The food at Noir was awesome and definitely worth the price. However, I am only giving it 4 stars as the whole experience was not 5 star worthy. The hostess did not answer the phone when I called to let them know that traffic was bad and that we would be 4 mins late for our reservation. When I got into the restaurant, the hostess and host completely ignored me at first and I basically had to push my way to the stand for them to acknowledge me. The ventilation system and air conditioning. We sat at the front door behind the hostess stand which didn't feel appealing. It was very humid. The back of the restaurant had a floor air conditioner, but the restaurant was completely smoked out. We had 11 guests with one waitress. She did awesome besides the kitchen forgetting orders. My first time at Noir was mid-July. There five of us. We'll, I started at the bar and got the 2 for 1 strawberry lemon drop. It was good. I cashed out at the bar before going to our table. I left a tip and realized gratuity was added already. Four of order from the "happy hour" menu. We had crab legs, wings, and spinach dip. My crab clusters and wings came out quick. Only the wings came out for the others. About 30 minutes later, the waitress was asked about the crab legs. It took her a minute bring them out. One our friends no longer wanted them but they gave them to her for no charge. Another friend order from the regular menu. She did not like her entrée and they removed from the ticket with no problems. The atmosphere was great and the wait staff was great! Free parking was great as well. My friend and I went here last night for Valentine's Day and we had a great time! The service was amazing and the food was really good as well. Since it was Valentine's Day, they did have a minimum to spend; however, because they didn't have many vegan items they didn't make us honor that. Our waitress was Niya who was great and very attentive. They had R&B music going with dimmed lighting, it was really nice. The only small negative is it's a tight space and can feel like you don't have much room on your table and are really close to the next table. But overall I will for sure return! read more

I enjoyed Noir. I've been a few times and the food has been consistently good and flavorful. I highly suggest making a reservation, the wait can be very long or you just might get seated; as they may be booked for the day. I would also suggest don't come super hungry because it takes a while for anything you order to come out. But I will say it's worth the wait. As far as the ambiance it's "cool". The service as mentioned before your meals will come out slow but the customer service I've received has been very good everyone from the hostess, , manger, chef, cooks, bartenders, and wait staff that I have been very personable and welcoming. Now for food recommendations.....From the times I've been hands down the: catfish, cabbage, rice and yams have been by absolute favorite! You won't be disappointed. read more

My favorite place eat when I visit Nashville! Great food and vibes! Owners are the best!

So, let me start by saying the food was delicious. We got the fried cauliflower, Mac and cheese, greens, catfish (a little too much breading) and wings and it was all delicious. Now, the service was a different story. Firstly, we arrived at the restaurant without reservations. I typically always do reservations but the restaurant's website required a credit card (understandable) BUT and stated it would charge you if we cancelled within 24 hours of your reservation which I thought was extreme since restaurants typically charge you if you are a no-show but I have digressed. Entering the restaurant, the hostess states they only have bar seating available. I inquired about the wait time for a table. The hostess acted like this was an odd question and couldn't answer it, she left her podium, returned and stated that we could be seated. However, we only had an hour and 20 minutes to dine. Now, personally, I would've left right then, but the party I was with decided to stay. I don't like a time limit on my dining experience. Especially since it took at least 20 minutes for anyone to come and take our order. Now the waitress finally comes and takes our order and was very unfamiliar with the menu and could not answer a lot of our questions. I ordered a drink only to have her. Tell me about 10 minutes after my dining acquaintances had their drinks already that my drink of choice was not available, so I declined to drink all together. At that point I was just ready to leave. Now to me. Dining out is about nuance. There were a lot of missed nuances during this experience. A huge one is me, receiving my food at least 15 minutes before my dining acquaintance is received theirs. Now this is a very peculiar situation if you've ever experienced it. The food was priced accordingly, in my opinion, not over priced at all. And like I stated before the food was delicious. However, they do add a Service charge and a gratuity to each bill regardless of party size . Now I don't have a problem with this, but I typically leave more in tips than The already added gratuity, which am my opinion does a disservice to the wait staff. Also, there was a gentleman taking and selling pictures while you are dining. Now, perhaps I was already tainted by the overall service of the restaurant but I found this extremely annoying to be asked to be photographed in the middle of my meal and then asked to purchase the the picture. Cheapens the restaurant in my opinion. Just get take out from this place. read more

The food portions were amazing.... My single girlfriends and I from Cleveland came to Nashville for a Galantines Weekend....Noir was suggested to us by our friend's daughter. Destiny was wonderful and I think it was Kalesta (forgive me if I misspelled your name) ensured we felt comfortable and were enjoying ourselves. The Keyboard player was the perfect touch... not to loud and seamless transition of tunes that made you sing while engaging in table conversation. The owner was in motion making sure everything was moving and guests were happy. We made reservations and we were able to take our seats within 5 mins of arriving. My friends and I received wonderful service from the team here. We were out late and in search for some good food. We initially walked in thinking they were closed, but Vincent, I believe he was a host, quickly invited us back in to dine. We sat at the bar where Asha gave us great service. All i will say is food was good but for my time visiting here from Memphis, my waitress was horrible she had a stank attitude never came back to check on us . I never got my drink or cluster. Her name was Na Quae. She made this visit horrible. And they have the nerve to put automatic tip. Not fare at all. Ambiance was a cool little vibe. I had a total of 9 people sitting in 2 different areas of the restaurant, which was fine. We were visiting from out of town. We saw this place on Instagram because of the lamb chops and the good happy hour. We walked in and the place was packed but we got seated immediately. As mentioned in past reviews, I was not happy about no paper menus. But we ordered 2 for 1 margaritas. I was expecting actual two margaritas but the other drink just came as the mixer in a tiny carafe. Then we ordered wings that came out lukewarm, lamb chops that were pretty good, and the star of the show were crab clusters. However they were extremely messy and we had to ask for a cracker. I would have thought they would have brought that out with the dish. BUT what really ticked me off was the bill. We were automatically charged for a service fee which pays the bus boys and bar staff of 8% and the server of 12%. I usually tip our server 20% anyways so that means I had to tip another 8% on top of that. Let's just say that was a very expensive happy hour that, for me, happy hour is supposed to be cheap.
