I recently had the pleasure of staying at a condo in Mammoth, California. The location was great, but let's just say the cleaning service could use a little more... well, cleaning! As a fellow vacation home owner, I pride myself on maintaining high standards for my rental. After checking out, I realized I'd left my laptop behind. I returned to the condo, and much to my surprise, my access code still worked! I felt like a secret agent sneaking back in--only to discover the cleaning crew was there. I thought, "Great! I can observe the pros at work!" Spoiler alert: it was less "pro" and more "proceed with caution." Since we were a large party that stayed for 5 days, I figured I had some time to get some work done before hitting the road. These cleaners were in and out in about 30 minutes, which is impressive if you're trying to set a world record for the fastest cleaning service. But let's be real: it felt more like a choreographed dance routine than an actual cleaning. For a cleaning fee of $200+, I expected a deep clean, not a quick once-over that left me wondering if they were just dusting for fingerprints. And here's a fun little twist: they left the kitchen sink running the entire time! I'm no environmentalist superhero, but in a state with a water shortage, that's a pretty bold move. It's like they were trying to audition for a role in "Water Wasteland: The Musical." In comparison, I pay my own cleaning team $175 for three people to clean my property for at least four hours each week. So, I couldn't help but think, "What do I need to do to get my money's worth? Hire a marching band to clean my place?" As a renter, I would not have been pleased if I were the next guest. I'm actively seeking out the owners of this property to share my findings because, let's face it, the current property management could use a little more TLC--Tender Loving Cleaning. In conclusion, while the condo itself was beautiful, the cleaning service was about as thorough as a toddler's attempt at tidying up. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously so future guests don't need to channel their inner detectives to figure out if the place was actually cleaned. read more

Our Mammoth rental was amazing! It was very clean, I usually walk in with disinfectant wipes and am grossed out. Not this time! We have pets and it was the first time that I felt that they were catered to with treats, bowls, and even a wall rack to hang your leash. They even provided a brand new leash in case you forgot yours. The kitchen was well stocked, the linens were soft and the beds were super comfortable. The communication from the host was amazing. We had an after hours heating issue, and within 20 minutes or less the problem was resolved. I will definitely book through Nomadness rentals again! Foerster #48 is a great condo with a five- minute walk to the Eagle lift. Perfect for a ski weekend. We were a crew of six men, and with three bedrooms, pull-out couch and the bunk beds we each had our own bed. The place was clean and well-equipped with all we needed to cook, lounge and enjoy. We had a few issues; the pellet stove, the downstairs bathroom and a clogged kitchen sink. Jessica, our management team contact, was extremely responsive and got her maintenance crew on it. I recommend this condo for a fine close-to-the-lift ski weekend. read more

All communication was through text messages and emails. Instructions were easy to follow and responses to my text messages were quickly replied. We did get ourselves in trouble when we went to return the parking pass to the room and were locked out since it was 1 minute passed out check out time. Woooops!! We stayed in property #375 room 302 at the Bridges. Condo cabin was so awesome. Great views, bedrooms where spacious the showers were good, water pressure good. The jacuzzi worked really nicely & so did the bbq grill. A little out dated with carpet in the bathrooms but over all no other complaints. Also needs blinds for the master and living room area lol. 10/15 min from Mammoth Main Lodge, there is a Ski lift about 2-4 min from the bridges but not working due to not having a lot of snow. This apartment was the perfect winter escape! Cozy and comfortable, it felt like home after a long day on the slopes. The location is great - just a quick drive to the lifts and close to everything we needed! Its also pretty close to a shuttle stop if you don't feel like driving. Nomadness broke their contract with us and ruined our vacation! In January 2024 we rented from Nomadness one of the new condos at Snowcreek to use during Spring Break same year. On Saturday 03/30 we arrived at the condo believing that everything was fine. We punched in the door code and opened the front door to find that it was fully occupied. The Nomadness representative said that the condo we originally rented was now not available but they had another place for us. The new place was not even CLOSE to what we rented. The house was old, dark, divided in 4 different levels, had only one suite, and was in a completely different area. We refused to stay, but it was an Easter weekend, and the mountain was in its full capacity. We were informed by Nomadness that the client in our original rental, Carol, had a gas leak and was relocated to our rental until Saturday, but on Saturday she REFUSED to leave the property as her vacation was only finishing on Monday. We were pure collateral damage! We actually found out there is nothing that protects clients if Nomadness breaks their contract. After many frustrating phone calls, we received a $1000 refund back on our credit card even though we didn't agree to a settlement as we were expecting to negotiate around 50% back of what we paid originally as compensation for all the stress Nomadness had caused to ourselves and guests for the vacation. Nomadness also offered a free night on our next rental (non-holiday) on top of the $1000. Here is my problem with the $1000...It doesn't even cover the cost of the 2 nights Carol spent in our rental. So I asked for 2 free nights on our next rental instead of 1. Nomadness did not give us the 2nd free night and basically said they are not negotiating with us. In fact, NomadnessRentals did not give us anything that we asked for. They totally imposed on us what they wanted to give. We tried to negotiate many times, but they did not budge. Nomadness handled the situation very poorly and clearly do not know how to handle challenging situations. Response to the below response from Nomadness. I was not upgraded to a better place as you can read in my description above. The gas leak was not my problem. I was angry but never offended anyone. In fact I complimented your employee Larissa for being able to keep her cool during my frustration. Don't put this on me! Just own your mistakes. By the way if you think that adding a SPA was an upgrade, you definitely did not walk both properties. read more

