We ordered to go from this spot a lot as I have loved their food ; my husband loves their beef kebabs, as they are juicy. I do wish they sold kebabs à la cart as the meal plates come with a lot of grains (lots of carbs), other than that, decent spot

Lovely halal, Turkish establishment with the most friendly owner. We ordered the cucumber salad and he gave us all the dips that come in the Mezze combination. Cucumber salad was light and refreshing. The other two dishes were tasty, although the owner kept showing us different dishes other tables were ordering, so now I have to come back to try the other entrees.

Loved Nomadic Kitchen! My sister & I visited Nomadic last Thursday and it was nice and quiet. I was a bit nervous because my one year never really had Mediterranean food before and I wasn't sure what she would enjoy but glad there were dishes that she actually likes! What we ordered: - Mezze Combination: I love that they have this platter of dips for you to eat with the fresh pita bread! My favorite definitely was the hummus and beets! - French fries: Standard fries, pretty crispy and fresh. My daughter enjoyed it. - Beef Kabob: The steak was medium rare and super flavorful! The whole plate was delicious! The two pilafs also were delicious and it went well with the steak! Thank you to the owner who also gave us rice pudding for our girls. It was super yummy and my daughter definitely enjoyed it. Overall amazing food and experience! Definitely will be back again soon!

Pretty good! Mezze combination 9/10 - HUGE portion with a nice basket of bread - can serve 3-4 ppl !! - didn't like some of the items but I don't know what they were - as a pickle hater, I was surprised to say I like Turkish pickles - it was nice to be able to try a lil of everything - I'm obsessed with the sesame bread, it was chewy and crispy and warm. Chicken & beef kebab 9/10 - their chicken and beef are SO JUICY, very well seasoned - idk what kind of rice is on this plate but the seasoned one is rly good, seasoned well and had a nice texture - portion is small but if you get an appetizer you'll def be full Overall, service was really good. He kept checking on us. Vibes were okay, it's like a family style restaurant but was empty. The only thing was the water cups look kinda crusty....so I drank from my own water bottle. Would come back!

We visited Nomadic Kitchen this past weekend and it's easy to see why they're so highly rated. We tried the mezze combo and chose the hummus, babaganoush, ezme, and mint tzatziki. All four were incredibly delicious. The bread served with it was also super soft and fresh. We also ordered the Nomadic Pide, which was another banger of a dish. It had the perfect blend of spices and cheese on a crispy flatbread. The lamb kebab was fantastic as well, tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be coming back.

Nomadic Kitchen has been one of those dusty bookmarks that we finally got around to try! It was quiet at 5 pm on a Saturday night. Many tables were available for our choosing. Unpretentious, casual cafe vibes! Service was friendly and efficient as well. ***OUR PICKS*** MEZZE COMBO (4) Our choices among 8 mezze: *cucumber salad ~ cucumbers tossed in pomegranate molasses vinaigrette. *babaganoush ~ roasted eggplant, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and spices. *hummus ~ chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and spices *pink lady ~ red cabbage, lebneh, and spices A basket of bread is complimentary. We enjoyed the variety of mezze. We liked the pink lady the most due to its flavor and contrasting tartness, hummus was creamy and babaganoush had a good smokiness (tied in 2nd place), and the cucumber salad was our least favorite. We would have liked the cucumbers to be crunchier and diced into cubes. They were sliced paper-thin, wilted, and soft from sitting in the pomegranate molasses vinaigrette. We didn't care for the texture, but the flavor was good. We thoroughly enjoyed everything else. The nicely warmed basket of bread was generous, yet necessary to eat with the mezze. They even put a small amount of other dips alongside our 4 chosen ones, which made it even better. It was also artfully displayed on a platter. Great starter! Next time, we will choose something other than the cucumber salad. Still, this appetizer was yummy! 5/5 LAMB KEBAB PLATE ~ they displayed the food nicely on a platter making it visually appealing and appetizing! Rice was fluffy and not sticky, lamb was tender and was well-seasoned with tasty spices, salad was colorful and fresh, and I believe the item that came with the meal was bulgar? It had a tomato-y flavor. Though it was not mentioned on the menu. Everything on my plate was prepared well and on point! 5/5 Kofte kebab plate ~ beautiful presentation of delicious food! My guy was impressed and enjoyed his meal. 5/5 Redwood City isn't a usual destination for us, but it might become one! We'll be back to try other things on the menu whenever we're back in this area. This was a memorable meal! I highly recommend trying Nomadic Kitchen, if you like Middle Eastern food!

