. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but it was about 95 degrees, I'm eight months pregnant, and we had three young kids with us. That wasn't a great first impression, and I think if reservations begin at 5, guests should be able to come inside a few minutes early. Once the doors opened, we were seated promptly. They had a high chair ready for our youngest, and our server was excellent throughout the meal. The restaurant has a trendy, upscale atmosphere, and while our oldest did great, I think it's a better fit for adults than families with very young children. One thing I really appreciated was that when we realized they only had glass cups available, our server found paper coffee cups for the kids. It was a small gesture that made the meal much less stressful. The sausage biscuits are still outstanding and easily my favorite item on the menu. The steak was good, but I wasn't impressed with the Cobb salad. Our kids shared the fried chicken and mac and cheese, and my husband ordered the pot roast. Our bill came to about $190 before tip. Overall, the meal was good, but it didn't feel like the special dining experience I remembered from previous visits. Between the rough start, the prices, and food that was good but not particularly memorable, I don't see us returning anytime soon. The service was kind, but for this price point, I expected more.
