My mother and I have been coming here for years, and I would go anywhere else. First, we go to Anna and Maria, and they treat us like family. They Allen extra time on our pedicures, and that's especially important to us because we both suffer from ingrown toenails. They save my mother from having to an expensive podiatrist. In addition, the salon is exceptionally clean. They always have an A rating, and they take extra care to make sure that we never get a nail fungus. That's common in nail salons, but they use autoclave, tub liners, individually wrapped tools, etc. I've never had a problem here. But I've seen friends who go to other salons in terrible shape. They use high quality products, and their pedicures are long and very relaxing. They heat their massage oils and creams for an extra touch. We always ask for those two techs when we go. In addition, Maria does a wonderful job on my eye brows. Their prices are very reasonable for the time they spend and their attention to detail. The salon itself is also peaceful and relaxing. The guy who appears to be the owner was very nice. Unsure of his name. Tom, who did my nails does not appear to speak English. I would say something and he would say okay but would not do that. I asked for a manicure and full set and did not get the manicure but I could not communicate this to him. I asked for a pink or white glitter on top and he proceeded to do green and blue. He took his time to try to do a good job on my ombré acrylic and it came out okay. Could still use some work. Yen was very sweet, soft spoken, and a smart young lady. Her pedicure was relaxing. She has very gentle hands and although I would have liked a firmer massage, she focuses more on tense areas as she is in school for Chinese medicine. She took her time to take care of me. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I got a pedicure and they didn't let me know until I sat down in the chair that they couldn't do the type of style I wanted. Then I requested French tip and the nail tech did the thinnest line to where you could barely tell I had French tip on my toes. I asked her to redo it and she said they didn't have time even though I'm already in the chair. I let her know I did not like the work that was done and she still tried to charge me full price. I had the worst manicure and pedicure at this nail salon. Their regular nail polish was old and most bottles were almost empty. I chose a color and the nail tech kept adding acetone to it to thin it out. She barely did anything to my nails. Didn't soak them or use cuticle remover. Just a drill. Told me she doesn't cut cuticles. She applied 4 coats of nail polish which looked horrible. The polish couldn't dry because it was so thick and got messed up within the first couple of hours. It was chipping by the next day. If I wasn't short on time I would have had it removed. A guy did my pedicure and it took him 30 minutes to do one foot. The foot massage was almost non existent. He had no idea what he was doing. The lady that did my manicure finished the pedicure. For the price this place isn't worth it. What a waste of time and money! read more

I had some time to kill between appointments and decided to get a manicure. I read several good reviews about this salon and it was close, so I dropped in for a quick regular manicure. The salon was pretty and clean. I was not offered anything to drink, as some reviews indicated. My manicurist was gentle and the nails were well shaped, though the massage was a little lack luster. I sat for 15 minutes under the dryer. I gave a 25% cash tip (a sign requests cash tips). By the time I got home, my nails were starting to bubble. They look awful. I will never come back here. My first time coming was alright. I came with friends and honestly let them slide with the lack of professionalism we experienced. We laughed it off and enjoyed each other because that's what we do. I returned another time to give them a chance, and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed until further notice. Today, I came one more time because after looking up places in the area that were open, this is the first to come up, so I decided to try one last time. I walked in at 5:20. They close at 6:30. Went in 1 manicure and 2 pedicures and eyebrow wax. 1st manicure up charged 15 for collagen treatment never authorized for. Had powder manicure and next day went back since cuticles were not done and looked horrible and told must ask for service since cuticles are not included in manicure?????that's a first. 2nd. Pedicure was horrible and feet are so rough and worse then before pedicure. 