DO NOT book through this company. I wish I had believed and listened to all the horrible reviews. I'm always skeptical when I read bad reviews and think sometimes it is the person. However, everyone who left a bad review was right. They are horrible. The day before our drive to Mammoth, we received a government warning about severe conditions and potential threat to life regarding driving to Mammoth. We live 7 hours away. We decided it was the safe choice not to go. We asked this rental company for a refund and they said no. If fact, they were extremely unhelpful and continued to pass it off to management. There is no management. It's one person. We lost over $1000 and they never offered us a credit or to use the room another weekend. Such a huge disappointment. I've heard there are many lovely places to stay in Mammoth, so stay away from here, go somewhere else. read more

NO TRUCKS ALLOWED! called them specifically to get them to sign off on parking. They went back on thier word. Said it was ok then after the fist night it wasn't. not honest people here. We had a reservation for a long-weekend trip, when a once-in-a-season blizzard was scheduled to come through. CalTrans was telling people not to travel, and Nomadness refused to give us any refund, saying that technically the roads were open the day of check-in and checkout (even though the other 2 days the highways were closed and the mountain was closed). I tried to meet them half way and say I was willing to take a partial refund, and they refused. I had other friends staying at other nearby rentals whose property owners happily refunded them, knowing it was treacherous to try and travel to Mammoth that weekend. I know the location of this place is nice, but I cannot in good conscience give anything more than 1-star rating for how insensitive and inflexible they were. The unit we rented from them was very clean and comfortable and had so many nice touches that made us feel at home. This was the 2nd time for us staying at this fabulous, dog friendly hotel, the Village Monache! It's right in the new village, and the pool and jacuzzies are surrounded by the view of the beautiful mountains. We coudn't ask for better bedding or living room/sleeper sofa set up. This community of townhomes is in a great location on a golf course. The surrounding area is pure tranquility. The one unit we stayed at was emaciated with all the cooking needs. The inside decor was modern and warm making it easy to enjoy feeling relaxed and comfy. I decided to walk around the premises and the walk allowed me to go different directions finding all the scenery beautiful. The landscape was kept up nicely. I liked the underground parking lot and it felt very safe and secure. It was a delight to watch the golfers play and they seemed very relaxed also. I called to ask if there will be any discounts. The representative confidently told me "I can tell you there will be no discounts given this year but if you book today I can give you ten percent off." I booked the property that day only because she said I had to book to get the ten percent off. Two days later I received an email saying there was a discount for 30% off bookings. I called, spoke to the manager and she would not honor the false sales pitch despite the incorrect information I received and the push for me to book immediately. Quite frustrating and poor ethics in customer service. They should honor discounts when there is false information provided. I don't plan to do business with them any longer unfortunately. read more
