We are visiting from AL and wanted some great pizza. The hotel we are staying said go try Nonna's. We ordered the upside down Sicilian and it was the best pizza I've had. My son is a pizza nut and said it's in the top 3 of his ever eaten pizza. We travel all over the US and Chicago style is our favorite. This put it to shame. I only came here because the other place that was recommended (Martiniellos) was closed. I wasn't sure whether they were open because it was so dimly lit. I walked in and took a brief look at what was in the display case. I ordered Julianna's special hero and a rice ball. I wanted to get a garlic knot but they wouldn't see me just one, I'd have to get three, so I passed. There was a little bit of a wait but finally my food was ready. The rice ball was good but I didn't realize until after I left that sauce is NOT included. Also, this one had meat in it (not a bad thing but again, wasn't aware). The sandwich is where things took a turn. The bread was as hard as a rock, like it's something you'd give someone you don't like! I've had this sandwich before at other places and the one thing those places had that this one didn't was a plethora of sauce. The bread was already tough and dry, the chicken cutlet was burned and there wasn't enough sauce. It was pretty disappointing. Amazing from the beginning to the end. The server was amazing and attentive. Was served fresh warm bread with butter and was served fast enough for the food to be streaming hotttt...and delicious It is too far out for me but when you have a friend you can visit or a car finding parking isn't gonna be easy but eating there is worth it. The music plays but not over powering and its so calm and cozy good for friends and couples. The servings are so filling I was able to take food home. We were greeted by the owner upon walking in and he made sure that we were taken care of. They start you off with complimentary bread, which was warm and soft. Mixing it with their in-house olive oil that had rosemary, garlic, and red pepper really set it off. I ordered the fettuccine pesto with chicken. It was delicious, it had the right balance of pesto to noodle to chicken ratio. My wife ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. She said it was delicious, and even let me try it. Ambience was very nice very welcoming. Got to the counter and placed an order for Grandma slice and an order of garlic knots. Everything on display look delicious. The guy at the counter got caught up with another customer and took forever to put my order and the oven. While sitting there I noticed he didn't properly wash his hands when needed to. He assisted another co-worker move some dishes and to a bin then he walked over to the counter got a napkin wiped his mouth then got somebody else's order out of the oven. What an amazing find! Parking can be tough since it's on a busy boulevard. We walked in and immediately felt like family. We were greeted warmly. We ordered a pie to stay and the atmosphere was delightful. Very clean and looked nice. The waitress was more than accommodating. She was very pleasant and helpful. Yesterday, 3/3/2025, I went and the customer service (gentleman who was tossing dough, and the elder gentleman who had taken my order) was exceptional. They all deserve 5 stars. If you are paying with cash, BE CAREFUL. Even though I paid for my order with cash, I was charged a 4% credit card convenience fee. The cashier told me to pay $4.35, even though I was supposed to only pay $4.20. I didn't notice they overcharged me by 15 cents until I got home and looked at my receipt. 15 cents isn't a huge deal, but the fact that they list the credit card price as the price they charge you (regardless of how you pay) is unprofessional. It was my fault that I didn't double-check, especially after what happened to the woman in front of me. She also paid with cash, and she went back to the register and asked for a dollar back because they charged her the extra 4% convenience fee. The food (at least the garlic knots) is ok, but BE CAREFUL if you pay with cash. From my visit, they seem to have a pattern of overcharging customers and hoping they won't notice. read more

WOW !!!!!!! Came to the East Coast for a cruise. Hotel folks recommend NONNA DELIA'S for their food. We called to reserve a table of 10. We walked into the place, it's small, friendly and cozy. We were seat quick, orders were taken quick with lots of substitutions and add-ons. Robert, the owner was behind the counter barking orders and passing food to the servers. Robert, greeted our table and he was an absolute kick and super friendly. All the food was excellent. We had pizza, salads, sandwiches, calzones, canoles, clams & pasta. We food back to the hotel to finish in the morning. The place was hoping with patrons dining in and take out. The only sad thing was we watched our Dodgers lose to the Mets that night, but we gained friends with Robert & the gang at NONNA DELIA'S of Queens, NY. The sauce didn't go with the salad. Linguine white clam sauce - 0/5: Had a very sour taste to it which left a strange after taste. Couldn't eat more of it Chicken frances - 2/5: Chicken was ok but the sauce was very thick and was subpar to other places I've had Chicken Parm - 2/5: Another ok dish but the spaghetti seemed very dry as well as the chicken Chicken Marsala 2/5: The mushroom sauce was ok as well as the chicken. Nothing special but at least the chicken dishes were the best part Di Mara - 0/5: This dish came with mussels, clams, and the squid/calamari and we chose penne as out noodles.
