We started with the Mezze Combination plate, which came with a selection of homemade appetizers including hummus, tzatziki, piyaz (white beans), baba ghanoush, red cabbage salad, chickpea salad, tabbouleh, muhammara, and cucumber salad. Every component was vibrant and flavor and went nicely with the basket of airy, crispy, sesame-studded Turkish bread on the side. Amazing food! This was our second time here and we loved it again. It's really hard to find good Turkish food abroad, but this place is perfect. The first time, we had lahmacun, mix kebab plate, and Samsun Bafra pide -- all were delicious. The second time, we got lahmacun again, beef kebab, and lentil soup. Everything was super tasty. If you've ever been to Turkiye, you know their hospitality is legendary. And their cuisine is a source of national pride. Nomadic Kitchen is straight out of Istanbul. Think of flavors like toasted sesame, pomegranate, smoky red peppers, grilled meats. Even things you recognize like hummus and baba ghanoush hit differently. Turkish red wine is rich and fruity, and strong tea is served in traditional glasses. Not only is the food delicious, but the owners treat you like family. My husband and I went for a Friday evening out, early enough to still find a table for two. What surprised me was the number of patrons coming in with reservations! There were at least three different parties of 5-6 in the time it took to eat our meal. Lesson learned: if you want to eat here Friday through Sunday night, get a reservation. In winter, the outdoor seating area appears to be closed. The inside of the restaurant is a little spartan, but don't let that deter you. It's a young restaurant in a small space. Let's show them some RWC love so that they can upgrade to a bigger venue!! Last thing-- the olives have pits!! Be sure to check before you chomp. read more

Mains of kofte kebab and the lamacun were delicious. Portions very generous so we took some home. That gave us a little room to get the Kunefe. You have to get the kunefe for dessert! I have a confession to make. We were gonna try this place a few weeks ago - but when we got there it was real empty so we decided to go somewhere else. Don't make the same mistake! Came back again tonight and the food was all fantastic!! The portions are generous. The nomadic pide was delicious. And everything on our mezze was excellent as well (including the bread!). Last minute decision to have dinner here with the family (husband and toddler) and very glad we did. Toddler has multiple food allergies which can make eating out different. Words can not describe the excellence of the food and service here. We stumbled upon this gem after a quick yelp review. We ordered a cucumber salad, Nomadic Pide, Lamb Kebab and a Chicken kebab. After eating the salad and enjoying the flavors I was truly excited for the food that would follow, and they did not disappoint. Each dish was full of flavor and paired perfectly with it sides. We had the pleasure of talking to the staff and the owner Hasan who were so delightful, lucky for us we had a very early dinner so they had time to talk to us as the restaurantwas not too busy. He even whipped up a delicious artichoke mezze for us to taste as we wrapped up our meal, you can clearly see this is a man that loves creating meals that can be enjoyed by the likes of us. They offered such wonderful hospitality and the way they talked about the food preparation and the restaurant you can tell alot of love and care goes into the way the menu is curated. My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this newly opened Turkish restaurant. Everything we ordered was freshly made and delicious! We started with assorted Meze spreads and warm bread that was baked right before it was served. I normally don't eat that much bread but it was hard to resist as the texture was light and bouncy with a nice crunchy crust. All the spreads were equally flavorful and I loved that they weren't too salty which allowed the flavors of the ingredients to shine through. Our server Metin was fabulous and recommended that we try the beef kebab and it was delicious! We also tried the chicken kebab and ended our meal with turkish coffee and kunefe- made from a panfried shredded dough and cheese. The service here was amazing- Metin really took care of us and we met the owner-chef Hasan who took the time to share what ingredients were used to make his dishes. This brought a bigger awareness into the health benefits of some of these dishes (especially the Tarhana soup made with fermented vegetables and yogurt!) We will definitely be back to try more dishes. We left this restaurant with high spirits and full tummies :) read more

We found ourselves in the Redwood City area, yelped a close by restaurant but the wait was 40min! We decided to put our name down anyway and go for a stroll around the cute town. Didn't have to walk long before stepping into Nomadic Kitchen...what a gem! A new restaurant with the BEST Turkish food we've ever tasted! The owner is so passionate about the food and is basically an artistic food designer. Such hospitality with a genuine smile we took all his recommendations and as the food was set on the table our eyes were amazed at the beauty, then to taste it was amazing! My husband was insisting that we come back the following day to try more dishes...so we did (twist my arm hard enough ). We started with the huge sampler, then two different soups, chicken kabob, beef kabob and oh the bread!!! That bread he brought for the table was divine, so warm with the perfect texture and the sesame seeds added just the right flavor and crisp. The soups were fantastic, so warm and nourishing on a cold evening. The food wasn't heavy, it was fresh and delicious. The second day we had the recommended pizza, which isn't anything like American style and you actually fold it and wrap the lettuce mix into it to make a wrap! It was sooo delicious. Of course my husband had to reorder those beef kabobs and the lamb/beef kabob, and another sampler plate (smaller this time because he needed to leave room for other items ). My daughter reordered the lentil soup. He was such a generous owner that he wanted us to try his new drink for the menu, Nomadic Wellness Lassi! It's great for your gut health and probiotic, I was sold! It was (of course) delicious! If you like sour or look after your gut, check it out. The mezze plate normally comes with four items of your choice but they gave us taster portions of a few other items. It was a very unique plate with a wide range of items and everything was delicious! It paired very well with the warm and soft bread. This is the best restaurant in the whole entire world. The owners and staff are SO nice! Literally the nicest and most fun people ever. I just had a delicious lunch here! I came here with a group of friends, but I informed the owner that I was the only one eating and he graciously welcomed us! I checked out the menu beforehand so I already knew I wanted to try the Nomadic Pide. I really wanted to sample the Mezze Combination too, but I thought it would be too much food. To my pleasant surprise, the owner brought us a complimentary mini Mezze Combination platter to try! It was served with soft, freshly made sesame bread and I thoroughly enjoyed each bite of the platter. It included hummus, 2 kinds of babaganoush, cucumber salad, white beans, lentils, 2 kinds of tzatkiki, ezme, and pickled red cabbage. I then tried the pide, which I've never had before, and it was so good! It's like a crispy calzone...thin dough on the top and bottom with a blend of melted cheese and spiced vegetables inside. They have other ones that contain beef and sausage too, which I'll have to try next time. I was very impressed with the food and hospitality and will definitely come back with my family!