I stopped by on a weekday evening early. The place was empty. It started to fill up while I was eating. Kofte kebab was my favorite item here. Kabob was flavorful. And the side rices and salads were excellent as well. Lahmacun, some call as Turkish pizza, had good flavors. I think it would have tasted more if there was more meat.

Really enjoyed Nomadic Kitchen in San Mateo! They feature a streamlined menu focused on heavy-hitting entrees and appetizers, which makes ordering easy because everything they do, they do right. The hummus plate is an absolute must-have. It features incredibly creamy, delicious hummus topped with vibrant cabbage and pomegranate seeds. It is surrounded by a beautiful ring of rich, colorful sauces, dips, and pickles that pair perfectly with the basket of warm, homemade bread. For the main course, the chicken kebab was a total hit. The chicken breast cubes are perfectly charred and incredibly tender. What really sets Nomadic Kitchen over the top is their beautiful plating and generous side options. The entree comes out beautifully arranged on a sleek black platter, complete with a fresh salad topped with pickled cabbage, a side of seasoned bulgur wheat, and a side of fluffy white rice. Having both rice options on one plate is a fantastic touch. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend sitting out on the patio area to enjoy the beautiful San Mateo sun. The service was completely solid, friendly and fairly quick, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get. I will definitely be back.

A cute, warm neighborhood gem! All of the staff were friendly with their jokes and warmth and made our dinner enjoyable. The chicken was very tender and extremely juicy. The mezze platter was a great variety (we loved the hummus) and the sesame bread was wonderful. Portions are on the leaner side so be sure to order extra things.

This place is legit. From the warm hospitality of the owner to the delicious food, Nomadic Kitchen has officially become a regular spot for me when I'm craving solid Turkish food. Our party shared the appetizer combination with four items, the cucumber salad, and three kebab plates--kofta, chicken, and falafel. Everything was absolutely delicious. The kofta was beautifully seasoned, the chicken was incredibly moist, and the falafel really knocked it out of the park. The cucumber salad was light and refreshing and paired perfectly with the appetizer plate, which also comes with freshly baked bread. The restaurant itself is smaller and more intimate, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was very welcoming, happy to make recommendations, and had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even better. Nomadic Kitchen is located on Broadway in Redwood City, on one of the streets now closed off for outdoor dining. Parking is easy to find by the post office or across from the fire station in the Marshall Street parking garage. Highly recommend if you're looking for great Turkish food in the area.

I stumbled across Nomadic Kitchen on Yelp and the reviews looked amazing, so since we're fairly close around the area, why not give it a try? It's Mother's Day weekend and I thought it would get crowded so we had an early dinner around 5:20PM or so. It was actually fairly empty when we arrived, but their outdoor seating filled up while we were eating. My partner and I shared a Babaganoush. He got a Lahmacun as his entree, and I got the Falafel plate which comes served with rice, salad, and a basket of bread. The Babaganoush was prepared pretty quickly. I would say it's one of the top babaganoush we've ever had. It's got a nicely smokey flavor to it, it's chunky, but also light. I also love the added small additional spreada surrounding the babaganoush. I'm not sure exactly what was in those, but some was creamy, some was spicy, and some were refreshing. A very nice appetizer with a bunch of different textures and flavors. When our entree came, I was mildly surprised at how large these plates were, but thankfully, it wasn't that the portion was huge, it was just beautifully plated, and I would say, portioned nicely (quality over quantity for me). The salad was fresh and had a light vinaigrette mixed in. The plate came with five falafels and a big spread of hummus for dipping. The falafels were kinda moist, and it had a nice crunchy outer fried layered, but not oily. The hummus was very smooth and had a nice flavor to it. As for the rice, that was surprisingly very addicting! It had a light coconut-y flavor to it and the rice had a slight mochi-like chew to it. It kind of reminds me of broken rice. It was a delicious entree! As for my partner's entree, it's his first time trying the Lahmacun. It's sorta like a meaty pizza on a thin flatbread and you wrap salad in it. It tastes pretty meaty by itself, but wrapping some salad it in balances it out nicely. This spot is worthy of the reviews. Service was very friendly, food came fast and it was absolutely delicious! If we lived around the area, this would probably be a top favorite of ours.