3rd. Charged $29 tip on credit card but paid $31 cash since sign stated cash preferred for tips. Wow. Stay clear. Open dispute on charge card. Only agree with eyebrow wax and one pedicure for granddaughter. Still shaking head at sketchy level of bait and switch and fraudulent charges placed on my credit card. What a relaxing experience!!! I had to find a half-way meeting place for my friend and I to meet, and Yelp helped me narrow down a good area. In a section of Asheville with seemingly 100 nail salons, the great reviews Noire already were 100% accurate. The pedicure room has soft lighting, and the glass of Chardonnay was a very nice treat as well. Both technicians took a long time to make the toes sparkle and the massage chairs were comfy. I absolutely would and will make an appointment again at Noire. My friend and I both did the $35 service and have nothing but compliments about the service, the location, and the staff. I've been coming here for a few months now. Haven't had any issues. The last time I went, the nail tech I got was so rough with me I kept flinching and pulling my hand away from the pain. She made my nails bleed on multiple occasions and made my nails so square that they were sharp to the touch. I decided to give it another go and the gentleman I received today I believe was new. I asked to take my tips off and instead of soaking them off he used another fake nail to pop them off and ended up ripping 2 of my real nails off in the process and when I said something he couldn't understand me and just laughed and said "I don't know". My gel nails didn't fully dry and he almost didn't cut my cuticles and I had to ask before he started painted. They went to charge me for the acrylic removal and I said no because he didn't do it the proper way and ripped 2 of my nails off. They proceeded to charge me for the acrylic removal even after seeing what happened. I will never be coming back here. read more

So when I decided to try this place out for a change, I was blown away!! Kevin and his staff are excellent. They actually treat you like a human being. They treat the experience the way it's supposed to be handled -- as a relaxing and luxurious treat. From the moment you walk in the door and are immediately spoken with and offered a beverage (including wine! Yay!) to the services themselves, and even until you leave, you will enjoy your experience here. I highly recommend their SNS manicures (dip powder) as they last for forever! I would also very highly recommend their pedicures. They are done in a dimly lit and relaxing room in massage chairs. I am now a regular. I've been here three times, and both times were negative experiences. Staff were rude, and services were mediocre at best. They barely touched my feet during my pedicure, so my heels were still rough, and the polish was sloppy. Once, I came in here to have acrylics removed, and the guy was super rough and cut me! He then proceeded to use straight-edge nail clippers, chopped off my natural nail, and didn't even shape them. As a result, the corners were jutting out farther than the middle of my mail, looked horrific, and were super sharp. On top of all this, the guy was acting annoyed by my existence the entire time. I kept going back because the facility itself looks upscale and pretty, and it's close to my house, but I just can't anymore! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. It is close to where I live and the cost of the manicure is ten dollars cheaper than where I was going. Let's see, where do I start? The first time that I went, the lady that did my manicure made four of fingers bleed. After that, she then proceeded to take the fingernail file and file the side of my finger, instead of my nail. Making a total of five fingers bleeding. Not once apologizing or even acknowledging that she did anything. A week and half after my manicure two of my fingernails broke. One fingernail broke in half and the other one came off completely. Always the optimist, I went back a second time (today). They close at 7:00pm, I arrived a little after 5:00pm. When I checked in I told them that I wanted a mani/pedi. I checked in and after a brief wait one of the ladies walked me to the chair for me pedicure. I finished up at 6:48pm. I was told to go to chair #5. After sitting there for five minutes a young male walks over to me and tells me that it is now 7:00pm, they are closed, and I will have to come back tomorrow. I was out done!! I have been getting my nails done for many, many, many years and this was the first time that I have ever been told that I have to leave because it was closing time. They were nice enough to tell me that I could come back tomorrow morning at 10:00am (in my sarcastic voice)!! This was the messiest dip powder I've ever received. My surrounding skin has polish all over them. The tech suggested I go home to try to wash it off instead of them removing it when I asked. Came here with a group of 4. Everyone was really nice. We had to wait a little while because they were low staffed. They have complimentary drinks, including wine. Gel manicures and regular pedicures cost $35. Regular manicures cost $20. My nail tech, Maria, wanted to practice her English with me and she was so sweet and spoke English really well. While Davis was amazing and very great to talk to when I got home a few days later my feet broke out with fungus this could have only been explained by the pedicure.