Just craving something, Mediterranean. My family picked me up from my work and we had dinner. I didn't want to have dinner that late so I told them we can just go somewhere around closer to where my work is. We ordered their appetizer combination with six different varieties and it comes with small pieces of bread. Tsaziki. Hummus. Babbaganoush. Dolma. I forgot the other two. And they even added three different ones as a sample and they're all good. I remember the other one is sun-dried tomato. The second one is something with beets and the third is something with cheese and they all taste amazing. We got the beef plate and also their flatbread with meat as Toppings it's like a mini version of a pizza, but a lot thinner and crunchy it's so good it's just a little expensive though the beef plate comes with rice, salad, and lentils it's a cute little place and we decided to eat on their outdoor seating by the street. It's so nice specially the weather was perfect The staff were nice and pleasant. I will come back again. They have a parking garage since parking is limited when it's busy recommend if you want to try something Mediterranean. You can also walk around either before or after you eat there is a cinema around the area

Those Stellar ratings... I see what the hype is all about. I was a bit skeptical about the stellar ratings. It looks like it was earned justifiably so... We walked past here a couple times and thought we should give this place a try. Well this was the weekend it happened. Nomadic Kitchen is a Turkish restaurant churning out some tasty food. A mid size fast causal small business with a decent amount of seating inside. It's in downtown RWC, so embrace the challenge of parking. lol #TurkishEats: ~ MEZZE: Mezze Combination - 4.5/5 Just about everything was excellent. I could have sworn we ordered the smaller of the two combination, but we end up getting the bigger combination. Oh well, no complaints. We got to try a goo a majority of the messie menu. ~ PIDES: Nomadic Pide - 5/5 Apparently according to comments from my fellow Yelpers, this was a must try it. So we gave it a try, absolutely no regrets; like a fancy craft Pizza / Flatbread. Best way I can describe it, since I don't know what a Pide is...delish! ~ ENTREES: Kofte kebab - 5/5 This was one of the best kabobs I've had stateside in a while. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The Entrees come with rice, salad and a basket of bread. Unbeatable value for some delish food. ~ basket of bread - 4.5/5 delish! I think this is made in house, and if it isn't I want to know where they buy the bread! I'll be a regular there... Service was good, all the food came out at a decent time. We got a chance to me Hasan, the owner and chef. Nice guy, very friendly. Great experience... I'll definitely be back!

Meyhouse Sunnyvale -- Excellent Food, but the Service Pacing Could Be Much Better…read more I tried the $44.95 three-course prix fixe lunch and chose the Köpoğlu as my meze, upgraded the main to the Adana Kebab for $3, and added the Künefe for $2. The food was the strongest part of the experience, and several things stood out more than I expected. The complimentary bread was excellent--warm, fragrant, and nicely textured. I also really enjoyed the green herb sauce served with it. The parsley and mint flavors were quite pronounced, almost grassy, but in a good way. It was fresh and aromatic and worked very well with the bread. The Köpoğlu was one of the highlights of the meal. The roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, garlic yogurt, and olive oil were very well balanced. I especially liked the garlic yogurt--the acidity, garlic, and creaminess were all present without any one element overpowering the others. The tomato added sweetness and acidity, while the olive oil rounded everything out. It was especially good with the bread. The Adana Kebab was also very good. My first bite came from the end of the skewer and was slightly dry, but once I got into the center, the meat was noticeably juicier. The char from the grill was excellent, and the lamb had a clear lamb flavor without being gamey. The chopped red pepper mixed into the meat also added another layer of aroma and flavor. Even the rice surprised me. It looked like plain white rice, but it was flavorful enough to eat on its own, with a noticeable buttery, almost milky aroma. The flatbread underneath the kebab was also very good after soaking up some of the lamb juices and fat. If I had one criticism of the main plate itself, it would be the proportion of onion-tomato salad to meat. The salad tasted fine, but for my preference, there was a little too much of it. I really enjoy the lingering flavor of grilled lamb, and while the rice and bread help carry that flavor, the raw onion and tomato act as a strong palate cleanser and erase it quickly. Since the meat portion was relatively small compared with the rice and salad, I would personally prefer a little more kebab and a little less salad. The Künefe was another highlight. I really enjoyed the contrast between the crispy kadayıf on the outside and the soft, warm cheese inside. The pistachios on top were not something I particularly enjoyed by themselves, but mixed together with the cheese, syrup, and crispy pastry, they made much more sense. The first few bites, especially the areas that had not absorbed too much syrup, were excellent. Toward the center it became a little sweeter than I prefer, but overall I still liked it very much. Food-wise, I would actually give Meyhouse a slight edge over Dishdash. There were more layers and more small details to notice throughout the meal, from the bread and herb sauce to the Köpoğlu, Adana, rice, flatbread, and dessert. The service, however, did not match the level of the food. The restaurant was quite quiet at lunch, but the pacing was surprisingly rushed. I had barely started eating the Köpoğlu when the main course arrived. For a menu specifically presented as a three-course prix fixe, I expected the courses to be paced more deliberately. Instead, I had to choose between continuing to enjoy the appetizer and eating the kebab while it was still hot. There was also an issue with clearing the table. One staff member who was not the person taking my order repeatedly tried to remove my bread and the green herb sauce. The first time, I specifically asked him to leave the sauce. Later, after I finished the main course, he came back and again started clearing both without asking. I told him I wanted the bread to go, so he left the bread, but still removed the herb sauce. It was a small detail, but it made the service feel mechanical rather than attentive to what the guest had already requested. Overall, I would rate the food around 8.5/10 and the service around 6.5-7/10. Meyhouse is a little more expensive than Dishdash, but the prix fixe lunch is also very substantial. I only ate about half of the complimentary bread, and I was already quite full after the main course. Finishing the Künefe left me completely stuffed, so the portion size is definitely generous. I would still come back. Next time, I would probably try the Ahtapot, especially since it is only a $9 upgrade on the prix fixe compared with $25 à la carte. The food gives me a reason to return; I just hope the pacing and attention to small service details are better next time.

**Rating take out only**…read more Ordered take out for Father's Day. I got the Sultana Combo, lentil soup, and a chicken wrap. The Sultana Combo looks like not a lot of food, but is actually a lot of food! 3 adults ate this, had their fill, but still had some leftovers for the next day. My favorite part was the rice, other people's favorite parts were the veggies or the soup (we don't usually eat a lot of protein, but the protein was also good!). It's not an elevated, elegant dish, especially not to-go-ed, but it's hearty, homey, and filling. There wasn't a part we didn't like or didn't think was worth the money. They have ample indoor and some outdoor patio seating; on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, seems lime many people opted for the outdoor seating. While waiting for my pick up order, there was one party in front of me that waited for (apparently) an excessive amount of time because the kitchen was backed up. The workers were extremely kind, and even gave them baklava as an apology! Small things like that show that the store cares more for the community than just getting orders out. My only gripe is that I felt like everything was extremely salty--the three of us were chugging water all night after our meal. I think the salt levels work well if there was plain rice or plain veggies, but when everything is salted so each part of the dish can be eaten alone, you end up feeling parched and bloated at the same time... not a good feeling. Regardless, recommend!!

The food is on the healthy side and perfectly portioned. I had a chicken plate with fresh veggies and just the right amount of rice (not too heavy!). I also absolutely loved the complimentary bread basket they bring out as a starter - such a nice touch. The Highlights: The Vibe: The interior, music, and even the restroom design are all in perfect sync, completely transporting you to the Mediterranean. The Service: The staff was incredibly nice, attentive, and caring. The Space: They offer a gorgeous indoor dining room as well as nice outdoor seating. A fantastic, healthy lunch spot with great service. Highly recommend!

Been meaning to try this place and glad I did. I ordered to go and everything tasted amazing!…read morePackaged well too. Tried their hummus with their pita bread and I really enjoyed it! The hummus is super creamy and light, not too oily. The pita bread is exactly how I like it. It's thin and light. Best thing to dip into that hummus. Also tried their lentil soup and really do appreciate that it is just straight up tastes like lentils. Other places put heavy cream or something to make it creamy and I don't like that. For the entree I had the beef shish and the meat was spot on. Juicy and not dry. You don't even need the sauce because the meat stands well on its own! That's how good it is. I am glad I finally tried this place and will say I'll be coming back!

We both had the ground chicken kebabs this time and they were much drier than they had been before. So dry that my fork couldn't cut through it easily. The waiter informed me that he was aware, but it was due to the cooking process. I wish I had sent it back early on, as I've never had kebabs that dry. We also missed the grilled tomato and pepper they used to add to the plate and the salad was very light and plain--it had one small cucumber slice and it didn't have much dressing. It was disappointing and I don't know if we'll be back again anytime soon.
